  1. By the way, @Hero-of-Time I need some motivation to keep going with Blaster Master Zero. It's not that I dislike it but there's something about it that feels off. Can't put my finger on it For some reason I don't like exploring in this game...HALP
  2. Shit, totally forgot about that We should definitely get back to it. What about on the weekend sometime?
  3. Another update: I finished King of Cards just now. I've been high while fighting the final boss of this campaign and it's even weirder than the one in Spectre of Torment. Anyway, great conclusion to a wonderful game series/collection. Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove should be played by everyone who enjoys 2D-platformers from the past That makes 12 games finished in 2020 so far. A few of them are from my most beloved genre rogue-like and I'll keep playing them, though. Almost halfway to reaching the amount of games I've beaten in 2019 What to play next...money's tight so no new games for me. I might actually give a game from the Switch SNES library a go. I sadly couldn't get on with Kirby's Dream Land 3 because as is the norm with Kirby games it's ridiculously easy
  4. That's what I always tell the ladies. Wait, what is this thread about again? Sure thing. I'm German, though, so there will be ABSOLUTELY NO HUMOR WHATSOEVER. Other than that, yeah...I think I could talk a little bit about Slay the Spire, the quintessential rogue-like-deck-building-game that surpassed all other games in past, present and future existence. The insane amount of polish that went into balancing each and every aspect of the game is astounding. Every card, relic, potion serves a purpose and it's up to you to evaluate whether it's useful. That decision, however, is influenced by so many variables. To name a few: Does it help my deck short-term? How about long-term? Is the detrimental effect worth the buff? IS IT DEAD BRANCH AND YES I WILL ALWAYS TAKE DEAD BRANCH?! Variables...probably the most important word in Slay the Spire. Having to constantly evaluate the importance of certain variables no matter where you are at in a run is what makes this game so special. Especially in higher diffic...
  5. It's been a "long" time, though
  6. You should talk about Slay the Spire.
  7. To be fair, you plow through each game in a matter of hours while others take months
  8. Ticket to see IAMX live in April Chris Corner is recording an acoustic album and going on a solo tour with it. I've seen IAMX live a couple of times and they are incredible. But an acoustic solo tour? Man, this is gonna be a very intimate show. I may end up crying the entire concert... A sneak preview of what I can expect has me excited to no end.
  9. Rogue-likes have taken over my gaming life and I wouldn't want it any other way Dead Cells - managed to unlock the third difficulty (2BC, i.e. 2 Boss Cells). Yeah...shit's hard. Love it. The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ - finished some more challenges and unlocked pretty useful items. Still the pinacle of the genre. Already cannot wait for the final DLC Also downloaded and started Warframe on my Switch. I've played it a bit on my PS4 but it's a game much more suited to handheld play with TV or something running in the background It's a whooping 18GB so not a lot of space for other games...I should buy a microSD card as soon as I'm getting paid next month. It's a pretty game but only runs ok. Quite the choppy framerate at times. We'll see whether it'll affect gameplay in the long run. And we'll see whether the gameplay can stay interesting.
  10. He deserves all the hate
  11. I hate you both.
  12. What happened to you?
  13. Jojo Rabbit - hilarious movie with some very powerful scenes. Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse - I'm not really into superhero movies but a friend insisted that I see this. Thank you, my man Such a cool film. The animation is insane.
  14. I'll believe it when City isn't included in the next European competitions' draws. This will end up being a transfer ban for a year max. Mark my words
  15. Watched Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban on Wednesday. Really enjoyed it. Even though I know all the important plot twists and relationships between characters (of the entire series) it was still a great mistery and magic movie. A lot of fun and it's great to see the series become more and more "mature" with each film. I've seen the next iteration of the series back when it first came out but can't wait to watch it again and keep going with Harry Potter And just now I've watched Knives Out. Bloody amazing. I don't follow movie news anymore but I really hope it's being talked about. Great performances all around and an incredible mystery film. It's silly, goofy, intriguing with twists and turns and a wonderful conclusion. Highly recommended if you like mystery films from the 70s.
  16. Well, that was pretty good for my first Mario Kart 8 DX battle mode journey @S.C.G you are "Sam", right? If so, there will be a lovely highlight coming soon. I think you know what I'm talking about
  17. YES! Haven't played 20XX as much as I would like but the sequel makes me hyped as FUCK Love the pixelated art style. Looks much more appealing than the prequel's style.
  18. But why didn't you post this in the E3 2020 thread?
  19. Welp, my internet's down Here's hoping it'll sort itself out until later tonight...
  20. Alright. I won't be able to make next week (20th of Februrary)
  21. @Nicktendo You're not interested in this game and that's fine. I don't understand the need to defend the decisions Nintendo has made or the attempt to convince you that the game might be amazing. Don't bother justifying your decision to not buy a Nintendo game in these parts of the forum. We've had these situations many times before. It always turns into a game of "how can you not think it's amazing" - "that's why" - "but look at this" - "don't like it" - "but look at this" - ... The discussion two pages earlier was great. This one is turning into a tedious slog with no end in sight... Edit: To lighten up the mood: Animal Crossing Music Chrome Extension
  22. Probably why Nintendo just doesn't give a damn about rectifying or clarifying the issues surrounding the game. New Horizons will sell millions of copies and probably millions of Switches, too. They know they can get away with it It's a damn shame that companies in general are able to get away with it By the way, my mom's part of the problem. She recently told me that she heard about some issues but doesn't give a damn. She just wants to spend another 800million hours on a new Animal Crossing. I thought about breaking her Switch a month into the game's lifetime but then she'd probably just by another one. Feeding right into Nintendo's scheme...OH MY GOD.
