  1. Because I finance my mom's and sister's islands (and mine). They don't really use the internet for forums and the likes so they rely on me Also: I like to be rich...at least in a game
  2. My savings are below 20 million. Bought 8000 turnips and hope to sell 'em for a good profit By the way, 97 bells per turnip on my island, so not worth the trip.
  3. Even with Nintendo's asinine limitations in place, I'm quite happy with Filbert's new home:
  4. Hm, weird. No idea what happened then. I think I watered most of your flowers, though He's way too loud and deserves to be cooked and eaten.
  5. I need it @BowserBasher I lost connection. Maybe your Switch is now in sleep mode?
  6. It has been done: Next project: Give Filbert a nice and relaxing cliff-top home. Work in progress: Obviously a second incline is missing. But I'm not sure if I want/need to make the highest platform larger. I'm still annoyed that you have to leave one row empty before you can build higher. I just want to have a 2-level cliff but thanks to Nintendo imposing lots of stupid restrictions I have to make due with staggered cliffs and flowers.
  7. Just in case anybody doesn't already know the Golden Flooring DIY, Lopez is giving it away. Island is open for a while.
  8. My journey to 5-stars continues: This area is just below the campsite. Gotta love Filbert.
  9. Check your mail Don't need anything in return. It's a gift
  10. I'll get it from Nook Shopping so I'll just send it your way. Edit: Nevermind, it also shows the island name It should've arrived. Just that won't help. An Ironwood Dresser is needed but I don't have the DIY
  11. I can send a kitchen island (sadly it's only silver and you can't customize it, which is ridiculous) your way. You want it on your old or new account? Also: If you have an Ironwood Dresser and a Cutting Board I could craft you an Ironwood Kitchenette (or an Ironwood Cupboard if you only have an Ironwood Dresser at hand).
  12. My first and so far only decorated room:
  13. Yeah, it's a really stupid mechanic. A fat hamster took an empty plot a couple of weeks ago Can't wait to get rid of her for an awesome villager
  14. Tomorrow I'll have a new resident: Savannah Really like her appearance and personality (which is apparently normal). Second best day of Animal Crossing: New Horizons for me
  15. I'm playing Monster Hunter with a mate right now. Will pop over but don't expect me to talk or be quick with watering your flowers
  16. No need. If @BowserBasher is called Simon ingame then he's got it in the mail
  17. Can't play videos from embedded tweets. Haven't been able to for a while now. No idea if it's an issue on my end, but I've changed nothing with my browser in months (aside from the normal updates).
  18. Finished DOOM (2016) just now. Very enjoyable old-school arcadey FPS-action. It did, however, overstay its welcome for maybe two missions. After two thirds of the game you get so ridiculously overpowered every fight becomes trivial. With a little exploration you get the following combo: Over 75 armor = your standard weapons have infinite ammo Upgrade your assault rifle to shoot rockets and boom. You are almost completely invincible unless you play like an idiot Gameplay is awesome. There's a perfect mix between shooting enemies and getting close to them to bash their fucking heads in to regain health/armor/ammo. It's so satisfying to clear a room while running, gunning and smacking hellspawn. The plot was pretty much just a means to an end...you get "spawned", kill everything because reasons and that's it. The cliffhanger at the end was pretty boring. The game's beautiful and runs perfectly smooth. And that OST...oooohhhhh that OST Instantly became one of my favourite tracks in video gaming history. Easily one of my favourite shooters ever. Joining the ranks of Titanfall 2 (no FPS has ever come close to that, though), CoD: Modern Warfare (2019)
  19. Well, that answers all the questions I didn't ask
  20. Oh, I didn't come up with that expression It was a reference to a certain post in a certain thread by a certain member. It mentioned how many of the forumites (or those using that particular thread) "habitually fail when it comes to smashing nice looking birds". I remember a lovely signature used by @Goafer I think? By the way, Lopez is giving out a Crest Doorplate DIY. My island is open. Edit: The name "Crest Doorplate" doesn't sound like much, but it's actually pretty cool looking:
  21. Well...what about "smashing nice looking birds"?
  22. Oh look, Clémence Poésy. Yeah, I'll watch the movie.
  23. Today I have finally made some more progress with DOOM (2016). I always thought this game was a horror-shooter which I usually don't like. And...it actually is a horror game. But for the enemies It's perfect arcadey FPS-action. Enemies spawn and it's up to you to bring 'em hell. It's a shame, though, that the trophies are glitched beyond belief. I wanted to get the Platinum, but getting the trophies turns out to be a crapshoot. Guess it'll just be one playthrough. If the quality remains high I have no complaints, though
