I think I have attempted to play risk when I was a lot younger, but never really understood it and didn't finish the game. I imagine it has potential to be interesting, but it probably isn't abstract enough for me.

I think most people are more articulate on forums, as they have more time to think of the exact words and phrasing before they use them. I tend to use long words in real life anyway, but it's easier to use them here.

Azumanga is great for hilarity and slice of life, and marimite is good for characters and tension. Read my blog if you want more impressions of marimite.

I think quite a few of you have hit it on the head when you say that it's just text... I don't know if you can represent a full personality with that, even if you were trying to convey it. I find that in real life I'm introverted around people I don't know, and extroverted around those I do. I suppose here I just treat everyone like people I know.

I wonder this sometimes... When you talk to people on forums, do you use a persona, or do you act as you would in real life? Of course, a persona doesn't have to be clearly thought out- to a degree, I think people's personality alters a little whatever sitution they're in. As far as I know, I am as much like myself here as I am anywhere else. However, I suppose I'm a little more extroverted.

By the way, do happen to know of a sitution where the second derivative is 0 at a point that isn't an inflection? Because apparently such a thing exists, as if you find the second derivative to be 0 then you can't guarantee an inflection. (Kellet, this isn't relevant to your question so don't let it confuse you)

Has anyone heard of Maria-sama ga miteru? (sometimes shortened to marimite) It's about the sexual tensions in an all girls Catholic high school apparently, which makes the name awesome- it translates as The Virgin Mary is Watching You.

It's not liking Japan that annoys me, it's the huge number of people who have a warped perception of the place, thus making everyone think people who like Japan are idiots. The smilies can be cool though... ^_^ (I don't know why I like it, it just looks so happy)
