I bought Risk of Rain 2 for PS4 yesterday and played a little bit earlier this morning. So far, so good. Roguelite 3rd person shooter. Right up my alley Also bought Civilization VI again for the Switch. Digital copy for 11 bucks. First game: Going for a Domination Victory. Been trying out slower game speed and it's great. You don't rush through each era and have more time to build an army and actually use it. I've destroyed Norway and Germany already (I actually captured Aachen, the city I live in. Made me giggle ).

Not enough to pull me back in. Still hoping for some much needed QoL improvements. Not holding my breath, though

Not going into the F2P aspects, everybody can have different opinions on that one. But I will say: The Rock-Paper-Scissors mechanic in this game ruins it. Randomness in a fighting game? Objectively a bad idea. Posted an idea to replace that system on the sub-reddit: Once in a parry-lock have three buttons appear on screen. The first player to press these in order wins. If you make a mistake you lock in your "progress". E.g.: Button prompts: A, X, B Player 1 manages to get the first two right but not B Player 2 presses A, but then fails to hit X result: Player 1 wins because he "progressed" more Now, I have no idea if it's easy to implement because lots of things are at play, but to be honest...anything that removes RNG out of fights would be lovely.

I don't understand this game. It seems 95% luck based whether you win a fight or not... I must be missing something but I can't figure out what.

As many other games, this one looks so much more interesting than BotW. I need it now

I always underestimate the effects of extreme heat when exercising. It's 30°C here right now and I just went for a run. After 24 minutes (4km) I was exhausted. I've also noticed that my knees start to hurt after a long run (60-90 minutes). Not sure if it's 'cause they aren't used to it, yet, or if there's something else going on. Might have to get it checked.

Finally a microSD card for my Switch And later today I will most likely buy the following on PS4: It's on sale for 15 bucks and almost out of early access. Seems like a good time to jump back into the rogue-lite shooter genre

Man, I'm just sitting here mesmerized by this NGP+ stream. And I don't even know why. None of what was shown is appealing to me. Edit: And as I was writing that Shiren the Wanderer has been announced for a 2020 Switch release This has me interested.

Interesting. Lots of streamers already say that Wraith buffs make her overpowered again. Still can't believe how utterly ridiculous the Pathfinder nerfs were...and now with the changes to ziplines he got even worse. Lifeline's ult has no right to exist. It's useless with all the already available options to get loot. Revenant and Octane will get picked a lot more after the balance changes. Anyways, this patch will change the meta but it is not enough to pull me back in.

Good to know. It's always nice when a series is written to completion before it starts. I have to say: Usually I'm not very fond of German productions (it's a mix of me not liking the language and not finding the actors/actresses particularly good). But this one is great. I enjoy watching it in German.

Not sure how I feel about that ending. It felt a bit artificial...in the sense that it was written later. Not sure if a second season was planned from the start, but it feels like it wasn't. Season 1 was perfect right until the final 2-3 minutes. To be honest...I hate that ending. I'll definitely watch the second season to see if it makes sense and if the series/story can redeem itself.

Finished a Rogue Aces run. Man, that game got old very quickly. Gameplay is ok, but after a won run there's nothing really there for me to keep going. Glad I didn't pay full price.
