  1. I don't think you'll be missing much for the rest of the year apart from Ratchet and Horizon, thank god for Horizon or I'd have been similarly a bit let down by the drought that's on atm. Definitely think selling your PS4 would be a better bet though, if you're jus going to buy the PS5 again anyway.
  2. Sony shuts down PS3, Vita, PSP stores because who knows Shitty move, but it's been rumoured for a few days.
  3. Yeah it's been a pretty regular occurrence that Switch games dominate all-format charts. Though recently speaking there's barely been anything big to play on the other consoles for a few months now.
  4. Yeah fair enough, I was reaching with that one !
  5. When you rush a potentially great game, would be more appropriate. But yeah that list of fixes is ridiculous. I'll still wait for patch 1.8 or 9 before diving in though.
  6. Please tell me there are no comedians, wrestlers or MMA fighters in that line up
  7. Looks like Nintendo are getting back to their 2019 cadence of a big exclusive every month: February: Bravely Default II, SM3DW + Bowser's Fury March: Monster Hunter Rise April: New Pokemon Snap May: Famicom Detective Club June: Mario Golf Super Rush July: Skyward Sword HD August: No More Heroes 3
  8. In three days, insane. Add a few million Switch sales in Japan this month.
  9. Mind-boggling. So many of those new games look fantastic.
  10. Game Pass keeps winning! Awesome news, day 1 for anything Drinkbox puts out for me.
  11. How 'Metroidvania' is the original Axiom Verge, are we talking Super Metroid where you are constantly getting lost and not knowing what to do, or the Ori games where it's pretty linear and you pretty much know where to go at all times.
  12. Fair enough. I guess I'm just keeping expectations in check. Nintendo haven't chased graphics power for ages, and they've sold 90 million units in 4 years without it. DLSS is exciting for sure but I'm not expecting One X performance just like that. Unless Nintendo are shifting strategy.
  13. Really? I've not read anything about a huge increase in power. I can't see how you can fit a One X in the Switch's form factor. I'm expecting marginally better than a PS4, if that.
  14. Not a Monster Hunter fan but glad to see it getting such great reviews. Big exclusive and should shift a few more console sales.
  15. Maybe not launch titles but I could see them releasing a few big hitters within the first 6 months of release. The OG Switch probably had the best launch year of any console in terms of games. Zelda + Mario + Splatoon again?
  16. Sounds about right. Nintendo are expecting their best financial year ever, so a Switch Pro + big games to go with it seems likely.
  17. Interesting how there's no real info, just an announcement that they're working on something together. Nice artwork at least
  18. Smart Delivery, not quite "just a fancy name", as some people suggested. Xbox Smart Delivery Turned Out To Be A Pretty Big Deal Xbox continues to set the standard with everything that isn't exclusive games.
  19. It's annoying having a whopping 4 trophies on screen at any one time but for me what's even worse is each one is afforded about 20 letters to play with, so if you can't read what it says, you have to click into each one.
  20. How many of those "weird Nintendo" do you get per console generation? Because so far the Switch has 3 major ones, and we're only halfway through the lifecycle. Wii Sports > 1-2 Switch (you can't belittle the latter, when the former is a pretty standard sports game, with motion controls) Wii Fit > Ring Fit Adventure Not sure NES Remix really qualifies under your own rules. Again, I'm not saying we have a ton of "weird Nintendo" to date, but there's enough that makes me question people saying we don't get any.
  21. Wow 100 games! Looking forward to see what Drinkbox have been up to. Also maybe some Tunic? Feels like that was revealed years ago.
  22. Not sure why I'm trying to argue with someone who thinks Nintendo need to do the equivalent of wank off a pig in a game to finally achieve "weird", but... none of these qualify as weird to you? Like I said, I'm not trying to say that Nintendo are at peak quirkiness and originality with the Switch, but between the above, ARMS, Labo, Ring Fit, MK Home Circuit especially, it's obvious its still part of their dna.
  23. Having played through what feels like three quarters of this, I can see why Sony sent it out to die. It's really not much of anything tbh. The puzzles are almost offensively simple and beyond the nifty painting mechanic, there just isn't much here. Nice visuals but otherwise, quite a let down.
  24. This is more like competing with Epic, these games are completely free, unlike Game Pass. They've no real need to compete with Epic, their main competitor is Game Pass and they even said as much, including their need to compete against it. This is a nice first step, but a long way to go.
