  1. No, you'll probably get it on release. I've got a preorder there too. If it makes you feel better, given Nintendo are launching this on March 3rd, you'd be surprised if people ordering from Nintendo themselves will get it early either. They don't want people breaking street date.
  2. Well it doesn't have a web browser so I'm guessing so!
  3. Cool. When can we expect Mario 64 2 and Super Mario RPG 2?
  4. From Eurogamer impressions: Both very good things (particularly for me, since as you may know I've been calling for shakeups to various Nintendo series for years). Sounds as if it will go down a storm with Eurogamer!
  5. There's a nice article on Eurogamer about the history of the launches of all past Nintendo consoles. Fun little read.
  6. Would it? How do you know?
  7. If it's a hardware/signal blocking problem (as that video would suggest) then it could be unpatchable.
  8. Get it out for Binding of Isaac. As a Vita player I have not been able to play it with the Afterbirth+ DLC.
  9. The bolded is one of the stranger comments I've seen made on here in a while. Surely it's fairly clear from people's posts that they're expressing their own opinions on the matter? I find it odd that people spend so much time complaining about people complaining on here. We've literally just learned today that there's no launch VC - totally fair game to talk about. As is anything, really.
  10. It's about as hilarious as me complaining about public transport which I use and pay for anyway. Whatever makes you laugh though, I suppose. The Wii U was a joke day 1 and was a joke until the end. Everything about the console is a joke, but we will still bought it at some point anyway because of the software released for it. Saying not to buy a console because it has some features missing is silly, because ultimately you'd miss out on some pretty good games and suffer that way instead. Whether we buy it or not at launch doesn't really matter to Nintendo in the grand scheme/"sending a message" side of things, because even the Wii U did well at launch but bombed later down the line because of a variety of bad decisions. Nintendo also have a habit of not reducing their stuff by much, with some notable exceptions (the N64 and 3DS price drops early on), so it's not like it's even that much of a smart move to wait. May as well play Zelda in its best way and get a system that can play the future Mario game - but that doesn't mean you should be criticised for calling out poor moves they make.
  11. There are countless things I give money to every day; the idea that giving money precludes you from complaining about said thing is, frankly, ridiculous.
  12. I assume this is an attempt to be funny but in response to that - they obviously chose not to go with emulation on PS4 (at least initially) in order to pursue streaming (PS Now). As a counter point to this, on Vita you could download your previously purchased PS1 games and your PSP games D1 with the same account. Then there's the situation where Nintendo have loads of pre-3D era NES/SNES games which are very easy to emulate and could surely have been made ready for launch. Online is also far from sorted for the Switch, given they've announced the subscription thing is happening at some point later. It sounds as if they're still working things out.
  13. VC has been done at launch before, Wii and Vita are two recent examples. Given Nintendo have fuck all on the schedule for a while after Zelda and that we'll probably complete Zelda pretty quickly, you'd think getting this ready for launch would have been a priority. There's no excuse for not having the accounts/online side of things up for launch. Everyone else can do it.
  14. Nicknames aren't unique though. If I give myself the nickname of Link, you'd be searching through a long list. Given you can change your nickname at will, I can't see it being that they just add a number to the end of your nickname (since it can change at any time, and presumably the number after it).
  15. But how will you add friends if there aren't friend codes now? I would have thought the ID is the thing to search for people given it is unique for each person. Unless friend codes will still be a thing, which would be unmitigatedly shit.
  16. As far as I know this game is separate to the story of ME1-3 so you'd be pretty safe Flink.
  17. I know, annoying.
  18. Thanks, got it now. For some reason I thought you needed to create a Nintendo account to be able to use the services on the Switch. Didn't realise if you already had an NNID then you already had an account. It does ask you to change your password though if all you had was an NNID before it lets you register a user ID.
  19. So I have a NNID from previously, do I need to create a Nintendo Account for Switch (and register an ID)? I have now created a Nintendo account and registered ID. I already have an NNID, and when I logged in with my NNID I am greeted with an account (so I assume that there is an account there, and this is linked to my NNID which is why I couldn't assign my NNID to the Nintendo account I just created). Not sure what I'll need to log in on Switch. Do we know if it's the User ID that is the thing other people will see/contact you with? This is rather confusing - one tag for everything would be perfect!
  20. What's my Nintendo?
  21. I created a Nintendo account, made up an ID, then went to link my NNID and it says "another account has already been linked". Any ideas? I don't recall already having a Nintendo account...
  22. I think you'd be surprised, I reckon a lot of people are buying it knowing they'll get one anyway for future games like Mario etc, but Zelda is their reason to jump in right now.
