  1. Best thing about the Switch version? No hackers/dupers who use (cloud) save backups to abuse the loot system
  2. Played one hour of Guacamelee 2. Well, it's Guacamelee alright Quirky humour, perfect platforming, cool combat, metroidvania style exploration. So far a very fun game
  3. Ohhh, this looks amazing. My boy Sanji is in. I have to get it now
  4. They need to release the demo for everyone. I NEED it.
  5. This is going to crash and burn. Might be the beginning of the end for Housemarque...
  6. Love the music.
  7. Also bought this just now to take advantage of the 20% PS+ discount:
  8. Flight from Dortmund to Sofia in October for 15€. From Sofia I will either hitchhike to Istanbul or take a bus. Still need to figure out a return trip. I'm interested in staying a couple of days longer in Istanbul and take a direct flight back home or travel to some other town if I can find a cheap flight.
  9. I didn't even try. Too busy playing Smash Bros. with my mates.
  10. What about my fucking German? And: I'll have you know that I was drinking last night, too.
  11. Currently at my mom's and I don't have my PS4 with me so I started playing The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel on the Vita again. 2 1/2 hours in, here are my thoughts: looks like a deep and complex JRPG, hope I can stick with this and finally fully get out of my gaming slump apparently there are things like building friendships, similar to social links in Persona; what I like better with Trails of Cold Steel: You can see where your friends are on the map and actually teleport directly to them, or to places close to them; makes it much less tedious very slow start with many tutorial screens; and there are more to come it seems the game suffers a little on the Vita; framerate is not smooth at times and before each fight there is a little bit of loading involved; so far it hasn't annoyed me that much but that's because there haven't been a lot of fights; we'll see how it'll affect my future progress Overall: good first impressions. The slow start is usual for a JRPG and the technical issues are negligible as of yet. The rest seems right up my alley.
  12. If you don't find the tweet funny, do you really have to be offended or outraged? I understand that humour is always subjective but if someone tells a joke I don't think is funny and deals with something I had troubles with in the past or even on a grander scheme I simply don't laugh and move on. I'll say it again: These days you have to be careful what you say and it sucks. Even saying that you had a steak for lunch can get you death threats in the mail. I will never agree with all the outrage over every little thing in these times.
  13. Seriously? Because of this? I'm glad that my friends and I aren't public figures because we make jokes like that on a daily basis. We'd be crucified if people heard what we make fun of Yeah, it's really gotten out of hand these days. No matter where you are and what you do you have to be careful with what you say. Yes, there are certain boundaries you shouldn't cross, but in this instance it was a harmless tweet - a funny one at that. Good attitude This is why I still follow JonTron, even though there has been some controversy about certain statements he's made. I like his videos and his political view doesn't change the fact that he makes me laugh.
  14. Really hope they will change it. Let's see how Activision will handle the situation.
  15. I'd like to hear that joke.
  16. Soooo, is this good? Was this expected? Is this less than expected?
  17. @Hero-of-Time already planning his trophy hunt for this.
  18. Jesus Christ...you're a madman. I only managed to reach one boss yesterday then I headed out to do some work. Started with the Emerald Passage. Level design is spot-on. I didn't mind the time limit set upon you once you hit the switch as much this time around. Hopefully it stays that way. Audio-visually Wario Land 4 is quite impressive for a GBA game. Lots of details and easy on the eyes. Love it.
  19. Wario Land 4 is the fourth installment in the series starring Mario's original arch-nemesis Wario on his quest for further riches and Princess Shokora's - who was cursed by the Golden Diva - rescue. Originally released in PAL regions back in 2001 it has been received very well, currently sitting at an 88 over at metacritic. Spectacular graphics, great level design and a sizeable amount of replayability (taken from the IGN review; plagiarism at its best; copyrighted by drahkon - Michael Scott) make this a must have for any GameBoy Advance fan. It's the perfect starting point to what is hopefully a long lasting series of Game Club threads. A relatively short and very charming platformer that can be played inbetween larger games or, as @Hero-of-Time will probably do, be finished in a day. For this I suggest a playtime of two weeks or rather until the end of August. Depending on how quick we are, a new vote could also be started earlier. Without further ado, get your gaming on! I made pasta with Bolognese sauce, by the way. Delicious.
  20. Because I won't have time later today I will have to close the voting now. Here are the results: kuru kuru kururin - 1 vote Mario Tennis: Power Tour - 2 votes Wario Land 4 - 4 votes And with that, we have a winner. Wario Land 4 it is. Going to cook launch now and after that I'll create a thread
  21. But then you'd have the gaming community going apeshit about how games get delayed constantly or announced to early. I think devs can't win these days, so covering their asses with a notice like @Happenstance mentioned is their best bet. Personally I'd rather wait longer for games but what can ya do.
  22. Sooo...this game. I haven't actually started it since I bought it three years ago. I also haven't watch a single movie, even though I own the Alien Anthology Blu Rays. Should I do something about that?
  23. Hm, maybe they added the note with a recent patch, who knows. Made some progress. Managed to beat all three minibosses of the second area. Also had a go at the second large boss. Needless to say he wrecked me. Keep them posts about Death's Gambit coming @Ganepark32. Sounds like a game I'd enjoy. Too many indie games coming out these days...Dead Cells, Death's Gambit, Guacamelee 2...
  24. Well there are areas that give you a warning that "Endless Hordes" appear But yeah, if you don't like procedurally generated "levels" then this is not for you.
  25. Just fought and beat the first real boss in Sundered. Holy shit what a great fight. I was immediately hit by a fucking barrage of attacks because I'm stupid, causing me to use both of my available Health Elixiers. I had to rely on no health regeneration for the remainder of the fight. Thankfully I managed to stay alive slowly chipping away at its health. There are several things about this fight that makes it fucking amazing. First of all: The boss is HUGE. Once you reach him the screen zooms way the fuck out. It really makes you feel like you're fighting something superior to you in every way. Secondly: you have to use every tool at your disposal. Jumping, evading, shooting, attacking. Mindlessly pressing buttons doesn't work, you have to be observant and react according to what is thrown at you. And lastly: Once the boss reaches critical health he goes nuts. It felt like he was going into panic mode. He was mindlessly pressing buttons But it didn't work I have to say: One of the coolest and most fun fights I've ever experienced in a video game If you want to see the last 50 seconds of my fight, take a look. SPOILERS obviously.
