No. Is that even a well-known film? (I've heard of it, but I wasn't aware it was one of THOSE films...)

I thought the same thing actually...it wouldn't be above Jordan to have an ITV2 program titled this.

Planned to start my EPICLY HUGE workload to be done for Monday today, but spent so long on the research and choosing a place to draw I decided against it (it was getting dark). Had my first official driving lesson! That was good...only done a bit of practice off road before, so it was weird/nerve-racking/good to finally have a go on the roads. Guy said I had good balance (of the clutch and acceleration) for a new driver.

Wolverine & The X-Men actullay impressed me with it's first season. When's that back on, does anyone know? But yeah, DC will top the 90's animated universe of Batman/TNBA/Superman/Justice League/JLU/Batman Beyond.

Bram Stoker's Dracula (Francis Ford Coppola) Never seen any films by him, and assumed that they'd all be amazing since the Godfather is so screamed over. I kinda hated it all. For the first 20 or so minutes I was like "WTF is this. I hate this.". Then it became visually interesting in a kinda endearingly lack-of-good-effects way. I hated Keanu Reeves still, he was awful the entire film. I think there were good performances in it, but I couldn't really tell. I know it was intentionally melodramatic and OTT, but it felt really shoddily directed, on what must have been a shoestring budget, the fact you knew every scene was a soundstage (complete with "Sunset" backdrop!) really annoyed. There was some really lovely camera work, but it felt so discordant with the other camera work it just didn't work. The pacing was terrible as well. I liked the fact they amped up the sexual aspects, making it very lustful and shit. But...I still don't understand why this is so well-loved. Gary Oldman was good, yeah, but I didn't get how Dracula looked different in EVERY scene. He had 15 different transformations that all looked vaguely the same or completely different? Luminous green fog a la Anastacia, and then a million rats? (that possibly highlights possible influences on future films?). And what's the Rape-wolf's bag? Was that Dracula? Or just a wolf? It was in a zoo...I'm in such a tizz. 4/10

I'd rather they just made a really good series of animated X-Men movies. Or they somehow resurrect the X-Men movie franchise. I'd prefer they just brought Cyclops back to life so that the movies could be whole again. [/atomic kitten]

I never understood why a Magneto origin needed to be made, as you said, it was done perfectly and succinctly (and quite harrowingly) at the start of X-Men. It's not like he did much other than meet Charles Xavier in between being a child and becoming Magneto.

Oh Jesus. Lizard is recipe for disaster. To make him a good villain, he'll have to be the classic "talking" version, as opposed to the various beastial incarnations. And that's just going to look fucking stupid.

I feel so un Hallowe'eny, since the big party is a week after actual Hallowe'en, and I don't have my costume yet (people are having drinks on saturday night, but I can't be arsed going clubbing after). I'll just incorporate my blonde wig into some costume.

I'll cry if they change all of the original designs. I love Mickey's model though. A stunning version.

*at least* she still looks human. A lot of people who have face reconstruction/transplants just look inhuman.

On the (late) topic of Scrubs, I saw one yesterday while I was having dinner, and I remembered I use to watch it when it was part of one night on C4 where they had loads of good stuff on. I don't think I understand why it's so highly rated. It's occasionaly mildly amusing, but never particularly laugh out loud or clever. I like it enough, but I would easily skip over it if it came on TV...it's not like Arrested Development quality or anything... *confused/intrigued*

It's good. Love In The Time Of Science is better, but you deal when songs like Gun are on M&A. I love how Jungle Drum was a hit in other parts of Europe too. I think it was no.1 in Germany.

Lol fine. Yeah, you can tell it was Nelly Furtado that Eliza had the most fun with. Missed opportunity for a Peaches reference.

I saw the end of a stray Smallville ep (i'll watch it if it's on, watched the first 3 series way back when), and I don't get how they can STILL be harking on about shit. Unless it was a rerun from just after I stopped watching? Various scenes of Clark walking into Lex's office, Lex drops some hint about maybe knowing he has powers, then clark saves him during some shit deal gone wrong or something. BUT Impulse (??!) has a jewelry box made of kryptonite, uses it, then decides against it, and runs off. Martha is working with Lana at the Talon, while people are still jizzing over "the caves". Maybe it's jkust out of context, but it didn't inspire me to watch it again.

I've had The Garden's End by her for ages, I recall it sounding good. I'd never listened to Jimmy Eat World in my life, as I hated their name and assumed I wouldn't like them. I listened to half of clarity, and I'm not blown away, mainly cause I hate nondescript singing voices that are dime a dozen. The lyrics weren't prominent for me to judge them (I'm sure they're good).

We Are Scientists has one of "those" vocalists, who all seem to have the same american accent singing voice that is neither interesting or particularly good. The Smiths was better.

Luv-ely Luv-ely Luv-ely Ber-teee! There're some great songs on Aerial. The whole second disc is beautiful, and I consider it one long song, tbh. The first disc is more "seperate". A Coral Room is great.
