  5. here's me thinking that city folk were open minded and all that malarky... Daft, your bike is fab and you enjoy it so who gives a stuff what that lazy article of a friend thinks? I love how individual you are and how you don't normally give two shits what people think!!!

  8. would you not be better going to a ....tech... forum rather than a nintendo one?
  9. LACED WITH ANTHRAX!!! hahaha
  10. I hope you aren't that kind of person that likes free stuff that other people provide :P I've got a friend (loose term) who does that, never buys a bloody round of drinks, or helps with any food or party costs. Fucker.
  11. I've actually had a few good days!! Enough to not justify posting in this thread's other half! The cat was in to be "done" and he's come home with a little open wound, no stitches, no collar. Bit all over the place after the op and the traumatic ride home (he hates the car) but he's settling back at home and was chasing an ant in the hallway earlier... XD
  12. its not possible to die from eating nothing in 3 days... heck its not even really possible to die without drinking anything for 3 days. Anorexics live for years on no food, so there's gotta be a different reason
  13. MODWINNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!! first the thread change and now this!!!! *throws potatoes at odders*
  14. get the fuck off my grass would ye! *throws potato*
  15. *massive hugs for rez* Chin up mate, you are awesome and that place obvs doesn't know it!!! It's lovely that Claire is looking out for you too
  16. Yep, lost 5.5lbs over about 3 months (christmas and january) and 3lbs last week, 4lbs the week before. I'm lighter than I've been for at least year, i've maintained since I started at the gym... just didn't really take a huge effort to my food intake until recently =P New dress size ftw!!! I've ordered a VLCD meal replacement called Exante. Not doing a full meal replacement system, adding a meal on as well given my exercise habits and additional weight (as per their advice) Hopefully the ketosis will help my weight go a bit faster. I have a lot of problems with weight gain/extreme hunger thanks to certain medications and I'm in dire need of shifting a LOT of weight to aid my exercising. I'm gonna completely fuck up my joints the way i'm going
  17. I do it for both burning calories! Gaining stamina, strength & good muscle tone is a bonus... the more muscle you have the easier it is for your body to burn moarrrr!
  18. Protein shakes are just easier for people who don't like consuming so much meat/eggs. They are good for both weights and cardio, they help you go on further and they definitely help with muscle recovery. If you are doing a few presses at home its not worth it, for the amount of calories, but you'll find most of the people here on protein shakes are actually members and regular attenders of a gym =P Its not worth spending the money if you don't use it properly, and all of us know that! For the people trying to lose weight I found an interesting resource: http://www.dukandiet.co.uk Check the "True Weight" test. Mine is 13 stone 7, which puts me at an "overweight" BMI of 27!!! Hard to believe! Good for people who aren't sure if their bmi is an accurate representation of their body.
  19. and the cardio is a vital part of the workout to improve general fitness & ability, lung & heart function. lol flinkeh, i'm not an amateur! You cheeky biatch! :P I thought the whole point of the "no more huge threads" was to keep things fresh. I couldn't see it in the last 5 pages therefore n00 thread! If a mod wants to merge I'll take it on board for next time =P
  20. I went to the gym today woohoo. Still aching a lot (my legs are cramping any time I use my calf muscles!) so I just did a small workout 15 minutes each of cardio and weights.. I'm onto 4kg dumbells, from 3kg (thanks to the 8kg kettlebell training!). When I started 2kg weights were TOUGH. I'm achieving! woohoo! I saw a girl using the 1kg weights and I wondered if she was even getting a workout at all =P (doing the same typical weight workouts as I was!) I'm finding everything SO much easier than when I began in July. I can maintain a hell of a lot longer on cardio based workouts. When I started I jumped on the crosstrainer and I could barely maintain enough momentum (about 4.5kmph) to keep the machine on, for 1 single minute. Now I'm averaging a 1km in 6!! I can do 25 minutes of around that speed as a warm up =P
  21. lol lock yourself in the bathroom while everyone wets themselves!! ahaha I don't get a lot of pain associated with hangovers, just insane hunger.. :P
  22. The Irish are on tier -1 Damn right we know how to drink!!!
  23. Yep, getting it into a routine is a definite way of keeping it up. Cardio is wonderful for your overall well being and health (even if you can't afford to do weighttraining or whatever) so its the best thing to start on I feel a million times better thanks to doing a lot of cardio - my lungs are healthier and I have more energy! Yay! I also completely agree - those slendertone things are like tens machines, you'd have to have them on 24/7 and they've got very little cardiovascular benefits.
  24. I conquered the bullies by completely ignoring them and moving on with my day... MCJ is right, most of them will never get that far in life because of their attitude. I know one of the people who used to torment me (the ringleader) is now unemployed with very little achievement in life other than drinking :P
  25. Death by DS games. haha brilliant!
