I do not like the sound of that at all. The motion control bit anyway. That is the best thing about Skyward Sword! Gah. Damn everyone who couldn't swing the controller properly. Seriously, i think it would be a massive mistake to remove motion control from future Zeldas, i cant imagine playing it any other way. I suppose the problem with Wii U though is the number of options controller wise. If they go for motion control, they cant use the Wi U GamePad. If they do decide to commit 100% to the GamePad though, it better be for a good reason with some great innovative uses of that controller to make up for the loss of motion control. I could live with that. Makes you realise how showing a Zelda at E3 would have been ridiculously pre-mature. Yes, last year they showed a HD titbit, but they couldn't do that twice without people getting annoyed with the lack of concrete details.

This is spot on. I beat every character on Ace last night. I was on fire! SO satisfying. The characters that gave me the most trouble were Luigi and Boo for sure. Opponents who come in to the net and have great defence are hard to beat, but Boo is just insane, he does that and has crazy trick shots and cheating teleport ability! I got him in the end though, mwa-hah-hah!

I just about beat Luma last night, it was very exciting! I think it matters alot who you are using. I mean, i was playing with my Mii with random clothes, but when i put on the Fire Flower costume i unlocked it became noticeably easier. Not easy by a long shot, but it enabled me to have a better chance for sure. I find the best thing i can do is hit strong enough shots to force weak returns from them, followed by charged-up top-spin shots near the net. They still manage to return one or two of them but eventually i overpower them. Have you got any tips?

Man, redshell you must be so good. I can beat anyone on Ace, let alone luigi

Just started playing this today and i'm loving it so far. I immediately turned off the gyro crap and got stuck in. Chance shots aren't as bad as people have been saying in here i have found. In most cases they are a great addition, as it adds that extra level of tactics, knowing what shot counters each one. I have just unlocked the Ace CPU level and havn't experienced too much chance shot spamming by the opponents. Maybe Ace level CPU will be more of a pain for that, but up til now i have found it pretty fair and i've had some immense rallies. It is a shame that most points are won with a chance shot i'll admit, but i have won plenty of points just by outsmarting the CPU with standard shots and drawing them around the court, so i feel the natural tennis feel hasn't been completely sacrificed. All in all, chance shots are less game-breaking than power shots by far. Whether this is true online i don't know. I imagine it would be annoying if people always used them, then again it would make them predictable and easy to outsmart as well. I think there's a level of intelligence to this game that people are missing. Sucks about the coins. I havn't been enticed to enter the shop once yet. Still, i can see alot of time being spent on this just completing all the cups with each character. I havn't gotten bored after 3 hours so far, so i just hope that stays true.

Do you need the game to scan it, or do you just use the Mii Maker?

I hated my last job, but unemployment isn't much better. I've got an interview for a job as a recruitment consultant. Anybody do that? Sounds hardcore the interview - group activites then have to give a personal presentation =/ That's just stage one as well.

I knew 33 was a Disney game! I could picture that lion laughing. I tried googling for it in Mickey games but had an inkling it may have been Donald in my memory. Good times!

I thought the same the first time i watched it. The thing with Saw is that it is a progressive story, so you really have to have seen Saw I and Saw II recently before watching the third, and the same applies with the rest. I found that when the events of the previous films were fresh in my mind, i really enjoyed it a lot more. It is a very clever series overall. Up to you if you bother giving it another chance though.

That second level drove me insane. I figured it out in the end though. You really do have to be inch perfect with your jumping. I kept dying at the same point, about 3/4 of the way along before i realised i had been doing wall jumps all wrong. I was doing it like Mario - holding towards the wall allowing a short pause before hitting jump. Turns out this isn't necessary as Rayman does wall jumps automatically with just a press of the jump button on contact with the wall. This saved milliseconds and ultimately allowed me to complete the level. I havn't done the third level yet. I have heard the game is better on consoles though, so now i'm not sure whether to get the PS3 version, or any version at all even as i'm lazy when it comes to consoles these days.
-
I would go for Sony. I much prefer the PS3 to the 360, probably based solely on the controller. I find it much more pleasurable and satisfying to use. The 360 one feels cheap and plastic and nasty to me. Plus, i am not a massive online player, so paying for Xbox Live was always a put-off to me, even though it is the best. For the time being at least. It is a tough call though. I own all three naturally, but would be just as happy if they brought all exclusives on one super-console with the online structure of the 360 and compatibility with multiple types of controller. Alas, this will never happen. A gaming industry without Nintendo though is unthinkable, and i think the industry and pure gameplay ingenuity would soon stagnate and suffer a slow and painful demise.

Only just finished season 6 and, to quote Deb - HOLY FREAKIN' F**K!!! That was awesome.

How about some rupees? Or a Yoshi egg?

Nice one Red Shell - i can sense that is an immense achievement. I am only like 30% done, haha. Still struggling with intensity 6.0. I always get dropped down to 5.0 after dying It annoys me really, as a few times now i have been doing perfectly and then just get owned by one new enemy i havn't faced before on land that charges at me or something. There are some enemies i still just dont know how to deal with. Like the kicking treasure-chest legs. Anything that charges after me actually! I can handle dodging projectiles pretty well. Still hate Powers too and their useless set-up.

