Which ones? The old SNES games, i.e. the good ones? Or the new Wii/Wii U games, i.e. the shit ones? Awesome I'll definitely get this game sooner, rather than later. Could be a nice birthday present to myself at the end of November

(I'll quote you here, since this is the dedicated Breaking Bad thread ) Watched it last night and enjoyed it. That's it. It wasn't unnecessary but it also wasn't necessary, if that makes any sense...nice to have, but as @Dog-amoto said: Still, Aaron Paul is incredible as Jesse Pinkman, no matter if it's in the series or the movie.

Been spending some time with Final Fantasy XV these days. 6 hours since Friday, to be precise. The longest I've spent with a single-player game in that short amount of time since Slay the Spire. Now...do I like it? Yes, yes I do. It took a while, though, for a couple of reasons: talking to people is slow and I can't think of any reason why the devs thought it would be a good idea; but I got used to it and it's not a big deal in the grand scheme of things menues after talking to people are slow (e.g. accepting hunts, ordering food, etc.)...yeah, yeah, you get it the fighting system I had to get away from the idea that battles are like any other action game, i.e. you can fight and never get hit; maybe eventually you can but right now it seems impossible once I understood that it's still a JRPG, the fights became a lot more fun; I got back into the rhythm of attacking, using magic, using techniques and healing via items; just like in traditional (and turn-based) JRGPs Now that these aspects "clicked", I very much enjoy the game. I know that the story isn't particularly fleshed out, in the sense that the narrative is pretty fucked. However, I do own the movie Kingsglaive (which takes place before and during the first 2 chapters) and there's an anime (Brotherhood) to watch, which both help getting deeper into the lore. I will watch both pretty soon. If, in the end, those three sources of lore are not enough then FFXV and I will have a problem But that's something to think about when I'm done with the experience.

The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening REMAKE — 20th September 2019

Been listening to the remake's soundtrack and I have to say: It's beautiful. I love me some new renditions of some of my favourite tracks in gaming history. Art style is still shit, though -

@ArtMediocre That's beautiful -
Just augmented my Dual Blades so I get a little bit of life steal. It's not much but it can certainly reduce the amounts of potions I drink In other news: gematsu.com Incredible. Here's hoping Capcom will never ever go back to handhelds with Monster Hunter. I always thought the series was held back by the technical limitations of weaker devices, which was one of the biggest reasons I couldn't get into the series in the past.

Haven't been playing MHW that much in the past week (haven't played much at all, to be honest) but whenever I log on and go on a hunt it's a blast. There aren't many games that are still this much fun even though you're pretty much doing the same thing over and over again I've started fighting with Dual Blades and goodness me, they are fun. Full on offensive-mode

Not with our performance in the first half. I'm not trying to downplay our win and we played insanely well in the second half but especially our defense wasn't on top in the first 30-40 minutes. Kovac said it: The last 60 minutes were almost perfect but we should not dismiss the first 30.

Waiting for the obligatory video about Switch Lites suffering from drifting analogue sticks.

You bet your sweet ass, I am I haven't seen much (wanna go in with as little knowledge of the game as I can) but I've seem some gameplay snippets and the shooting/stealth looks to be similar to Metal Gear Solid V, which was bloody awesome. As for the rest (exploration, the "walking simulator stuff", etc.); can't say much as I want to experience this myself.

You guys could've told me that this game is hella addictive and awesome Just unlocked Augmentations. Why not let me grind more to upgrade my gear even more

Good old Activision fucking things up again. Spec Ops: Survival mode is exclusive to PS4 for one year (!!!!!!) there apparently was a "fair" (as fair as it can be with these things) system to unlock stuff which is locked behind mtx but that was scrapped Yup, not buying at launch. A couple of months later, second hand from ebay

I've always been a fan of the 4X genre. From Wikipedia: While I haven't played many of those games, I remember spending an insane amount of time with Civilization IV back in 2005 (and years go come) and Endless Space in 2012. What I love most about these games is: the complexity. There are so many aspects/variables/mechanics you have to keep in mind while setting up your every move (and grand strategy) and I love tinking about that shit Here's a shortened rundown of a decision I had to make in Stellaris: Console Edition: Do I want to try and destroy my neighbouring empire? Yes, because it has repeatedly attacked my bases it hinders my research it hinders my resource collection it hinders my exploration I HATE IT No, because I could negotiate a deal and later exploit their resource acquisition with a possible trade deal I could negotiate a deal and conquer every other empire with them and then backstab them at the very end it might have a far superiour military might than I have right now In the end I went with "Yes", which ended badly because the third argument in the "No" section was the reason why my empire got eradicated This is pretty much the main reason I love the genre: making decisions. It's also fun to figure out ways to exploit the AI. AI is never perfect and sometimes it can be great to just fuck 'em over Another aspect which I enjoy very much: You can usually save whenever you like and pick up anytime later. You can also pause mid-game and look at the entire situation/data without any sense of urgency. It's a relaxing genre to me and if I'm in the right mood for it I can spend many sleepless nights with it That reminds me...I need to get back to Stellaris: Console Edition.

Awesome! Not too fussed about the fact that DLC will be sold separately instead of the game coming as a GOTY edition or something, but I've wanted to play this for a long time and now it's coming to PS4 Can't wait!

Was about to post this. Not watching the trailer. Don't want to be spoiled February can't come soon enough...

Looking good. I've said that I won't by this but who am I kidding. The beta was great fun.
