  1. Phew. Time to take a breather. No concentration in the first 10 minutes. Thankfully the equalizer and the following chance by Messi woke us up. After that...domination. Great tactical display and very disciplined performance by each and everyone of our players. "Just" gotta keep this up. Oh and...the main ref is horrible. Then again, I was spoiled by a great referee performance yesterday.
  2. Aaaand just got an email that the lady in charge already planned with me Gotta meet with her soon to talk out the details (topic, when I'll start, and all that jazz). Today is a good day.
  3. Looks like I'll be able to start working on a Bachelor thesis next semester. I've now reached the required credit points to start. Managed to leave quite a positive impression with an institute at our university (it's the institute for Molecular Biotechnology) during a seminar. I asked beforehand if they got a topic to work with and the person responsible told me that she could find one for me. There's still the possibility that Covid-19 fucks it all up, though. Fingers crossed that it won't. Anyways, I still have quite a few exams to pass so even if I can start working on my thesis I won't be done for a while. Gonna take me one more year to get a degree (don't ask me how long I've been a Bachelor student ).
  4. Depends on where exactly I was going. In busy streets I wore a mask, but usually I found alleys where I could keep quite a distance to others
  5. Good lord, it gets worse. Quests (side or main) are pretty much: "Here's the story, here's where you have to go. Go there, do this, go here, do that. Quest done, next quest..." Maybe it's more for kids. Which isn't a bad thing inherently. It seems to be a nice game to get kids into RPGs. It's just too easy and too hand-holdy for me. Recently I also bought Knights of Pen and Paper +1 Deluxier Edition on Switch. Never had any experience with DnD or Pen and Paper RPGs, so it was a little weird at first. The game kind of simulates a DnD session (I assume) but as a solo experience. So far, it's quite interesting. Will see how it'll hold up after a few hours. Aaaaaand my mate and I started Ghost Recon Breakpoint yesterday. Did the first few missions and it's good old co-op fun Plays similar to Ghost Recon Wildlands which is not a bad thing. We loved that game. Breakpoint has a few bugs, but nothing game breaking (so far). Other than that: It's fun. We'll spend lots of time with this. Wildlands took us about a year to finish (and get the Platinum) so we all know where this is headed
  6. Oh boy, I'm so nervous We're in top form but as you said: Barca can take on anyone on a good day.
  7. Not out on PS4, it seems.
  8. Well deserved I play a few rounds everyday and it's still always a joy Managed to win Hex-a-Gone last night against two friends. We were the last three. Grabbed one of them, he fell down and screamed at me. And with some incredible movement on my part I managed to cut of my other mate's path and he had nowhere to go. He also screamed at me First patch should be out today. It'll add a new final game and fix some issues (but not broken friendships ).
  9. @Julius All fair points regarding the controller. Finances, mostly. I'm not in a position to save money, so it all comes down to how much the PS5 will cost and if I can trade in my PS4 Pro to reduce the price. Sony themselves (or rather their first party studios) don't need to do more. The big PS5 event a few weeks ago showed everything I wanted. I came in with the knowledge (given PlayStation launches in the past) that first party launch games won't be a big part of their plan so I'm fine with that. And with Sony's incredible track record in the last decade (turning around their PS3 fiasco and just rocking the show with the PS4 - which, by the way, is still selling like hot cakes...absolutely insane) I know what I can expect. The first two years are already stacked (assuming there won't be lots of delays) and it can only get more crowded. There's only a few things I'd like to see: PS5's OS more information regarding third party accessories (would love to know whether I'll be able to use my headset and controller) - that's something for the respective companies, though, not Sony a few more indie devs focusing on developing a game for the new console
  10. Source Fuck you, then
  11. To be fair, if you forget to charge the controller...that's on you I can understand the convenience argument, but still: If you play 10 hours during the day/evening without needing a charge (as is possible with the DS4) and charge it over night, you're golden. I think it's a little different for smartphones, though. You use those for way longer periods of time than gaming controllers. If my smartphone only lasted 10 hours I'd be pissed (then again, I wouldn't have bought it). Anyways, I get it's more convenient but I still don't see it as a problem. My point is: Don't be lazy twats and charge your damn controllers Yeah, aside from the price POINT, this is the only thing I need to see. There's so much room for improvement on those fronts...but I'm convinced they've put enough resources into it. At least into their OS.
  12. But why? I'm genuinely surprised why anybody would want that, or rather why it's necessary. Unless, of course, people regularly play for 15-20 hours in one session? I get that maybe a 5-6 hour charge can get annoying, but everything over 10 seems overkill to me
  13. Those must be some serious sessions I can usually play 8-10 hours with a fully charged DS4.
  14. Here it's pretty much as hot as it was yesterday at noon. According to the forecast it'll be 25°C the entire next week. Would be a dream. Until then...35°C it is
  15. Great to see that the devs get more time to improve their game, but as everyone said: This is a huge blow to the Series X's launch. So it'll be "Game Pass this, Game Pass that" for a while. It's a great service, but I doubt it's got enough pull to sell more than a few new consoles. Happy to be proven wrong, though.
  16. Bought Cat Quest on the eShop for 1,60€ a few days ago. Played a bit and I have to say: A very simple, very cute, veeeeeeery hand-holding RPG. The latter fact may turn me away from the game pretty soon if it keeps going like this.
  17. It's raining like crazy, it's cooling down. Perfect. Gonna stay up for a while to watch the show and enjoy 25°C, instead of the 37°C we've had over the past few days. This is the weather I live for.
  18. A friend found copies of this for 10 bucks. It's apparently not a great game but I'm sure a few friends and I will have some co-op fun regardless
  19. Was about to post the tweet. Well deserved Spent most of the weekend playing this and it's still so much fun
  20. Until Nintendo has a decent online service I don't want to see anything like that from them...
  21. Yesterday, the servers were down 90% of the time. Apparently there was a huge influx of new players. Really hope it's smooth sailing today, as I have nothing to do and want to play this a lot
  22. Wow, what a ridiculous penalty for Juve. The first one (the one for Lyon) was such a brilliant call but come on...how did VAR not interfere on the second penalty. Well...gonna be an interesting second half for sure.
  23. Can't wait for autumn and winter to arrive. This heat is not for me.
  24. No idea, to be honest. I haven't really followed Euro League that much. But they do play some great football at times. Personally I think he's a little overrated right now. He's a great player, don't get me wrong, but he's not at that level, yet. Surely has the talent to become a world star, though.
  25. Won 4 episodes in a row yesterday. And then I failed the 5th final Heartbreaking...I was so close to get that dreaded trophy. I'm over it, though, because it means that with enough time I could actually get the 5 wins in a row But I'll still not actually try going for it. Probably only when I have 3 wins in a row. Anyways, this game is so much fun. Don't wanna be in the devs' shoes. I think this weekend will be huge for them with a lot more people joining the fray. They are increasing their server load quite a lot. I'd expect some more maintenance downtimes today. They must be sweating