Not feeling motivated lately to play this. There's just TOO MUCH to take in! I daren't venture online either, something tells me it will be evil and soul destroying to even try.

I want to see that job application! Three good things have happened in my life recently. 1: Quit my job! Seriously hated it, and was spending most days just sitting on the computer watching the clock. Honestly the most un-organised and un-professional people i have ever worked with, and i am glad to see the back of it. 2: Passed my driving test! Having failed the first time 6 weeks ago, i nailed it on my second attempt on friday last week. I am so relieved! Got 4 minors which isn't so bad i thought. Looking at car insurance soon takes away the joy of passing though! 3: Going on a cruise to Turkey, Egypt and Israel! This one has snuck up on me. It is a gift of sorts from my mom, she is taking me and my girlfriend away as a treat. Not the first places i would have chosen to be honest, but hey, some sunshine, free drinks and food on board the ship and daily excursions all paid for can't be a bad thing. I might even see Jesus! (though i am not the least bit religious).

How do you deal with the jelly things in the air sections? They always get me. Are you not supposed to shoot them and just dodge? They don't seem to die. I am getting better at the land parts. Still finding it hard when i have to watch my footing. It is far too easy to fall off platforms etc when dodging attacks, it is pretty annoying. Also find it hard when enemies are all around me not just accross the room. I am getting better at timing the dodges but that is pretty impossible when attacks are coming from all directions. I still find the powers useless and i can never use them, apart from health recovery as i can do that when i have a breather. I usually try with intensity on 6 which i can do most of the time, but sometimes i get knocked down to 5 when i die. I did chapter 9 last night which was pretty cool. I suppose the most important thing is that i am enjoying it, which i still am!

I guess for the purpose of stopping clubbers getting too hammered and causing fights and accidents etc, it is a good thing. Hopefully they wont drink so much before hitting the town, or even not go out as much period because of the cost.

Air sections remind me of Space Harrier too.

Yeah i think this wall must have some metal or something inside too. I can't really move the router either - wish i could. I have thought about the second router thing, though i think that will be quite complicated to set up. I'm not bad with computers, but i always seem to mess up things regarding internet connections and networks and what-have-you. They'd kill me at home if i messed it up. That sounds reasonable. Never heard of a home plug before, but i may give the repeater thing a try.

That's awesome. Facebook asked me to "Share Link", so i did.

Sounds okay to be honest. Like others have said, it is something you can try for the money and experience whilst you keep looking. Just make sure you keep looking! It is easy to get lazy when you are in a job. I know i very rarely apply for things now, but i really should as i hate the job i'm in at the moment. The calls should be okay too. They are not outgoing cold calls so that should be fine. One of the reaons why i hate my job - i'm never ever getting a job that requires cold calling ever again. Wasn't even in the job description. Anyway, i digress. Go for it Ine!

Says it is out of stock now when i add it to the basket. Also delivery charge on top

Loving this game!!! The dialogue has made me laugh out loud a few times. I can't remember them all, but the royal buns gag had me chuckling for some time. Land sections were fine for me at first. The control is really intuitive and i found it quite easy to pick up. I also edited the controls a little to speed up the reticule movement. Speeding up the stopping time of the camera also really helps. I hated how it kept drifting when i span it, so having it automatically stop faster is much easier to work with - saves me having to tap the screen to stop it spinning manually. I'm having trouble now though. On stage 4 i think, and i died for the first time. There were poison puddles everywhere on the ground and they hurt me alot as i found it hard to concentrate on where i was running/dodging too. Focusing on firing, dodging attacks, the camera and avoiding danger on the ground was just a bit too much! I was playing on the bus though to be fair, and on 5.0 difficulty which was a bit adventurous this early i think! :p I find it does hurt my hand after about 10 minutes though too. The way i cradle the 3DS has it resting on my little finger, so that starts to hurt having to hold the weight of the console up. I tried the stand while sitting. I crossed my legs and rested it on there. It wasn't much help to be honest - screen was too far away from my eyes so was hard to keep the sweet 3D spot. Using the stand on a table is good, but the table has to be the right height else you have to cock your head accordingly which is annoying and unnatural. Using an adjustable office chair would be ideal i reckon to get the right height. Shame the stand can't adjusted to different angles. I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed by all of the weapons too. I'd be quite happy to find a good one and stick with it, but i guess experimentation is the way forward here. Havn't really got my head around the stats or fusing weapons together or anything like that yet. Oh and powers. I don't like how they are set up on the touch screen. I arranged it so i had 4 different ones available, but you can only ever see and select two of them. As if i have time to scroll through them in the heat of a fight! I think you can select with the d-pad too, but i can;t ee that being much help either. I don't understand why they didn't put a longer line along the bottom of the screen for the powers for easy selection. I suppose they needed to keep them out of the way of being selected by accident, but meh. Fun game though, i'm really enjoying it. Just feel bad for my poor little finger

Who is Joseph Kony? If you don't know, find out in here.
Jav_NE replied to Hamishmash's topic in General Chit Chat
I feel sorry for the guy! I mean, he has one of the most successful viral marketing videos ever and then goes and wanks it all up. Seriously though, i hope this doesn't effect the whole Kony thing too much.
