  1. Wapanese did indeed derive from wigger, and weaboo derived from wapanese, thanks to some slightly random 4chan word filter relating to a perry bible fellowship cartoon. But I can see where you're coming from Shino... I have always been interested in Japan, but don't have any dellusions of its grandeur. In fact, I was interested in it before it was cool, and now it is cool, I get tarred with the same brush as everyone else. So yeah, pointless weeaboo-ness annoys me. Seriously though, Kira is real right?
  2. I think manga is dirt cheap to make up for it... something like £1 per volume. (in Japanese, of course)
  3. Just be happy you aren't in Japan, where it's often £40 per volume, each containing about 2 episodes.
  4. For those who are interested, I went and found clips of all the OPs parodied in Lucky Star: Episode 1: Uchū Tetsujin Kyodain - Original - Parody Episode 2: Shōri da! Akumaizer 3 - Original - Parody Episode 3: Sore ga, ai desho? (Fumoffu OP) - - Episode 4: Sailor Fuku to Kikanjuu - Original - Parody Episode 5: Cha-La! Head-Cha-La (Dragonball Z OP) - Original - Parody Episode 6: Valentine Day Kiss - Original - Parody Wow, God knows why I did that... I suppose I'd better go to bed.
  5. I did the second paper actually... it was okay. I wish they'd chosen a more interesting topic than roads though.
  6. When I'm eating this, I don't give a damn. I'm thinking of a nice slice of ___
  7. I think that's right, 0.00008 mol dm^(-3) is an insanely dilute solution.
  8. Hmm, I feel mixed about Lucky Star 6... Some of it was great, in particular Lucky Channel, the seashell joke with Tsukasa, and Tsukasa humming the theme tune. On the other hand, they seem to be putting in pointless fan service, but then I suppose that's what you get with anime...
  9. Those are the only equations you need. Are you saying you need 1 dm^3 of a 0.08 mol dm^(-3) solution of NiCl, and you need to know what mass of NiCl.6H20 crystals to add? If this is the case, you need 0.08 moles of NiCl (as you are making 1 dm^3). So we need to work out the mass of 1 mole of NiCl crystals, which is Mr(Ni) + Mr(Cl) + 6Mr(H20). (using values from a periodic table this will give you the value in grams) Now, we want 0.08 of a mole, so simply multiply the calculated value by 0.08 to give the grams of crystals required.
  10. Haha, do they call him Mellow in the subs? It was Mello in the manga, Mellow amuses me.
  11. Don't worry, I did pretty much exactly the same thing, and I completely screwed up the microscope practical, and I got 105/120 for transport overall.
  12. OCR transport practical? Good luck, I did that this time last year. It's not too bad providing you really get a move on, as there isn't much time.
  13. Well, I will always take exams over coursework... in fact, I quite like exams, and the same definitely cannot be said for coursework.
  14. They should have removed the hat... that would be equivalent to the cake.
  15. Heh, what's general studies level Japanese like? If it's anything like general studies maths, then it's likely to be something like: "Me speak Japanese! Samurai! Tsunami! Karaoke!"
  16. I saw this, they are crazy. That guy who kept talking to the reporter was pretty scary... it was funny when the reporter exploded at him though.
  17. It's not as good as it sounds because one of the other ASs is general studies. I am doing four real A2s though, although I've finished two already because we take the maths exams really early.
  18. That it is. But I'd like to get an A, even though it is my 6th AS...
  19. I have a critical thinking retake this Friday... if anyone else is doing OCR, it's the one with the multiple choice at the beginning. It doesn't really matter as an exam, but I was irritated because I got a B last time, so I'm having another go.
  20. Well, if you're reading this Flinky, best of luck, and I'm sure you can see that you'll be welcomed back if ever you decide to return.
