Tomorrow afternoon/night will be the first afternoon/night without any obligations/responsibilities/social interactions I've had in two weeks. Perfect timing for Spiderman to be released
-
I think I'll just stop commenting on this.

But isn't the Direct pre-recoreded and only in need of streaming/an upload? I'm not trying to be a dick, I simply do not understand why exactly the Direct has to be delayed.
-
To be fair, I don't really understand the correlation. Still, people are morons.

Gargoyle's Quest gets my vote. I freaking loved it as a kid and this would be a great opportunity to play it again. I still remember the music from the first level

Made some progress with Guacamelee 2 and it may end up on my list of fuck-off-with-that-shit-games. Example: enter a room; it's a "platforming puzzle" (which is usually handled very well; you observe the room, make a plan and can complete it on your first attempt) bomb enemies spawn (they explode after a short time and you have to restart that room; no matter where you are...) you have to follow a trail of spawning bomb enemies; kill one --> two more spawn --> get to them very quickly --> kill them --> more spawn --> ... HERE'S THE FUCKING DEAL BREAKER: You don't know where they spawn at first and in order to get to them you must've perfectly executed your moves while killing the previous enemies; oh, you didn't? tough luck...can't reach the new ones and you fall down to your death; restart the room There's almost no chance for you to finish these rooms first try as you have to be 100% perfect from the get go. Memorizing the patterns is key and this is not difficult. It's just a matter of trial and error. Stupid gameplay mechanic. Made me turn off the game just now. This is why I love Celeste. Every piece of the "platforming puzzles" are available to take in. Plan your moves, execute them and boom, there you go: Success (yeah, executing the moves is fucking difficult in this game but hey, I take that over memorizing shit). Rant over.

Halp! Played one match in the beta just now, never really played a Battlefield game. Have been a CoD gamer for the past few years. However, it looks like I'll switch to Battlefield this year because I enjoy what I've seen so far. How does Conquest work? I didn't really understand when the enemy's reinforcement number goes down. Does Battlefield V use hitscan or projectile weapons? I was a little overwhelmed with everything and didn't pay a lot of attention to the weapons. Do you only show up on the map when you're shooting/tagged?

This is why I will finish the main game, trade-it in and read up on the DLC's story if I'm interested.

Oh good, ready to beat the final boss already...

If I need to wind down I always need music that reflects my current situation. Be it lyrically, musically or both. With that in mind I decided to create a mixtape/playlist on Spotify. I figured, "hey, lots of people have access to Spotify, why not share it?". So here goes. With the following I decided to bring a little bit of a theme into the mix to make it a little more uplifting in the end (at least to me). Lyrically those songs represent a lot of my thoughts and thought processes during the past few days. I like that it turned out to be a short "album". I prefer those to playlists with a large amount of songs. Anyway, here it is: No idea if this thread gains traction, but would love to listen to your mixtapes and discover more music

Two days late (wanted to post in here on the 1st of September), sorry. The first game we played only managed to get the dedicated thread to page 2. However, I did enjoy reading about progress and impressions and to be honest I'd like to continue with the N-Europe Video Game Club and give it a couple of more rounds. As per the rules I get to choose the next participant who will decide which game we play on which system. I won't reward @Hero-of-Time's insane speed when it comes to completing video games so NO, YOU ARE NOT THE NEXT I will, however, give @Ike the next choice as he played Wario Land 4 on a GBA Micro. Always a plus. So, go ahead. Give us a system and a choice between three games.

Wow, I completed the game last Saturday and totally forgot to post in here. Thanks to @Jonnas for reminding me in the Gaming Diary Thread Really enjoyed it. Wario has this weird kind of charm that never fails to amuse me. It's also a very impressive game from a technical standpoint. Graphics are amazing for a GBA game. Level design is spot on and this time around the time limits didn't annoy me. Maybe it's because I don't get stressed out too much with video games anymore. When I was a kid this was the complete opposite. I hated time limits For some reason Cractus gave me a few problems. I died three times against him. No idea why Anyways, lovely game. Glad I got to play it again

Bought Yoku's Island Express and Super Cloudbuilt because I haven't finished neither Guacamelee 2 nor Celeste and I need more games... Ehem. Anyways, Super Cloudbuilt is absolutely insane. Just watch the trailer: I've seen a speed run of Cloudbuilt (apparently it's different to the Super version) at SDGQ this year. Looked amazing. Today I was browsing a sale on the PSN store and I've seen the PS4 version. I was a little worried that without mouse and keyboard the controls would be a little wonky but they work incredibly well. Very impressive. Played a couple of levels and it's such a joy to play. Fast paced (if you want it to be), purely skill-based platforming action with a little shooting involved. There are also challenges which make you approach levels differently, e.g. you can't use your weapon and in turn can't open certain doors so you have to find a different way. Maximizing the efficiency of your moveset is key. Also put some minutes into Yoku's Island Express. What a lovely game. Yoku is freaking adorable. The combination of metroidvania and pinball is genius. Can't wait to put more time into it. Well...after several games that left me dissatisfied I'm now in a dilemma: I have bought too many games recently that I enjoy Damn sales... Think I'll finish Guacamelee 2 first, as I've made the most progress with it.

Was waiting for it to be on sale again for 10€ on the PSN store and today I found out that it is. Also on sale for 7€. Looks cool.

Kissed a friend last night, told her I had feelings for her, she said: "I don't believe you." Well, in the end she didn't really comment on my feelings (she was drunk) so we just went to sleep. I didn't want to talk about it this morning and I don't think I ever want to talk about it again. Life's too short.

What song(s) are you really into at the moment?!

Muse has gotten a lot of shit from their fanbase for their last three songs. I don't understand it. Then again, music is entirely subjective so... I enjoy all of their newest songs and their most recent one is incredible, too. New album, Simulation Theory, is out on November 9th. Can't wait. -
It was the same for me when Aachen, the town I'm currently living in, became a multiplayer map in CoD: WWII and the location for a mission in its campaign. It was kinda cool to walk through streets and alleys ingame that still exist in the real world, albeit rebuilt obviously.

Just watched it. Pretty good. Obvious low-budget production with an intriguing plot and great cinematography. The story is right up my alley, as you assumed. Apparently the directors made a movie (Resolution) in 2012 which ties into The Endless. Will give that one a watch soon. By the way: Great avatar Edit: Anybody got some more of those mind-fuck movies? I could watch 'em all day. Need more.

Because of an unforeseen amount of social interactions, workload and other stuff I managed to not play this at all in the past few days. Depending on how quick I am with work today I might be able to put in some time later.
-
Will most likely play Destiny 2 again with my mate. Thoroughly enjoyed playing it when it was released and with my best mate co-op games are always a blast. Maybe I will get the expansions, too, eventually.
-
Well...I own all of the big games from that list.
-
Anyone played Sunless Sea and could give me some impressions? It's out on the PSN store and I'm tempted.

Nothing But Thieves released a new song today. What a banger. -
If I used the Labo controls, the moment I get fucked by items I'd tear the cardboard to pieces, burn everything and throw the ashes on my friends. 10/10 will buy and I don't even have a Switch.
