  1. Bumping this as the first batch of reviews are out. GiantBomb - 9 IGN - 9.0 GamesRadar - 8 1UP - 83 OXM - 8 Eurogamer - 7 I think the overall opinion is that Alan Wake is a short and flawed but generally entertaining game, one that would have been better received had it come out when it should have. I'm still getting mine fo' sho'.
  2. I like 'Love'. Such a nice word, one that shouldn't be said too often though.
  3. One of the best DVD boxsets in existence.
  4. OMGZ it actually has action. I knew David Slade could possibly not make it suck.
  5. I played the demo, was alright, its no Streets of Rage 2! (and I don't care who ripped of who lol)
  6. Yeah i'm up for that, despite being a Chaos Theory pr0, I haven't had much time with this (only on third mission) so I'll need some practice on normal setting first! I might be playing it tonight around half 10. Add me.
  7. I KNOW! I spent a good five minutes looking for it in the multiplayer menus... it aint in there! As for the game itself (single player) it's... OK, not bad but not great so far. Not a patch on Chaos Theory. It doesn't allow you to be very free or creative, being much more linear and 'context button' heavy. Apparently it doesn't get better; forcing action over stealth. I'll happily do some co-op with whoever though.
  8. Did you watch the extended cut (where the Alien bursts out of an ox rather than a dog)? I'm happy you liked it. Fantastic set design too, the actual creature design wasn't half bad either yet the computer generated bits were pretty terrible. The first 15 or so minutes are amazing.
  9. The connection being some sort of tentacle monster human hybrid baby.
  10. For anyone who's hungry for more Streets of Rage-type antics then Final Fight is up on Arcade today for 800 points, it comes with a game called Magic Sword (never played it).
  11. So... much.... grey. Ugh.
  12. Well fuck me sideways that's alot of product placement.
  13. Now here's a funky tune. I think her new album is out in a few months.
  14. I don't see the point.
  15. 30hrs in and it's starting to drag a bit, I feel like it's outstaying its welcome. I'm sure it'll pick up again soon but I've started playing Revenant Wings on the DS and that's actually more fun!
  16. Resident Evil: Afterlife http://www.worstpreviews.com/headline.php?id=17267&count=0 Another film to jump on the Avatar/3D bandwagon.
  17. 10 out of 10 doesn't mean perfect, it's just the highest honour you can bestow something.

    Dead Space 2

Well apparently one of the reasons for making it more action orientated is: What a load of bollocks.
  19. Except maybe the one from Donkey Kong Country
  20. No no! Sonic 3 owns it, I mean, it had Michael frikkin Jackson. It was much more up tempo and as tapedeck said, Hydrocity is a work of genius. Don't get me wrong I love Knucles soundtrack, it just seems to plod along a bit, like Mushroom Hill and Sandopolis. Although Death Egg is a hilight!
  21. Really? I thought overall Sonic 3 did a better job of the soundtrack, it was 'braver' with its sound. Hydrocity is just abosolutely made of win. Saying that Chemical Plant is probably the best of the lot. EDIT: Saying that I just listened to a few of the supposed Sonic 4 soundtrack and well, damn, what a step back. The boss music is truly awful.

    Dead Space 2

Just from that clip it seems more Resi 5 than Resi 4. Rocket boots??
  23. I really want it to be good! I mean Double Agent wasn't bad, but the last great game was Chaos Theory and that was a while ago.
