  1. It always felt waaaay too ambitious, I wouldn't be surprised if it's in development hell and needs serious scaling back to ever see the light of day.
  2. Yeah the credits theme is great. Enjoyed episode 7 a lot, more than the previous couple. So many great little touches, they're building something special here. I know I said I love how inter-connected the Disney SW world is, but when they said they were visiting Bracca I audibly groaned at the prospect of them somehow shoehorning in a young Cal appearance. Thankfully they resisted. Now if only they could ditch blander than grey paint Echo...
  3. Probably the Nintendo Direct but the devs already said Silksong won't be at E3
  4. Looks outstanding. Shame about the 2022 release date, but Covid I guess. PS: Rabbids-Luma may be simultaneously one of the cutest and most disturbing thing I've seen. PPS: This'll be like Demon's Souls and everyone will call it Spark of Hope PPPS: Fuck yes. PPPPS: Mario + Rabbids, officially a bigger deal than Far Cry or Assassin's Creed Ok last one: I just found out it was leaked by Nintendo ! I wasn't aware, thankfully just a nice surprise during the (otherwise pretty dull) Ubi show.
  5. Sorry to hear you don't look back at the last 6 years or so fondly. I'm the total opposite. Adore TFA, TLJ, Solo and Rogue One, adore Rebels and The Mandalorian, I thought the storyline of Fallen Order was excellent. Bad Batch is great and well from what I've seen of season 7 of The Clone Wars that's pretty fantastic too. Light of the Jedi was outstanding and the High Republic in general is getting rave reviews. I think quality wise it's been top notch, Ep IX and the storylines of a couple of games apart. I look at the comic/book retcons as isolated incidents. There's been so much cross-referencing between the films, series, books, comics and games, I think Lucasfilm have done a terrific job crafting a cohesive world. Sure there's a few retcons here or there, but they're what people notice, the exception. imo. For every tweaked Caleb Dume/Depa Billaba storyline, there's a dozen interwoven plots that do work. And hey, Phase 1 of the MCU was pretty rough at times, they didn't get everything right from the beginning either. And yeah, 20 million probably does include Game Pass players you're right! It's still one of the biggest properties around, regardless of what some idiotic YouTube clickbait videos say.
  6. Also, 20 million sales! Amazing numbers. But Star Wars is dead apparently. YouTube told me so.
  7. First I've seen of it, blown away. And it was great to hear them call it a hand crafted adventure. I figured it'd be another procedurally generated game.
  8. Thankfully I watched the Summer Game Fest opener on a delay so I could skip through everything I wasn't interested in... which basically amounted to about 99% of it. Everything just seemed so samey. Also, I really don't get the hype around Kojima . But pleased for those that do I guess. Planet of Lana looked great at least. Sort of Ori meets Flashback/Another World? Day of the Devs afterwards was fantastic too, tons of brilliant and DIFFERENT looking games. Yeah really not feeling it at all. Shame cause like you say it looks nice.
  9. Nice long look at Garden Story, looks great! Cosiest game of 2021 for sure.
  10. Wow, this game looks INCREDIBLE. Combat looks great, animations top notch, beautiful visuals. Xbox and Steam to start with, Summer 2021, so any day now?!
  11. Any chance this might be third person? I know they're pretty much a FP studio but I'd love to actually be able to play Starfield...
  12. They said the Direct will be 40 minutes "exclusively" on software. No wiggle room there. Plus why reveal hardware and compete for attention when you can have another big press blowout at a later date.
  13. And alienate a 90 million install-base, by showing graphics running on a different device? That's why I still don't think they'll push the "look how powerful this device is" angle. It'll be all about the bigger screen, better battery life, and 4K, a couple of weeks/months after E3. They'll want to leave as short a reveal > release time frame as possible.
  14. Just like the Switch Lite, the 2DS, the 3DS XL and the New 3DS it'll be revealed just after E3. Insiders seemingly got it wrong.
  15. A few years back was probably my favourite E3, not for anything in particular but I just remember taking a week off work, getting loads of snacks in, and my housemate and I watching all the conferences and then 3 days of non stop coverage. Mostly IGN streams but also some Kinda Funny and obviously Nintendo Treehouse. One of the best actual gaming moments I can remember was that very first Treehouse demo of BOTW. I can remember watching it and just being blown away from the very beginning.
  16. Andor possibly still filming, evidently filming on-location a lot more instead of using the Volume as much as Mando. Sounds like quite a large scale series. If the above is true it sounds like the Andor and Obi-Wan shows will debut before Mando season 3, which is a bit surprising. I figured we would go from Boba Fett in December straight to Mando, but thinking about it it's probably a good thing. Season 2 closed that storyline so well a bit of extra time before starting fresh wouldn't be a bad thing. Plus another two shows that don't star a dude in a Mando helmet to freshen things up a bit will be good. Really disappointed by this news. This is one of the shows I was most looking forward to. New Republic space coppers + starfighter battles, yes please. Hopefully it just means production will start at some point in the future. Favreau and Filoni have enough on their plate with Bad Batch, Boba Fett, Mando, Ahsoka and who knows what else.
  17. That's not what happened. One guy put up too much personal info on a publicly searchable site.
  18. Time to get the hype wagon rolling on this one, literally because it's seemingly Oregon Trail meets Slay the Spire. Reveal trailer from 2019: Teaser trailer from 2020: Exclusive article in PC Gamer a week and a bit ago with the first gameplay info Summary: - New structure! Roguelite road trip with progression between runs (DD1 had you making lots of runs to the same 4/5 areas, but it was one linear campaign) - 2.5D visuals during combat, 3D visuals for overworld exploration in your wagon - 5 areas. Successful run would take 5 hours - "Every region is divided into branching paths, each hode a battle or ruin to investigate or an encounter with survivors who need your help" - 9 characters at launch, 8 returning, 1 new. Skills for each have been expanded from 7 to 11. More characters on the way. - You pick 4 classes and they're with you until you win or lose. - Permadeath, character quirks and stress level are still a big part of gameplay, but now so are relationships between characters. Gameplay choices you make impact those relations. - Combat similar but more strategic and less reliant on RNG stats like accuracy (I think that's what they're getting at at least) - Lots of upgrades - DD1 made by five people. DD2 a team of 20. There's tons more in the article I'm probably forgetting. Releasing in Early Access in Q3 2021, full release about a year later. Lots of updates planned for the game, similar to DD1. Screenshots:
  19. I thought he and others (Sony as another example) had big problems with the ESA/E3. Not sure ego has anything to do with it, I always got the impression it was all about the games with him.
  20. I get that this on the low end, but I don't think it takes that much effort just to just spoiler tag anything that leaks in the build up to E3, it takes 2 seconds and is helpful for people who want to go in spoiler free
  21. The copyright for the game is down as being solely Nintendo, which I assume means they own the IP now. Watch Snip and Clip be a Smash character reveal in a couple of weeks...
  22. Keep meaning to try Part Time UFO, looked a lot of fun when they first revealed it.
  23. Not a post about GMTK, but for anyone who likes Mark Brown's content, there's a similar channel I discovered recently, some of you may not have seen before: https://www.youtube.com/c/razbuten/videos
