You can tell I'm getting old. I cringe every time someone says banger or slaps when it comes to describe some great.

Sonic 3 trailer hitting tomorrow.
-
Nah. Got far too much stuff to play already. Plus, I'm burnt out on gaming at the moment.

There were rumours flying around the other week that something like this was on the cards. It was suggested Nintendo would be moving things forward a little to clear the way for the Switch 2 reveal, with some Directs happening sooner than expected. I guess this is what the rumour was talking about. Rather than spacing the Directs out, they are now mashing them together.

Man, if the trailer had me close to tears then the full thing is gonna have me bawling.

Aye, decent showing from us. Could have had a few more goals if our finishing was better, which was exactly the same issue last season. Here's hoping we can carry on our good start against Man U next week. @Julius gotta be happy with Chelsea's performance today as well.

Those stealth sections sound awful. Baffles me that developers still continue to put stuff like that in their games. It very rarely goes down well with players. Very happy to hear about the performance of the game. Given the state Jedi Survivor launched in, I didn't have high hopes for this but I'm glad it seems no where near as bad.

Yeah, Lost Legacy is a great time. The banter between Nadine and Chloe is top tier and the smaller game length makes for a snappy experience. Well worth a playthrough.

Uncharted 4 is my least favourite of the series. I found it dragged on far too long. I still enjoyed it but it's just I hold the other games to a very high standard. Totally agree about the voice acting and animations. The ones that feature the more personal moments between Nate and Elena are amazing.

I always use them as soon as I have saved up a fiver. Not giving out points for PS+ subscriptions is pretty scummy. It's a shoddy service in comparison to what Nintendo offer. At least you get cash back on physical goods and I love the icons/pics that you can get with your platinum points. The digital items and collectibles Sony dishes out still serve zero purpose.

Very nice! Look forward to reading how you get on with it.

It's a very similar situation to what Microsoft were in with Redfall. Difference here is that Concord does seem like a decent game and very polished, it's just the market isn't there. I get why companies are trying to get a foot in through door with the GaaS market but, like you said, it's a complete lottery and one that could and has cost studios dearly. I'm sat here playing Exoprimal as I write this. I think it's a great, if shallow, game but it's was another GaaS title that was destined to fail. Very little hype after the initial trailer, poor word of mouth, very few sales, fast discount and then content stopped after less than a year. Capcom chased the GaaS model with this game and I guarantee that had they put the time and resources into making a Dino Crisis remake they would have seen a better return.

Yeah, things like Destiny and Overwatch are clear inspirations for the game. The developers clearly wanted to make their own version of that but it's taken far too long to get out the door. I mean, both Overwatch and Destiny are shadows of their former sleves at this point and not nearly as popular as they once were. Sony's/Jim's strategy of having multiple GaaS type games was always a risky one. All you need is one big hit but when you have something like Fortnite continuing to rule the market in the GaaS shooter genre, I wouldn't even bother trying to break into it. I imagine Fairgame will end up in a similar situation and given that Marathan is supposed to be in development hell and pivoting to a more hero shooter type game, that will probably be the same as well. It's pretty frustrating when you consider that Naughty Dog had a fantastic mutliplayer mode in The Last of Us. All they needed was to expand on that a little and Sony would have had their GaaS hit. Instead, the game was turned into something it was never meant to be and ultimately cancelled. They didn't need to reinvent the wheel but instead just refine the base game a little. Funny that you mentioned Destruction All-Stars. I was just reading this morning how the servers have been down since May and people have bee trying to get an answer as to what is going on with it. It's a real bad look, especially when the game is still on sale but now doesn't really work properly. The joys of online only gaming. It's why I wanted to play Exoprimal before this kinda thing started happening with that.

Concord launched today. Gonna be interesting to see just how well/badly it does. Apparently it's taken 8 years to get it from an idea to market. Insanity. When the cost of making games is now so high, coupled with how long it's taking, it's no wonder a single flop can kill a studio.

Mixed and confusing messaging from the Xbox division seems to be the only thing that they have consistent with during this whole gen.
-
That's insane.

Yeah, miHoYo games have done stupidly well for Sony. Not having them on the PS4/PS5 would have been a lot of cash being left on the table. All these companies are wanting constant growth and given the state of the Western markets, I think entering and investing in these other markets this is the only way they are going to achieve it.

This has popped up on various European retailer websites. Given the release date looks to be November, I wonder if this is a possible announcement in an up and coming Nintendo Direct. I had a good time playing it back during the Wii era.

Along with the China and India projects, Sony have now added a new Hero project to their list.

Some very helpful tips for new players have been released.

Exclusives are a big part of what drives console sales, which in turn creates a healthy ecosystem for the user base. Without exclusives a system will really struggle, which is exactly what is happening with the Xbox brand. Players who have invested heavily into the Xbox ecosystem all these years are potentially looking at the end of the brand as they know it.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp ( Mobile Game. Out Late Nov )
Hero-of-Time replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
The end is nigh. It had a pretty great run and making the game available as an offline version is something more publishers need to do. -
The start/finish line set is the most expensive set at £69.99 and Yoshi is the cheapest at £12.99.

Yeah, all the seasonal content rotates now. So stuff like the Monster Hunter and Mega Man events are still available, it's just a question of playing at the right time. I forgot to mention that I had to bite the bullet and create a Capcom ID for this. I've been avoiding doing it for as long as I could but figured Monster Hunter Wilds will most certainly need one and so went ahead with it. At least I'll be able to play Street Fighter VI now.
