Thinking about this game makes me really depressed. It looks amazing and it's been a while since the last big budget genre defining game (RDR2 for me)... it's just the first person perspective means I might not be able to play it. I've gotten over it as a creative/gameplay choice... the only problem left is first person games make me feel really nauseous. I was feeling a bit ill just watching a 10 minute gameplay video Last FP game I tried was Sea of Thieves and an hour of that made me need a lie down. I'll probably still give it a go but still, gutted.

I always thought there were about 4 courses and a few different character skins for Mario but actually looking it up there's 16 sets!

Really struggling to play Rayman Legends. I've been wanting to finally get to this game since playing the demo on Wii U but now that I've got round to it, I'm not really feeling it. The levels themselves are fun but everything surrounding them just feels... like a mobile game? There's no story, I'm unlocking stuff but it all seems pretty meaningless. The gameplay itself is fun and obviously it looks absolutely gorgeous but yeah, dunno. I'll press on, just unlocked the second world

I find the pronoun thing pretty tedious. To clarify, by all means include what you want to include in your Twitter bio or whatever, but telling people they have to start using them?

Incredible numbers. Animal Crossing selling more than the Gamecube console itself did! Increasing the hardware forecast to 25 million is pretty bullish. If they reach that the console should easily surpass the 100mil mark in its lifetime.

Had a great time with this game on Wii U. I’m pleased a lot more people will be able to enjoy it. I don’t feel compelled to buy it a second time.

It might make sense for Playstation Plus to start including more indie games on there given reports of how badly indies sell on Playstation.

The PS5 controller looks so much more comfortable than the DS4. Really glad they went the Switch Pro/Xbox shape. A bit weird that they would introduce a back button peripheral that clips on, and then not include that feature built into the Dual Sense.

There's the Xbox Series X. One of the many features is Smart Delivery, and their in-house game devs are under the 'Xbox Game Studios' name (similar to 'Playstation Studios'). It's one SKU of console. There are reports that they will also be releasing a second, digital version for cheaper (similar to the second PS5 disk-less SKU, no idea what that's called), but that will also be a streaming box. Could be a big deal, we'll see. Regardless, Xbox are selling an ecosystem, Playstation are selling a console.

They continue making great moves, very impressive to add a feature like that to an already amazing service.

I don't think you can look at one example as evidence that one console manufacturer looks at new game design possibilities and the other doesn't, especially as Sony's first demonstration of the SSD was all about faster fast travel in Spider-Man. I'm also not sure the whole dimension swapping thing in Ratchet looks particularly fun, to me at least? Has Microsoft's messaging been mixed? They've been very clear as far as I can tell, especially thing like backwards compatibility and how all their games on Game Pass etc.

I'm not trying to convince anyone, I've no need. That seemed to be the general consensus after it came out. Interesting talk but badly messaged and not the right time for it. No point getting into this again, you disagree, that's fine.
