I think the demo is out beginning of Feb. Yeah I agree the campaign won't be anything special, infact I doubt it'll be much of an evolution from the 1999 original; more of the same with a new coat of paint. The multiplayer looks 'fun' but nothing that I could seriously get into (like CoD, Halo, Battlefield), on the other hand the 'horde' mode looks great.

Nice one, I thought they looked impossible at first but this gives me hope! I've only got mine on a weeks rental so I will have to lovefilm it in the near future to mop up the rest. This game is absolutely mind blowing, this is what DMC4 should have been.

I mean graphics wise I don't think it looks as nice, the fps (or whatever it's called) isn't as smooth and it looks a little uglier. I'm just going by this one map mind so not fair to say so far.

I've played the demo for a couple of hours now (not in one go) and it's pretty good, like MW2 it's not a huge leap from the first one but i'm still loving it. Some bits annoy me like sniping which is too slow and I can't seem to get one hit kills that aren't headshots, which are near impossible to get on a moving target. Melee combat is sluggish too, maybe they'll smooth some things over for retail. Doesn't have the overall polish of MW but it's a decent alternative. Also Emasher mentioned about teamwork which I agree definately plays a better role here than it does with many other shooters.

But aren't trophies and achievments the just same in multiformat games?

They should put that launch trailer in cinemas, seriously, damn.

That's exactly what I wanted to say earlier but I'm lazy so I thought saying 'do a Mega Man 9' would cover all these points.. But I agree with everything you say, what about graphics wise, flashy or old school? EDIT: Talking about soundtracks, what I absolutely loved was the end credits theme on Sonic 3, fantastic piece! I prefered it over the medlies that you usually hear.

Yeah I rewatched Salvation on dvd and all the flaws I looked past in the cinemas became ever more present at home. Anton Yelchin was alright too I thought, some good action scenes, but the film was just one big homage to the first two, no originality of it's own. And that kid with the 'fro... why?

I'm sure you can pick Serious Sam up on the pc for about a quid. With better controls, and modding capabilities.

Wait I don't mean the one that you go past under it on the rope. It's the one that when you shoot the thing holding the block and it slams down making the spider go on its back. Argh I'm stuck on the fourth dungeon, I've knocked the big spider on its back but I can't find a way of killing it still, anyone else here yet? And I can't find any online walkthroughs!

Really? Ugh I hated the design/look of VIII and X, and limited to no exploration? WHAT IS GOING ON HERE! I still want to play it though.

I've been reading it's a bit of a step back from XII. Looks much more like X, which, wasn't bad I guess.

I'd say so yeah, you've already got it on hard so thats covered. Everything else such as upgrade all weapons, find all heart pieces etc i'm pretty sure can be done on the same save. I'm nearing the third dungeon, just reached a desert type area complete with giant sand worms. For those who are interested in getting it: Zelda-ish elements are: boomerang dungeon layouts (with maps and boss area) new weapon in each dungeon (that you can use to gain access to new areas) lock on targeting (with aforementioned widescreen feature!) overworld (albeit more linear) your trusty steed you gain a new heart piece once a dungeon boss is defeated GoW-ish elements are: fighting system souls from fallen enemies ...which you use to buy and upgrade finishing moves on bosses and enemies I'm sure there are others.

Use the dash all the time, and the uppercut to get them into a juggle. If you've bought the scythe that can be handy.
