  1. I've already said that games releasing with bugs is a big problem in the industry, but it's a separate issue. Who determines "quality" and therefore what the RRP of a game should be? That's a ridiculously unfeasible way of determining retail price.
  2. I don't understand the bolded part. They're both big openworld games with dozens of hours of content in them, so why isn't Days Gone worth a similar price to BOTW? Obviously most people would argue there's a difference in quality between the two but that's ultimately subjective, and is obviously not a good way of pricing games. The bugs argument absolutely, but putting that aside, sure I don't see why a big AAA openworld game isn't worth £60. If people spend a tenner (more like 20 in London) to watch a 2 hour film in the cinema, getting 40-50+ hours of interactive content from a game like Days Gone for £60 doesn't seem a stretch at all.
  3. Why not? What's that suggestion based on, the quality of the game? How do you know this? Given Nintendo games prove otherwise. And don't say that Nintendo games = good quality, because whilst that's true, there's plenty of equal quality games out there that sell for bargain basement prices shortly after.
  4. Of course not, because gamers have been trained for years to wait for price cuts. Had the industry (Nintendo apart) not shifted to a race to the bottom model of pricing then Days Gone staying at or near full price would have done fine. It wasn't the best game but it was far from a bad one in terms of quality.
  5. Thanks! Sorry I didn't mean to trouble anyone to specifically look for me, just wondered if anyone knew off hand! Same region so shouldn't be a problem, I don't have my save file anywhere though, so hopefully it's in the cloud somewhere
  6. I played Horizon on my PS4 (which I've now sold), if I download the Complete Edition on my PS5, will I be able to have access to my save data (saved on the server?) and carry on where I left off? It's just to play the DLC really, that's all I'm interested in, not the base game. I would have thought it'd be simple but you hear all these horror stories about how broken PS4 > PS5 compatibility is, so who knows...
  7. Putting aside his dubious logic and naive view of people parting with cash, I think this sums up one of the reasons why Nintendo don't drop their software prices. I've seen many posters say they'll buy a Switch game at release because "may as well, it won't drop in price".
  8. It's capitalism and elitism in its most bare, ugly and horrendous form. Business clashing with sport. Money is king, with history, fans and competition being placed firmly at the very bottom of the list of priorities. I'm not even a fan of football so take the above with a grain of salt, but I find it disgusting.
  9. Probably not for me (ironically given I'm a photographer), but it does look really great!
  10. Great to hear, I can't wait to watch the rest. So well made. It somehow feels like a modern-day 80s show. Love the characters, writing, direction, everything.
  11. It's a pretty horrible looking game generally tbf Is this Aerial_Knight guy a big deal? Bit weird to put your Twitch handle in a game title no?
  12. How good is Cobra Kai? Half way through season 1 and I'm hooked, absolutely love it!
  13. Also nice to see Nintendo showcase studios from all around the world. It seems like a big focus of theirs the last few presentations
  14. Yeah replaying the game a second time is ridiculous, just grindy trophy nonsense. Though I still did it for some reason
  15. Shame no Garden Story or Sports Story, but then I feel like they don't often show the same game in more than one presentation so maybe they were never going to show up.
  16. Great presentation. I thought it was easily one of the better recent Indie Worlds. No huge megatons but Oxenfree 2 was a cool surprise. I've never ben into skating games but man Olli Olli World looks stunning. Love the art style! Skul looks great too. It's like the visuals of Owlboy with the gameplay of Dead Cells. Definitely getting that. The Longing looks really interesting too, and out today! I wish TMNT had platforming sections like the old NES game, brawlers are a bit meh imo. The female narrator though...
  17. I still find it weird that we've gone from £45 games on Amazon to £70 on Amazon in the space of a year. I was fine with the £10 increase in price this gen but I figured retail copies of games wouldn't jump to the inflated digital prices. I guess they'll go down eventually. Keen to play this/anything new but not at £70.
  18. I think there's a suit or power you can equip that has a 30% chance (or whatever) to multiply your combo meter. I used that on one of the construction hideouts and got to 100 pretty easily.
  19. Steamworld Dig: 2013 Steamworld Heist: 2015 Steamworld Dig 2: 2017 Steamworld Quest: 2019 Steamworld Dig 3: 2021??? Just saying. Also, more Sports Story would be cool. Golf Story was such a delight, brings back great memories of that amazing first year with the Switch
  20. I really like the option to hide games, that's the big win for me with this update tons of rubbish PS+ games from last gen i don't want clogging up my library view.
  21. Perfectly put. Way better than I managed.
  22. Oh please. I think you know I never said the above. It speaks volumes that you have to resort to doing that to make your point. Moving on, genuinely this time.
  23. Ok mate. Honestly, I don't even know what we're discussing anymore. I'm sure you're right. Mario Kart, Splatoon, Zelda, Luigi's Mansion and Ring Fit Adventure are all similar experiences because they have rubbish, shallow stories. Moving on...
