  1. I completely forgot this game is out next week. I just bought The Outer Worlds and there's no way I'll finish it in time. I'll buy Death Stranding anyway, won't I? Just gotta keep telling me this:
  2. Will I watch it? Have been avoiding spoilers except for two trailers and about 5 minutes of gameplay. Then again, Kojima's launch trailers are always masterfully crafted and very enjoyable.
  3. 90 minutes in. It's great to get completely absorbed in a game like this again. Made almost no progress because I've been wandering around Edgewater and surroundings stealing shit left and right Combat is quite tough. Difficulty is set to hard and I didn't put any points into combat skills. Guess I'll have to sneak my way around for now.
  4. Will buy this in a couple of hours. Sadly missed a deal so I'll have to pay 55€ instead of 50€ but hey, my birthday's coming up in a month so...why not Can't wait to give it a go. Edit: HA, found it for 48€.
  5. Hardcore all the way. It's the only mode where literally every weapon is 100% viable (except the knife). Even though the time to kill is relatively low in core there are still some weapons that are simply much better than others.
  6. These days you get criticised alot for decisions like this...and in recent weeks I've been literally insulted at times because I bought things from companies that aren't particularly great at sustainability and politics. I get it, I understand the problem and I actually am mindful of a lot of issues when I do shit, but please let us have a conversation about it in a reasonable volume or simply fuck off. Anway, in hindsight: I didn't have to post what I posted above. I guess it was just a defense mechanism or a way for me to vent...it annoys me to no end, to be honest. I do. A lot. The campaign has been amazing so far and multiplayer is a blast. There are some balance issues but hey, shit happens
  7. "What's wrong with you?" Yeah, everyone's question. Conan is such a funny guy. Really enjoy watching his content.
  8. I'm always amazed at how much insight into companies/businesses you lot have. This is not meant as a slight. From what I've read about the PS5 and considering the news about some heavy hitters on PS4 being delayed closer to the new console's suppoed launch I cannot deduce anything regarding Sony moving forward. This is pretty much me right now when it comes to the PS5:
  9. Bought Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Yeah, yeah. Crucify me for buying a game from one of the worst publishers/companies in history, I'm not going to justify my decision Anyways, played the first few missions of the campaign and it's one hell of a ride already. It plays so well and is a lot of fun. It's also very impressive audiovisually. The campaign is supposed to be quite controversial and so far I've only seen a glimpse of it. There needs to be some serious "oh no"-moment to make me go "wow, it really is controversial". Multiplayer is great, as well. Hardcore still is the way to go. But maybe for the mode Ground War (32v32 Battlefield style mode) I can deal with Core for the occasional match, we'll see. Co-op missions seem pretty sweet. Very difficult, though. I'd say too difficult. Enemies spawn relentlessly and they are dangerous. Some balancing is definitely needed, in my opinion. With all the future maps/co-op missions/content not locked behind a season pass, I can see myself (and my best mate ) playing this for quite a while.
  10. Finished Final Fantasy XV just now. My thoughts? Great gameplay (with some weird design choices), horrible narrative. The story itself was kind of ok but had a lot of potential that was never fulfilled. The final battles were amazing but lacked any real impact because, again, the narrative was disastrous. Nothing happened for 95% of the game, then you get shat on with backstory, character development for the main baddie and all important revelations in the span of 20 minutes. There was, however, one thing that kept me going story-wise: The dynamic between the four main characters. They really are a great group Anyway, enjoyable but could've been so much more. Also finished Borderlands 2 with a mate. Man, that game has one of my most hated game mechanics: Make enemies that are 2-3 levels higher than yours virtually unbeatable. They kill you in 2 shots max and your own weapons do pretty much no damage. I hate it.
  11. I knew it Season 1 done. Spectacular show. Can't wait to see where it goes and whether it can keep up the quality.
  12. So far, it doesn't seem that bad. I obvisouly can't say what changed, as I haven't played the "original" version of chapter 13. It's weird, though, that... I'll say it again: The narrative is a mess and it SUCKS because there is so much cool shit going on. I don't know how far I am with chapter 13 or how much story progression there is still left, but come on...don't drop all these bombshells on me in the span of 20 minutes Anyway, I actually just figured out that I can go "back" to the open world and do sidequests and stuff...not sure if I wanna do that, though. Maybe I'll wait 'til post game (assuming there is one). That's it for today. Meeting with a friend and then it's time for some NFL action. I'll most likely finish the story during the next couple of days. To be honest...even though it's such a mess, I can't wait because the gameplay is fun. Man...this game is weird
  13. Started watching Mr. Robot and just finished episode 4 of season 1. It's kind of slow but very intriguing. I am 95% convinced that...
