They're also throwing in a version of Kid Icarus that puts you right before the final level with all the treasures acquired I wish they'd give the Icarus IP to Team Cherry or Image & Form. I'd love a 2D sequel, wasn't that big a fan of Uprising.

Yes please! I'm tempted to go into IX having not watched any footage at all, but it'll be tough to resist.

Look up most Twitter replies or YouTube comments from the Hollow Knight community and one in ten is a plea to charge more for this incredible game. Glad you're loving it, I completely agree that games you can't stop thinking about when you're not playing are a rare treat. This was definitely one of those games for me. Once you're done, look up The Superforge on Youtube, he makes some fantastic lore videos on the game, there's a ton of really subtle environmental storytelling that goes on and catching up on it legit blew my mind.

The Weasel's article is a great way to torpedo a development team's trust in one another, especially when they're still together and working on content. Classy as always. God forbid he waits a little while before making his cherrypicked article of all the bad comments. I suspect you could write that sort of article about any game, and they'd probably be more interesting than that one which frankly wasn't even that compelling. "Frostbite is shit" really, we had no idea.

Cuphead, Katana Zero and Steamworld Quest for me. I have a feeling I'm not going to enjoy the latter though but we'll see. Cool idea for a thread

The collaboration happened when Aonuma and Miyamoto played the original when it came to Switch and fell in love with the game! As a dev you can’t ask for much better praise or validation than that!

I might skip this one. I was never much into the Game Boy apart from Tetris, a Mega Man game (no idea which one) and Six Golden Coins oh and Alleyway and Daedalian Opus. The latter was amazing.

Yes please, I'm going to try and avoid it till it's officially revealed, so spoiler tags would be much appreciated. @Julius I have to ask though... how good on a scale of 1 (Prequel posters) to 10 (Last Jedi poster) is it.

I'm hoping to spend two weeks over in Japan in the next year, so this thread has been really great and useful. The only thing that has me worried is the food. I'm not a big fan of most seafood

Wow, 7 of the top 13 are Nintendo exclusives. Yoshi beating out Sekiro is pretty impressive too.

The Switch is a lovely looking bit of kit though I'm sure you'll agree, so hopefully their next iteration is even better
