  1. I don't see at what point I ever tried to downplay or change your criticism of the story? You made a comment about the name of the series, and I made a comment about the naming of series. You joke, I joke, ya?
  2. But not final. Hence the name doesn't (and needn't) actually mean anything. The first Zelda had barely any legend to it anyhow.
  3. Just as Final Fantasy is lacking in finality?
  4. Call me different but I'm glad that Zelda's world isn't more fleshed out than it currently is. Zelda works for me because it's fairly simple and lighthearted. I would expect totally the opposite treatment to its open world environment building to, say, Witcher 3, which had at times cumbersome amounts of lore. Regarding Majora's Mask, I think the very concept of that game (72 hour cycles you constantly relive) is what essentially made you get to know the characters in that game better than you otherwise would have. Incidentally, audio logs are possibly one of the worst and most unimaginative ways to tell a story ever conceived. Oh right so you had something you wanted to say so you recorded it then left the recorder on the floor. Cool.
  5. I'd also rather avoid 95% of free WiFi hotspots over using my own data due to poor connections.
  6. I love survival games. I bought H1Z1 back in the day although unfortunately haven't haven't had chance to play it in a while. King of the kill is freaking great to watch though. Would really love this to come to PS4 as it has a great social aspect to it; there's just nothing quite like the way battle royale works in current FPS games on console. It's also great trolling material which is fun to watch. (Britbong is my guilty pleasure).
  7. Indeed, the dropoff is mad. I can think of any other controller I have pretty much for any other system and I've never had this problem. I can always play them with stuff slightly in the way.
  8. I got the Orzly screen protector which fits very well. Would definitely recommend one as I started to notice odd marks in the corners (not on the screen, rather the bezel, but still no doubt caused by docking).
  9. The problem with old Zelda and weapons not breaking was that it was too easy. You could literally shield tank your way through the game. As soon as you get the best sword you are sorted and nothing else matters. This way it's still exciting to encounter a powerful foe with a good weapon because you can bag that weapon. You have to choose when fighting a guardian whether to spend a few weapons or arrows or run away. If you just had the best weapon, you could fight every single one, and you would always just discard the lower attack weapons.
  10. That's what I thought. They have shrunk their business into one device so realistically, it should outsell both. Minus whatever it costs to develop, market and sell consoles/games for two systems versus one.
  11. I think this is a very troubling opinion. You can rate a game whatever you want based on your own opinion. I think it's quite disrespectful to assume people are doing something for a reason because it goes against common opinion. Not everyone thinks this is the best game ever.
  12. It happens with my grey ones too if that makes you feel any better. I imagine internally they are the same.
  13. Good news! You're already on your account.
  14. I like my Switch but personally I'd wait to see if they fix the joycons. It's not a case of getting lucky or not with the controllers, as they probably all have this issue. It's more a case of your individual setup causing problems (e.g. sitting too far away, leaning back, things in the way [coffee table], etc). Basically, the controllers have a very weak connection to the machine when it's docked, likely due to the antenna placement/non-dedicated antenna in the left joycon, so it's really easily affected by these things. I've been able to take controllers for other systems in the other room and they still work, but not with the Switch. Other than that, I'd recommend getting one as it's a great system.
  15. I can confirm it for you right now if you like? :p
  16. I think Nintendo will probably do something relatively soon. That Reggie has come out to address it says that it's not something they're going to just ignore. Their advice of keeping the Switch away from devices like phones when it's going to use voice chat via a phone is kind madness.
  17. Might be better to wait for the inevitable joycon V2 in which desync is addressed rather than sink £80 on new ones right now.
  18. I'm starting to see where Beverage got his name.
  19. You guys could all save us the effort by naming your profiles after your forum names.
  20. Yeah this month or so is madness. Switch is also getting Binding of Isaac Afterbirth+ which is an expansion on pretty much the best indie game ever made. Crazy time for gaming.
  21. I totally do get this post by the way. It's absurdity in the face of absurdity. A systematic deconstruction of something silly that was posted in complete seriousness. I do wonder if Clown will have a look over what he posted and realise what he was actually suggesting.
  22. I have the Voyage. It's not actually that comfortable to hold and a bit heavy (although after looking it up, Paperwhite is even heavier). I got the official origami case thing for it. I'd probably go for the Paperwhite as I'm assuming the Voyage is still a lot more expensive.
