I also hope they don't. I love that they've done something different, and what they've done is better than what they had before.

This game is phenomenal. Like, genuinely one of the best games I have ever played good. Not overly far in the game in the grand scheme of things but I have put several hours in. It's just open world done right. Like they've scaled to a massive world yet in Wind Waker fashion there is something unique in every quadrant to seek out, which is something most other open world games don't do. Usually it's a case of copy-paste some feature or landmark across a large map and inundate the player with loads of icons to visit. Not here, no sir. Even getting into many shrines is quite different fairly often, never mind what goes on in the shrines. I can't get over what an amazing reinvention of Zelda this is. Like what kind of mad shit went down in a board room, what coke-fuelled epiphany happened, to lead to this end result...we'll probably never know. I would love them to do this kind of shit with some of Nintendo's other series too. All I can say is that Aonuma is king. Majora's Mask and then this is nothing short of sorcery. Fucking game of the generation right here.

I think they only need to sell about 5 copies to cover the cost of development of this game.

It does seem like you could probably take the chip and put it in something of your own making.

I think that's probably why I enjoyed it (and a lot of Xmen films). I don't really like most comic book films. Most of the time they feel poorly written and generally aimed at teenagers... This was actually great though, and really made me think back to all the films with Logan and Charles in. I do like as well that Logan actively seems to dislike the comics and being a superhero. It's like watching the story unfold through someone with similar thoughts on comics as a whole.

This game is fabulous. Well done Nintendo.

I also doubt they'll want to send them to people early either. They pretty much are Nintendo and Nintendo aren't going to want to break their own street date.

Very much looking forward to Stardew Valley and the multiplayer mode.

You mean the place where people were 'sure' they had an order because they put £50 down? Or just the online side of it? Amazon is saying "will dispatch March 2nd" and "arriving March 3rd" so as predicted, a launch day delivery.

I don't think they'll really care about the 3DS once this is out tbh. Would make no sense given this literally renders it obsolete. Most likely they are marketing Switch as a home console first and foremost (ie. screenshots with it behind the dock and a controller) since they are trying to position it as a serious console with big games and get more money for it. There's the danger where if your main marketing images show it out of the dock, people will think it's just the next handheld (since that's what it looks like), and people already have preconceptions about handheld games from Nintendo.

Two retail disc games in as many months. Good news for all - Tearaway is an excellent game.
