I got 14 MBPS last night just from placing my phone at the window. Nice one!

So as I was explaining in a recent post, I was putting up with a bad 4G connection in my flat. I then got a router on Amazon. A white Huawei one, for a little over 50 quid. The more expensive ones are possibly better, as they come with two rods. However, it didn't really make any difference from what I could see. In fact, to even get a decent signal, I have to put it on the ledge in my living room. I had been doing this with my phone anyway. The highest I got was about 13 MBPS, but just the once. Normally it's only able to gain 3 to 9, depending on where it's positioned. No other spot in my flat gave me a good enough result. I feel like I wasted my cash, to be honest. But oh well. Experiments are still interesting...

Because of how slow my connection is in my flat with either 4G or even broadband, I decided to look into getting a 4G router. A low cost Huawei one ought to be fine. It was ordered yesterday and is out for delivery today. When I perform a speed test, my broadband speed never goes above 1 MBPS. So you can imagine how bad that is. But with my mobile data, while I don't get any data throttling, the flat I live in is just situated in a location that's not ideal for a stable connection. What's really the issue is the signal. So while it's marginally faster than putting up with TalkTalk's ultra lame broadband service, it's still awful. I have to place my phone up at the window to make the signal move up to 3 MBPS, which means I cannot connect my cable to charge the battery, as it has to be standing upright. Meh.

Is this guy a copy of Bolo Yeung?

This game has yet to be formally announced by Konami, but it is about a student in Germany called Anita. There was additional leaks about it during 2022, thanks to Dusk Golem posting updates. Anita's female friend at school commits suicide, so you must look into why she took her own life. I think the game will be played from a first person perspective, with a mobile phone like interface involved for spooky communication. https://www.eurogamer.net/silent-hill-the-short-message-plot-leaks-from-australian-classification-board

Well, we're all waiting on news about the proper games they announced over 11 months ago. That of course being the remake of 2, the spin off set in Japan, and whatever the heck that "Townfall" one is supposed to be about. Yet there hasn't been any updates on most of these games since Konami announced them during their unique showcase, which was back in October of last year. All I have to go on is just speculation. I feel like this is one of the absolute worst gaming franchises for people online constantly speculating, being told zilch, and having to fish around for any shred of new info from leakers like Dusk Golem, because Konami is shy about providing any news. Or the devs. But I feel as if the hype will be deflated in due course anyway. I don't mean that they ought to be doing this updating every few months. But Jesus. We wait years for to finally receive positive news, being so very fed up of the prior nonsense. Right? We finally get something to make us feel excited about, and then it's God knows how long a waiting period before anything new crops up on the Internet. Recent rumours suggest the remake is due to be released on the 21st of March. Also, you may get to play through a Pyramid Head origins story, which some people are feeling iffy about, because Pyramid Head was seemingly just a manifestation of the guilt James Sunderland had for Mary. So they are already being quick to judge Bloober Team, and acting like it's all gonna be a dumb idea. You know? People should at least judge it when it's finally available to play. Whenever the hell that will be. But even so, some people are not very grateful when it comes to fine tuning a product. They need to understand that a polished game is better than painting a brown turd gold...

I know this guy on a site called Biohaze who loves RE6. It was his first ever RE game. So that's probably why he loves it. But while I don't think 6 is especially amazing, some aspects to it like the zombies and Neo-Umbrella storyline makes you know it's a RE game. Although if you play RE7 or 8, they just feel like indie games giving a tighter budget. Nothing about them says RE to myself, until Chris shows up. I do tire of seeing remakes, however. Konami is basically planning more SH remakes after Silent Hill 2 and possibly new installments. Whether Bloober Team is handling those too is not yet known.

