  1. Wonder what it could be. Maybe just a story mission?
  2. If your Switch is defective you can make it un-defective by getting them to fix your joy con for free.
  3. I can't really think of much from a hardware point of view I'd like improved. Maybe smaller bezels I guess, obviously better joy-con quality. The battery (on the newer models at last) is very impressive and I can't see them altering the physical size of the thing. Maybe a front facing camera is likely with the whole increased interactivity part.
  4. An insider worth listening to... Emily Rogers twitter thread Nothing particularly ground-breaking but still interesting...
  5. I really love the hardware design, the box itself is lovely, same with the controller. The dashboard has gotten a lot better lately, thankfully.
  6. This game looks fantastic! Such a clever idea, no wonder it's getting such high marks.
  7. So many shadowdrops! Great Indie Direct, loads there of interest. Garden Story looks great, I groaned at the 2021 release date though but definitely one to watch!
  8. I'm hoping with it literally being the work of two guys (+ the composer) Covid shouldn't have much of an impact. Fingers crossed. Still blows my mind such an amazingly crafted game was made by such a small team, similar to Axiom Verge and Stardew Valley I guess.
  9. It's hard to know because we've no idea how far into development the game is, but the teaser trailer showed a ton and that was a year and a half ago. I'd say the biggest reason not to see it tomorrow is they might save it for a main Direct. The original game was in Nintendo's main E3 presentation. That's the word on the street, Friday 28th apparently, but as ever take that with a huge pinch of salt.
  10. I assume you'd say the same about the Vita then? A handheld that actually had no games on it, apart from indies. Excuse me? It's a very easy point to prove when the original post I was replying to was so badly thought out. You do realise that Nintendo only has 6 internal development teams, and the list I posted was based on the past 14 months? EPD 3 (Zelda): Working on BOTW2 EPD 4: Released Ring Fit Adventure under a year ago EPD 5 (Splatoon, Animal Crossing): Just released AC EPD 8 (3D Mario): Working on Odyssey 2? EPD 9 (Mario Kart, ARMS): ? EPD 10 (2D Mario): Released Mario Maker a year ago Putting out 11 original games in the past year? What a well thought out counter-point. Zelda II was all about thoughtful swordplay, knowing whether to swing high or low, or from above or underneath. It was far more tactical than most Zelda games in terms of combat and that eventually translated into Skyward Sword.
  11. I agree with you, but a shoutout to... In many ways the precursor to SS's combat.
  12. Sorry I meant Mario Golf. Between that, 2D Mario, an original Pikmin game, Donkey Kong, WarioWare, there's a few franchises still to go. Without even counting things like Star Fox, Kid Icarus, Punch-out, Pilotwings or F-Zero. Even Mario Kart could get an original game on Switch at some point.
  13. In the past 14 months: Mario Maker 2, Fire Emblem Three Houses, Luigi's Mansion 3, Astral Chain, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3, Daemon X Machina, Ring Fit Adventure, Pokemon Sword/Shield, Animal Crossing, Paper Mario, 51 Worldwide Classics. Yes ports are on the way this year too, it's ok. Mario Tennis Wario Star Fox Donkey Kong Pikmin 2D Mario ? Sequels to BOTW, Odyssey, maybe ARMS, a Splatoon spin-off, something new, who knows.
  14. Wouldn't be surprised to see BOTW2 next year, or at least I think that's the plan. And given Paper Mario had a two month reveal > release, who knows what's on the way...
  15. I'm in ! this could be a lot of fun! Hopefully they'll get as many of the actors involved, I assume Daisy Ridley will be in it for starters.
  16. Phil Spencer while guest-starring on Gary Whitta's Twitch show had some nice words about Nintendo... https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2020/08/nintendo_is_a_jewel_in_the_industry_and_has_the_best_first-party_pedigree_says_xbox_boss
  17. In what way? Not once did I buy the original Control thinking "I'm going to get an upgraded version on next gen consoles for free". The disk will still play in next gen consoles (well, it will on XBox, Playstation are being so unclear on backwards compatibility who knows) it just won't be the enhanced version.
  18. It's not important as such, plenty other issues for them to sort, but it's a convenience thing. When my Switch controller lasts 40 hours and my DS4 lasts 6 you have to question why that is. It's annoying having to constantly charge it every 2-3 sessions, especially if you're not sat next to an outlet.
  19. You're surprised why people want a longer battery life on their electronics?
  20. They did invest in new studios? So just the name thing? "Game Pass" is pretty catchy, that's what they're selling these days, not so much the box to get it on. I'm pretty sure there are going to be games available on day 1.
  21. Hooray, actually decent battery life on a Playstation controller! Though the improvement isn't as much as I would have liked. Still, baby steps... It's baffling to me that they thought they could release the DS4 that lasts such a short time when the competition are getting 20 or 40 hours out of theirs. Mine last about 4 or so hours, maybe 6 at most.
  22. Hope you’re right. In my experience it’s been The Witness and Sea of Thieves, but then I don’t play any other first person games. The latter had you spinning around constantly on the spot on your ship which definitely didn’t help.