  14. Alright. FFXV seems to have put me on the "no sidequests until the end"-track and I'm ok with it. It has become quite interesting. I got some details about the history of the Gods and what the future might hold. It still pisses me off that it has been done in a way that only takes 2 minutes. This should've been spread out over the course of the first 2/3 of the game... There are still many questions that I feel should've been answered by know but either will be resolved in the last 3 chapters over the course of 5 minutes or simply not at all. The narrative is a mess and it's annoying to see that there is so much wasted potential. However, the game is great fun. I'm actually quite happy that I've neglected sidequests and grinding because fights are quite interesting and require some tactics and finesse. I would assume that if I had done most of the side activities until now, I would've been way too overpowered. Now I'm at the start of the dreaded 13th chapter. You know...the one everybody complained about? Let's see what all the fuss is about.
  15. Played it on the Vita quite some time ago. It's great, isn't it? Simple but tough.
  16. Final Fantasy XV's music is so good. This one has some serious Metal Gear Solid/Harry Gregson-Williams vibes. It could very well be music that plays when you get detected in a MGS game. It's become one of my favourite video game songs. When the piano kicks in...always gets me hyped.
  17. I would assume you mean the fight against: What an incredible set-piece. So much fun. Soooo...shit went down but still no real progress with the plot. Yes, Noctis' quest for power is still ongoing but other than that...nothing is really being talked about. I'm now 2/3 through the game (at least with regards to the chapter number) and I feel like nothing's happening. To make matters worse: There is so much potential for a great story. It's evident every single second... Still waiting for some characters to come out of the shadows and have an actual impact. However, I do enojy the dynamic of the group. The main characters are great and I love their interactions. Anyway...Ardyn is weird. It feels like...
  18. Well, well, well. Obviously any kind of microtransaction in a 60€ game sucks but hey...no loot boxes. But I will still say: for now. Activision doesn't have the best track record regarding this shit.
  19. God forbid, people like to look at women (AND MEN, I'M NOT SEXIST) (be they real or animated) and media presenting them in a suggestive/sexy way.
  20. I sure as hell know what doesn't put me off.
  21. Yeah, but it's still all a little light on info. Good. Here's hoping that it'll be enjoyable.
  22. YES! I've only encountered one so far but I was completely absorbed in it. Haven't had this experience with gaming in a long time. It was an incredible mix between interactivity (the fight itself), "cutscenes" (scripted scenes from the battle), the interaction between party members, the visuals and the music (that track you posted). Speaking of music: it's incredible. The battle themes are so good. The piano is just amazing Oh and the battles...Obviously they aren't as tactical as turn-based iterations but they are fun as hell. Every move has some "weight" to it. You hit an enemy/get hit and you kinda "feel" it. Weird to describe it, but that's my eperience so far
  23. That trophy picture sure is tidy, innit?
  24. 11 hours in, FFXV still got me. After a couple of sidequests I decided to follow the story missions for a while. Aaaaand I still have no idea what exactly is going on. I'm trying to power up...sure. A couple of people that look like bad guys/gals were introduced in a 45 second cutscene...great. One of them threatened the fuck out of me...ok? And this one overly suspicious dude just miraculously shows up to help whenever shit's going down...cool. Now, do I know anything about those characters aside from the fact that they're trying to fuck me up in one way or another? No. In itself that's not a big problem, but according to the chapter # that I've completed I'm 1/3 through the game and the story hasn't progressed at all. The game seriously needs to provide more context and plot soon. But not for a while as I will most likely focus on sidequests again Anyway, the game does look pretty. I've chosen the "favour framerate" option so it's not as pretty as it can be, but it's still beautiful. I love looking through the photos Prompto takes.
  25. I remember playing it when I was about 10 years old, which means aprox. 5-6 years after its release. Whether it was a big thing...no idea as I wasn't into the industry as a whole back then. I just played video games and couldn't give a fuck about anything else I would only assume that it did relatively well, since it was a launch title IIRC. Then again, I can only extrapolate from my experience with which games my friends owned back then and Wipeout was in most of my mates' collections.
