Well, being the drunk fuck that I was last night I simply put my camera to "auto mode" Flash photography ensued and the pictures turned out quite good. Since I'm not a professional photographer and only do this for fun I'm satisfied with the results Still, thanks for your advice. I'm pretty sure that I will put those tips to good use sooner or later

It's an event for an organization I'm volunteering for. Won't be the first time I'll take photos of the people there It's nothing special so if the photos turn out to be horrible...meh I'd like to at least take a couple of good pictures, though.

@Goafer I've been asked to take some photos of an event tomorrow. Thing is: It's in a bar and most likely not very well lit. I know a little bit about apeture, shutter speed, iso, etc. but I will probably have to resort to using flash photography. What camera settings should I use? Mind you, I don't have any special equipment. Just my regular Canon EOS 1200D

Well, they redeemed themselves. Season 2 was spectacular. Great premise, awesome writing, absolutely hilarious And Season 3 seems to be even better. Love this show. Easily one of my favourites.

Nope, it's about the P-Switch... It's actually pretty easy. IIRC Mario stays in contact with the P-Switch for 12 (maybe more) frames after jumping on it and you can jump during 10 of them. Edit: It's 15 frames, not 12.

Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia (May 19)
drahkon replied to Serebii's topic in Nintendo Gaming
Urgh, the worst mechanic that can be put into a turn-based strategy game. I hate bosses in JRPGs that do that. Or enemies that can regenerate parts of their body...usually you have to destroy them first in order to attack the main body...it's the worst. -
Yup, but it still doesn't sit right with me If you were able to cancel attacks anytime I think I'd be all over it. But it's just this one (in my opinion) flaw that ruins the entire battle system.
-
I just can't get over the fact that you can't cancel attacks with your dodge. Makes fighting really clunky to me.

Another one of my awesome double posts S-ranked what has been the most difficult stage in Thumper so far. They just had to throw in some off-beat shit If you're up for a quick 2 minute video, here's my run: I need a break now.

Tomorrow is supposed to be the hottest day in German history. So far it is at 40.3°C measured in 2015. If the forecast is correct we will see 41°C in some places.

Gonna gush a little over EVERSPACE What a game. It took a while for me to understand certain mechanics (and I was a little skeptical whether the game really is good) but as soon as they clicked the gameplay made more sense. Spacefights are intense, crafting is elaborate and as far as I can tell it will get even more elaborate later on, rogue-like elements...well, I love 'em It's also a very pretty game Screenshot doesn't really do it justice but it is gorgeous. (I lost the fight against this green fucker, by the way...was way out of my league). Only reached sector two and died immediately because I didn't pick my fights very well Love me some rogue-like action

If anybody is interested: sign-ups for the Black Desert beta are available: https://www.console.playblackdesert.com/intro/ps_pre?utm_source=pr&utm_medium=pr#register It's an MMORPG coming to PS4 late August.

Goodbye Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun Hello EVERSPACE If I have a choice between a rogue-like and literally anything else...it'll always come down to my favourite genre. ontrols in EVERSPACE are a little clunky but I'm slowly getting used to it. Typical rogue-like mechanics are in place. So far, so good Thumper, man...Level 6, pretty much halfway through. Still a matter of: some stages I can beat first try, some fuck me up because I space out But it's so much fun. Terraria, beat the first boss. Very easy, but that was expected as I prepared quite a lot. Still a long way to go before I reach the content that I haven't seen so far. It's been a long time and there have been a lot of patches/expansions since I've played it back in the day on my PC...
-
Other than EVERSPACE (a rogue-like space shooter) for 8€ there's nothing for me. Good, because I spent way too much on games last month with Thronebreaker and Stellaris. Anyway, see ya. Will dive into the rogue-like I just bought.

One can only hope Looking at comments on various sites, people had to cover the shipping expenses themselves, so far.

I went grocery shopping at 7.45am this morning. It was already 33°C. I like the summer, but this is too much. And it's only going to get worse. Tomorrow it's supposed to be 40°C from 10am to late at night. So that climate change...still not real, aye?
-
Took them long enough But hey, as H-o-T said: Better late than never. You still have to cover the shipping cost, though, I assume? Which would mean the only thing that has changed is the warranty.

Welp, Thumper is kicking my ass. Halfway through level 5 and it's quite tough. Some stages I can beat first try but then I lose focus for whatever reason and get my ass handed to me Love it. Started to play Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun again. Completed two missions on hardcore difficulty. Not as difficult as it sounds but still challenging. Perfect stealth game with a great setting. And then Terraria to relax and wind down from time to time. Managed to get the highest defense armor pre-hardmode, still haven't fought against a boss I love to be prepared.

Out on PSN, not sure about other services. Game is boring as all hell. Fights are slow and clunky, art style is bland, music is nothing special.
-
Ah, much better. Can't wait to play this.

Phew, framerate needs some serious improvement...other than that: looks awesome

The Good Place Season 1... Great comedy with awesome twists. But that ending? I don't like it. Seems like a case of: "oh, the show is very successful, let's keep it going for at least another season" and then they came up with it in 30 minutes. Don't get me wrong, I'm looking forward to Season 2 and hope the comedy remains on the high level from the first season but still...Season 1's ending left with me a sour taste in my mouth.
-
I might just wait for the series. I stopped reading the first book halfway through for no real reason Anyway, started watching The Good Place and it's forking hilarious.

Wow, the following is ridiculous: That is inexcusable. I'm still baffled how Nintendo managed to create something with such a design flaw. Oh boy...
