I definitely get what she's saying but I don't think it's true for all cases. It's all in the writing. I would however agree that it's probably easier to do great character development in TV Shows than it is with movies. I think the time length of TV shows doesn't only work for it but against it too. Writers craft an overall mythology arc but without knowing exactly how many seasons the show's gonna last they have no idea when to deliver the plot points along that arc. I agree Lost has probably gone on a little too long but it's been breakthrough in that the network gave the show a definite end date 3 seasons ago which gave the writers a lot more freedom in some ways to the deliver the show they want. Stuff like X Files got run into the ground because the network wanted the show to go on far longer than the creator ever intended. With American TV I kinda wish the networks would occasionally think more about the creative aspects than the money.

Brought on by a conversation in the HWYD thread... CINNAMON GRAHAM SANDWICH Surprisingly not bad, a sweet treat though nothing truly sensational. Shockingly, it tastes of cereal and bread. Probably wouldn't bother with again as the cereal is better off in milk. Quite dry. Thought about dabbling with the mayonnaise or something else to get rid of the dryness. Didn't though as my belly's feeling a little iffy due to last night's drinking. As a side, I love how the randomly generated short link is '3Yum'. Yum indeed!

Congratulamations Daft! Remember the feeling of finishing my final year dissertation and 'twas epic. Got hammered on mah todd last night. Just now going through my msn conversations to make sure I didn't say anything ridiculous and was surprisingly well behaved. Sent a text I didn't mean to send to a lady friend though. Out of context it doesn't sound bad at all, I simply asked if she wanted to go see a movie or something sometime (cheesy, eh?). But to cut a LONG story short... She's one of my really small circle of friends I have down here and it'd make things awkward if she's all UMM I DUN LYKE YOO LYKE DAT about it. Her and I have always found it awkward talking to each other (on my part, mainly cause she's really attractive and outta my league) but we get on famously when drunk. I have recent reason to believe she MAY like me like that (which kinda shocked me and has been driving me crazy since) but nothing even remotely concrete as she was drunk at the time. Anyway she text back saying "Yeah alright, just let me know when x" which sounds positive but now my paranoid brain is going "BUT WHAT IF SHE THINKS IT'S A GROUP OUTING?", "WHAT IF SHE SAID YES TO BE POLITE? SHE CAN HARDLY SAY NO TO A FRIEND WHEN FACED WITH SUCH A VAGUE QUESTION" "WHAT IF SHE SAID YES BUT DOESN'T REALLY GET WHAT YOU MEAN?" etc etc.. Kinda kicking myself for texting her big time. I wanna just ignore it but now she's said "yes" I'm curious. No way in hell am I asking her straight cause it'd make things a bit weird on outings with the tiny circle of friends if she said noooooooooooo. Anyway that ramble went on for far too long... Today I hope to use my empty house to film some more things for Sorry Mum. I wanted to go to the beach but it's pretty overcast

I can juggle!? Sorry peeps are feeling so down tonight. Sucks. Let's all form a drunkenly club and sort our problems out.

Today I caught up on Flash Forward and Fringe, applied for a few jobs and sat out in the garden reading Slaughterhouse Five. I have the house completely to myself this weekend but unfortunately all my friends are either busy, away or can't be arsed driving for an hour to get here. Ghey. I'm now off to Tesco to buy food for the weekend which will likely consist of lots of beer and a loaf of bread.

I loved. But at the same time it's a shame Comedy Central wimped out with the Mohammed thing. Latest Fringe Was awesome. This show is getting better and better.

As I've only had pay by hour jobs so far, I tend not to take sickies even when I'm a little sick. Being sick = loss of money. I can definitely see the temptation to pull an occasional sickie if I were paid on salary however.

I dunno, some of that is shocking but some of it is a bit misleading. The guy is clearly being sarcy with the questions and there are a couple of obviously sarcy non-serious answers there too.

Verdict: Mehhhh.

This format gets me excited in the downstairs AND backdoor area.
