  1. But @Sheikah...Sony bad
  2. 3D Platformer Easy: Ratchet and Clank (PS4) Blows all other 3D platformers out of the water. Funny, great characters, wonderful gameplay and a joy to play from start to finish.
  3. Bought Blazing Beaks on Switch last night (it's on sale for 2 bucks right now). It's a rogue-lite Seems to play similarly to Nuclear Throne. Not bad, so far. There's a cool risk-reward mechanic: You can pick up so called Artifacts. They give you negative effects (e.g. lower fire rate, lower max HP, etc.) but increase your "risk value". Eventually you reach a shop and can trade in these Artifacts for good items: The higher the risk value, the more items you get. Pretty neat. Needless to say, I pick up ALL THE ARTIFACTS and haven't made it past 10 minutes play time. Also decided to get back to Slay the Spire. Need to save some money so a game like this is perfect to tide me over. Still need to beat the true boss with The Watcher.
  4. @Glen-i Great news: Mobile is here to stay. It's a shame that Nintendo will continue to go this route...make apps with predatory mechanics to make money and get people hooked. I thought this was beneath them.
  5. Favourite Villain The Patriots from the Metal Gear Solid series. Not going to spoil anything about it, though. It would also take a looooooot of words to explain
  6. Phew. 4 hour session done The Charge Blade is awesome. Probably my favourite weapon. A little tricky to use but once it clicks...very satisfying. Anyways, playing through Iceborne's story again just reminded me that some of the new monsters are tedious to fight...it's slightly more bearable with a second player but still annoying at times.
  7. I have to say...while the more recent E3 shows haven't been great I do kinda miss 'em now. One week of gaming news and announcements was still good fun. This year it's been weeks of everybody doing their own thing on a myriad of different platforms...it's a mess. Haven't followed any of these shows aside from Sony's two PS5 videos. Really hope there will be something like E3 next year.
  8. @Glen-i only use the hard mode medal for bosses. It's not worth it for the rest of the game. As I said before: I don't think hard mode is balanced very well. You also won't miss anything. The medals you'd get from killing bosses at the higher difficulty? You can just buy them later anyways Put 'em all into medal points. Rest is not worth it. You can get more HP/TP with medals later on.
  9. Gonna be doing some Iceborne quests this evening with my mate. Will set up a Charge Blade class. Played with Lance for a while but it's a little too static for my taste. I think it's time to fight with a more technical weapon Can't wait to get my ass kicked.
  10. Local Multiplayer Easy: Super Smash Bros. Melee The amount of time two of my best mates and I spent with this game in our youth...
  11. 100% Great review, spot on. Really hope we'll see a sequel
  12. It's been two weeks now. The buyer asked if I could provide a tracking number a few days ago, but obviously I couldn't do that. Now I got the request for a refund. I'm a cynic, which is why I still doubt that the game hasn't arrived There's also the problem that I only accepted PayPal as the payment option and apparently you (as a seller) will always be on the bad end if something goes wrong, unless you send the item with tracking. Yeah, that's what I'll do from now on. It's the first time this happened in about 30-40 game sales I've done. As I said, it stings a little but meh. I learned my lesson.
  13. Definitely. I mean, I can live without those 45 bucks. It means I won't buy another game for at least this month, but it's not like I won't get by without the money. I work part time so it does sting a little, though. Anyways, next time I'll invest a little more into sending stuff with tracking. Man, Xenoblade Chronicles: Definite Edition sure went from 10/10 to fucking disaster in less than a month
  14. Sold something on ebay. Sent it without tracking. Buyer claims it never arrived (doubt that's true). Now I gotta repay him. Nothing I can do 45€ and the item down the drain. Sold and sent so many items without tracking...never a problem. But...lesson learned...never again without tracking.
  15. As far as I know they didn't. It's why I will never touch a game from Vlambeer again.
  16. Opening Section of a Game Genre I'm gonna go rogue here (heh) and choose an entire genre of games: Rogue-lites(-likes) Every game in this particular branch starts with you being quite weak. You feel a little helpless as enemies take a few hits to defeat but usually (depending on the game) you pick up one or two items early giving you a stat-boost or some special ability. You start to realize that there's a lot of potential here. And there lies the beauty of rogue-lites(-likes): The possibilities to grow stronger isn't apparent to you at first, because you don't know what's in store for you (especially during your first few runs) but once you start to build some synergies or just flat out become stronger...the game opens up.
  17. Season 3 doesn't grab me as much as the first two. I have three episodes left to watch but I kinda lost interest. The ending of season 2 ruined it for me a little. I'll finish the show and I hope it'll redeem itself but so far I'm disappointed with the final season.
  18. Earliest Video Game Memory I can't pinpoint how old I was exactly but I was most likely 4 or 5. My parents bought a Game Boy and a few games. We used to go on vacation in northern Germany during the summer. Long car rides were the norm so to keep me occupied I was allowed to play video games I remember playing Tetris, Kwirk and Super Mario Land quite a lot during those car rides. Can't say which one of those was my first gaming memory, so I'm just gonna say that all of them take a place in that section of my brain
  19. Alright. Not for me then. Thanks for the info
  20. How's the dedicated single player part of the game? I've played the multiplayer quite a bit at a friend's place and it's obviously great, but given that I currently only use my Switch as a single-player machine I'd love to know whether it's worth the price.
  21. Oh boy...so much to watch, so little time Thanks, y'all Been working my way through some sketches on YouTube. Just randomly bouncing off of your recommendations. Lots of late night hours have been spent that way last week
  22. Risk of Rain 2 is a genuinely good game. It is still in early access (on consoles, at least. Not sure about PC) but it's already very polished. Can't stop playing. There's so much potential for some ridiculously powerful runs, but I haven't gotten this far. Need more practice to survive some of the bosses (and some of the later normal enemies which are surprisingly tough).
  23. Mila And we need more photos. NOW
  24. Welp, my Civilization VI save file got corrupted so the match that I was playing, that was about 400 turns in, is gone... In other news: Risk of Rain 2 is awesome. Unlocked two more characters, but haven't made a lot of progress during runs The game's kicking my ass.
  25. 0/10 if Reyn doesn't yell "MAN, WHAT A BUNCH OF JOKERS" when you win.
