  1. Thanks. I had been going to post a thread, but I made sure to look first to see if one was already submitted on the forum. Consider Silent Hill: Townfall axed, and a minor footnote in gaming history at this point. When devs go silent for way too long with no update in sight, that's usually not a good sign that things are running as they ought to be. I'm sure loads of Silent Hill fans are beside themselves on GameFAQs right about now, saying "I told you so" and the like.
  2. This should tide you over until the remake of Silent Hill 2 comes out.
  3. ☺️ Ziggy approves.
  4. It looks as if Bloober Team has added more to the game, while keeping it faithful to the source material. I like how you can explore the town. 🫣 So far, everything seems okay, if a little stiff in terms of Maria not moving around much in the cell. The original game does that scene in a more erotic way. Even so, the pro Kojima fans aren't going to be forgetting about 2015 at any point soon. I blooming hate typos. 😑
  5. They're mocking it by making a really good game that goes on to sell millions. What a way to mock it! The game has loads of issues. It was rushed, and Nemesis mutated way too fast. The way Brad Vickers dies is lousy too, among other things. He was supposed to die at the RPD, and NOT in Bar Jack. Also, they left out the second ending with Barry saving Jill. Meh. RE2 had a lot of flaws as well, but not one person dares to say otherwise.
  6. John Cena retiring next April truly is the end of an era. I can still remember his first match in the summer of 2002. The one where he narrowly lost to Kurt Angle.
  7. Has anyone seen The Watchers yet and care to comment?
  8. I watched both of the Don't Breathe movies yesterday. The sequel has the blind army guy as the protagonist against a gang, so it did not really come across as a horror movie like part 1 was.
  9. I thought Summer Game Fest sucked sweaty balls. It just felt like a huge waste of time to tune into it tonight.
  10. Anyone know what day Capcom will be there? You know how much we love Ca$hcom and their glorious RE remakes, etc.
  11. Until Summer Game Fest comes around, I'm gonna rest up from survival horror rants and forums in general. I just need a break. I was on the ball tonight, though. Konami even revealed the SH2 remake release date is 8 October. So, nice one.
  12. So I watched the Silent Hill showcase earlier on, alongside Michael Does Life. Konami didn't even show off that Japanese based game, or Townfall. What they did show was fine. The nurses seem very nasty, just like they are in Homecoming. But when James, Maria and Laura are in the hospital, it's way brighter in this remake as the light comes in the windows. It's not a big deal, I guess, but the original game's hospital section was really creepy because it was dark, and I still think this 2024 version is just kind of inferior. A lot of new horror games also lack music as well. What gives?
  13. Yeah. The event wasn't worth a toss. But revealing the release date of SH2 was a great confirmation.
  14. I cannot say news about any more remakes interests me in the slightest. I'd rather have some news about RE9 or whatever.
  15. Do remember to tune in.
  16. Thanks for letting us know about the Silent Hill showcase. Apparently, Capcom is not remaking RE1. It could be 0 the prequel, as well as CV. We should know soon enough about Capcom's plans. They occasionally do a RE stream for any important updates on the series.
  17. Is there any major gaming event planned for June?
  18. I started watching Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me.
  19. What I meant was, he's too overpowered. He even does suplexes, kicks and bulldogs. But they all are too OP now, to be honest. But Chris is still the top dog.
  20. This is a matter of opinion, but I think the franchise lost the scare factors it became renowned for once they made Leon and all that into the main protagonists. The games and movies Leon is seen in are always heavy on explosions and stuff. Now, okay. He is a cool character, but he is also incredibly macho. While games like RE7 and 8 are corny to me, at least the main character is just a 'normal' guy, until the mould stuff changes him. But you know what I mean, I guess. Because games with new blood are the best survival horror storylines, in a Silent Hill kind of way. It's always interesting when a civilian just ends up thrown in at the deepest end of the pool right away, having to unravel the mystery as to how he or she got there. It's actually really compelling. By bringing back Chris and these other veterans, though, the games have too much violence. And so as a result, they feel like Michael Bay productions in gaming form. The storylines are also evidently silly, which is because Capcom is probably struggling to conjure up new plot aspects that haven't already been attempted. Because can we be honest here? Their creative team sucks. If people say the franchise has always been like that (as in cheesy), I half disagree. Because there's a campy vibe, and then there's the ludicrous stuff like what RE8 is known for. The memes culture totally loves that game, but I think it's just daft. So I hope we won't be seeing flying saucers and little green men in the franchise next. You just never know what lame trash Capcom is gonna chuck in for to make a quick dollar.
