I want one at launch, but it depends on the price and where I'm at financially then. So there's no way for me to say right now. If it's possible to trade in the PS4 to get the PS5 cheaper I'd be up for it.

@Sméagol would like a word.

Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition (29th May)
drahkon replied to ArtMediocre's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I changed up my party and combat is a little different. I'm currently controlling... ...and it's refreshing what she can do. In other news, progressed the story a bit and now it's time for more of the good old "uncover the past, yadayada" section- 198 replies

She's YouTube's statistics manager, by the way.

Good news, everybody. It's a rogue-lite third person shooter mixed with some bullet hell. Rogue-lite.

Still too much

Destruction AllStars (PS5, February 2021 as part of PS+)
drahkon replied to drahkon's topic in Other Consoles
I knew you'd say that It's the presentation. Weird looks, weirdly behaving characters, weird weird weirdness just for the sake of being weird. Anything other than this being a F2P game would surprise me. Aside from its presentation, though, it does look interesting and fun. -
@Julius Must've forgotten about this one. Looks like Rocket League but instead of shooting a ball into a goal you murder people. I'm interested, but I definitely need to see more.

The Witness' optional challenge springs to mind. Tried it so many times but could never do it. Yeah, I can understand the appeal. For me, a turn-based battle system has to give me time to let me plan my moves, though.
-
Why can't we just appreciate that the numbers are insane? Why does it always have to turn into a "but Switch numbers are better" thing? It's annoying. Every. Single. Time.
-
Aren't timed hits different, though? Like "press the button at the right time"? The video above shows that you have 30 seconds to solve a puzzle in a fight. That's what I don't like.

Seems like a pretty bad decision to me

In case anybody's interested, here's the song of the hardware reveal: I knew I've heard that song before. I've actually listened to MF Greaves' EP sometime in March when it was recommended to me on Spotify.

YouTube description: Nobody knows whether it will incorporate RPG elements.

Probably. I don't like timed puzzles in my RPGs which is why I think it looks bad

In a world where number of views, likes and dislikes have become a good measurement of popularity and outreach, the numbers Sony raked in with yesterday's presentation and trailers are insane. I always thought Sony knew exactly what they were doing with their occasional drip-feeds of information so this news comes as no surprise to me.
-
Urgh, that battle system looks horrible...

I see that the PS5 is doomed, given how many people appear to be massively disappointed about this news. As if this changes anything with regards to the myriad of other games that have been announced. Remasters/upgraded versions were inevitable and pretty much every one expected them from day one. Insomniac Games were able to deliver this new version and the new Ratchet and Clank so that's actually quite impressive to me.
-
Now that Sony nailed their games showing, certain people need other things to complain about Can't wait to see the outrage when the PS5's price is 50 bucks higher than they expected/wanted. Anyways, looking forward to seeing more about the games (and more games) in the upcoming weeks.

Are there games you can play on one device/in docked mode? Obviously for games which rely on the opponent to not see your cards/stuff that's impossible. But what about games like Yahtzee?

Housemarque went 3rd person and apparently still nail that arcadey-shooty-feeling I'm so hyped for this.

2/3/4 player-coop sealed the deal for me. Looks like a lot of fun.