I think RE5 is just as good as RE4, quite frankly. I know this, because it has the same exact gameplay and so on, only this time with a full co-operative mode. Yet in Crazy Land, RE4 always tops all. La la la, la la. You know? I mean, RE4 is a great game. But it's a terrible RE game in general, because it has too much action and a deliberate emphasis on being a murderer of infected personnel. The story is hardly relevant to past RE canon either. You could easily avoid playing the previous numbered entries and it would hardly feel like anything important was missed out on. They mention Raccoon City and of course the reasons for shutting down Umbrella. But I feel like it's just a cheap, subtle way to link it to the previous entries. Remove that stuff altogether, and then it's not really connected to RE at all. It's more like an entirely new game that should have been called, "U.S. Secret Service Agent: Run from Da Spanish Villagers." LMAO. Even so, the amount of folk who both love and defend that game's legacy online is kind of both striking and downright nippy, at least in my eyes. For I mean, really. I'll bet they never even played RE1, 2, or any of the games with fixed camera angles from the classic era of survival horror, because third person shooters are all the rage. But RE4 is not a true horror game. I know I must have told people that hundreds of times online over the years to no avail, but I digress. It's hardly a horror game. Again, all the links to a parasite making people hostile and bursting out of their torso and so on, is to make you think it's a horror game. There are certainly a few tough cookies like the chainsaw sub-bosses and flying insects that could intimidate inexperienced players, but I think having a merchant selling you a million guns at his stalls is just such a ludicrous concept, and RE4 helped to kill the series. And I stick by my opinion...

Uh... Just look at the comments on this dude's video. LOL. For I mean, I was already kind of expecting people to moan about this 'game' and go around saying, "This is nae teh Silent Hill comeback ah wiz wanting fae Konami. The franchise should stay dead 4 ever + ever. I hate U, #FucKonami. Boo-hoo!!!!!111" Well, should it stay dead?
-
So I died twice in Alan Wake II because this dead dude suddenly got up and seemed mad. I didn't run for the exit in time to pick up the gun on the floor. But it's actually easy. Gimme some clue the next time. Meh.

Even if it doesn't return, the summer always has other events that are practically the same as E3 anyway. As does the fall, etc. So what are we really gonna be missing out on here? Also, companies often run their own showcases from time to time. And I like it when they get announced randomly. Kind of like giving someone an unexpected surprise when they need a little pick me up.

So when it became apparent that Capcom couldn't be arsed bringing back Dino Crisis - somebody developed this. Well, it's like if zombies did not invade Raccoon City, but dinosaurs did instead, the result would be this gem of a low budget game...

If anybody gives you a hard time online, it's best to ignore them, because they probably have thin skin and it probably wasn't your fault they got offended. Most of the people who act like that are just attention-seeking losers with an inferiority complex, who want to be right 24/7 and have no friends offline to brag of. I've been dealing with a radge pot from Australia who is a lot like this, so I know the feeling.

I hope Barbarian gets a physical release one day. I'm a collector, so this is essential to me. But more and more, I can see everything being sold as a download in the future.

Admittedly, there was a few bumps on the road over the last several years, with RE8 especially being in Bizarre Land. Like, come on. Lady D was just a fad. The DLC for RE4 is surprisingly good, in my opinion. Although, yes. RE4 has always been more of a third person action adventure game, as opposed to being a traditional survival horror game. After all, you buy your equipment rather than finding it most of the time. Then of course, the enemies drop bullets as if it were candy in a vending machine. Nonetheless, the latest animated movie was enjoyable, with Chris being berated by the main villain for slacking off. And while Julia Voth will always be the best Jill Valentine, I must say, hell. At least she's finally back.

Isn't Netflix mostly full of B level trash? To be honest, Prime Video is way better. I think Netflix is good, but it depends what they have available to watch.

I may check out Evil West.

I'd take that over Umbrella Corps. -

A handful of RE fans may disagree, but I don't really care for 'the Winters saga' in the recent RE games. These games don't even feel like RE games anyway. And I thought Capcom was just trying to be like Konami, especially with what they had going on in RE8. But since these games are still quite popular, I don't know if you can say they are a low point of the series. Some people even think RE7 revived the series, after all of the action heavy entries since RE4 onwards that arguably betrayed the survival horror roots. But if you're going off of your own feelings, then yeah. RE7 and 8 aren't that hot, in my opinion. So what is the lowest point for the RE franchise, then? That's likely RE6. -
I cannot wait.

There's horror games I'll definitely love to buy, but that's way into the future. I hardly receive any replies on here anymore. So I wanted to keep this short and sweet.

Anybody seen Barbarian yet?

My little sis started watching it on Netflix. She enjoys it a lot, and recognised a lot of the songs they use throughout the episodes.

The song "Running up That Hill" by Kate Bush is at number one this week, because this 1985 hit was recently used in Stranger Things. What's old is now new again. LOL!
