  1. I know rather little about RAM, and a bit of googling seemed to give me various different answers that I'm not sure what's true or not! So I came to the place I love and trust the most, you guys! When it comes to dual channel RAM, whats the worst things that can happen from having mixed RAM? Different brands, different sizes, different speeds etc? Will there always be a noticable effect? EDIT: Does the kind of RAM affect the mixings? Cos I'm talking about DDR2 SO DIMM here, for a laptop, which I gather is 200pin. All of which means nothing to me except making sure it fits.
  2. Makes alot more sense now, maybe cos I'm soberer too. I told them to join and PM you, they may or may not but that's their loss. Was meant to ask also, are there any bonus BISHes this time round? Like the original statues or other such things? I'm also holding this post here for some later BISHes.
  3. jay jay jay jay jay, terrible maths/date counting skills. 1st of june is like...4 days away, not 33. Second to that, I may know 1, if not 2, people who may well wish to take part but are in no way shape of form part of these forums...as yet. Can they still if they get some speedy join on and sort that shit right out?? Eenuh, stop being a wimp and making excuses. You excusey wimp! You practically won the christmas BISH! And I won the original BISH with tonnnns of work to do, so c'monnnn, be a (wo)mannnnnnn! We need a challenge!
  4. <Insert joke about large busts here>
  5. I believe that is the point, if you take the equilibrium/pivots of such a situation, you would be rotating anticlockwise/tiilting upwards in relation to the pivot, which gives rise to the logic of such controls. As for why I've always considered pads to have no handedness(and yes ive realised it's arguably been countered already since in this thread) is due to the lack of option on controls. If a control style is forced on a player, they have no other choice, were there some previously agreed industry standard for certain games/styles, we'd have none of this silly silllyness in which we are currently engaged. I absolutely refuse and find it hard to believe how any non symetrical system can have a handedness. Exempli gratiia Zelda on nes, snes, n64 and gamecube.
  6. Be awesome; Be my friend.

    (and, like, post more)

  7. Flawless Victory Greveson, flawless! Your strength was no match for my cat like speed and agility! http://rumdumcious.mybrute.com/fight/248641611
  8. I've always found the best way to combat cramp in the leg or foot is to just stand on said leg or foot!
  9. That's just due to your eye/brain's adjustments to the fast moving things in an attempt to keep focus on what matters. It lasts a little while afterwards until they readjust again, like those swirly swirl optical illusion tricks and that. Hey, let's play poker! Strip poker.
  10. I could have sworn I posted in here yesterday, grrr. I did read that somewhere before BlueStar, it's quite extraordinary for him to say such a thing, though he does make an argument that I use quite often. The more amusing thing it highlights, as the quote of Charlie Brooker pointed out too, is their claims of being so british when really they seem to sympathise more with the Nazis and their views rather than britain's!
  11. Ah, um, ahh, errr...that depends, how do you judge a Zelda? What is a good, and what is a bad, Zelda?
  12. Charcoal, yeah?? (whats a jumper pack? or did you mean expansion pack? this thread confuses!)
  13. They didn't come with any, some Acer thing on it prompted me to make my own for ages until I actually did it, to shut it up and for contingency. I reckon I'll clean this HDD up a bit and then whack some XP onto it once I have a nice amount of space free, and make sure my comp can boot from the HDD too. Sounds doable enough, and really for now I don't think I'll get too dependant on XP but if I do then I'll look to a more permanent SATA solution or something. Cheers for the advice Shorty, and everyone else!
  14. Read about it here; Anyone ever get that thing where you feel like something is crawling on you(i used to get it down my back alot when I was little, and various places now) when clearly there isn't? Always bothers me for ages, cos my paranoid arachnophobia starts to look for spiders, everywhere.
  15. I think I'd have to agree with Pooki on WW, I did feel it was lacking something compared to OoT and MM, though tbh the least zeldary of the games for me may well be Twilight so it's not as bad as it could be I remember that goron thing in MM! Man, I think I had to go and look it up online just how to do it, cos I was forever trying the steering thing too! Goron rolling is probably one of my favourite things from MM ! I might actually, actually, replay through this game again soon. Since I originally completed it on N64, I'm sure I've tried to replay it about 2 or 3 times, and I always fall off whilst doing side quests between the Goron.Snowhead Dungeon and the Water/Zora Dungeon, don't remember its proper name. Maybe I'll see in how many days I can 100% it!
  16. Woops, I'm few hours late, but a very merry happy birthday to you, hope you made it a spectacular one, Chair!
  17. You could probably just buy a variable DC power supply thing from Argos or something, just check the rating of the SNES/NES to make sure it's got a high enough current rating and you should be fine. It's less awesome than having an official power supply, but more awesome than potentially melting your consoles inside. EDIT: Actually I think Flameboy might be right, my SNES says it's 9V, 1.3A and so far the internet tells me the NES is the same rating. The SNES also says only to use it with 'NES-002-GBR' which makes me think that it is infact the same supply, but still check to be sure cos of all the different models/revisions, but as long as they're both european, all signs point to it being totally safe!
  18. I feel like voting for LttP Kakariko, but I think I'm biased to the music and the thrill of it being my first Zelda game with me having no idea what was going on in the game. Seriously, the best impulse buy of my life(cos the box was gold and had pretty pictures on the back, with the addition my dad just offered to buy me a game if I wanted and I was like 7). I think the music of cities has always done alot for me, too. I don't think I can pick a favourite though! Argh! Goron City, Kakariko(OoT and LttP), Clock Town, Market Town, Zora's Domain! The Lost Woods! Korkiri Woods! Whatever it is, it seems somewhere from OoT is winning for me
  19. It's strange to see the stuff that people tried, I remember seeing Nintendo's non-used prototype/ideas a while back, so intriguing! It does bug me when people describe pads as being left or right handed though, that's like saying a book's got handedness.
  20. The RIAA have been somewhat persistant in picking on the little guy when it comes to copyright infringement, and that's why this worries me. Admittedly, it might be insignificant for us Brits as I'm not sure how many people outside of the US they have brought cases against, but they are still bringing fresh cases even though they apparently stated that they were going to cease that practise. It's also been said that they might be working off evidence that might be a few years old now, and so to get all this information, well...who knows what they might do with it? Or how they might apply it to their existing cases/use it to bring new ones? All they'll need is one simple IP search in this new infromation, with the old 'infringing' IPs that they have, and they've got alot of new info they could potentially use. EDIT:Coincidentally, an article about them and their cases is front page on Slyck atm - http://www.slyck.com/story1853_Who_is_Still_Being_Sued_by_the_Music_Industry
  21. This is how I first read that, was rather shocked for a minute and intrigued at what peculiar body sensation was to follow.
  22. I get the darndest feeling I'm gonna know the answer you guys'll give to this question, but if I wanted to get a t-shirt made(say just a one off) where would you guys suggest I do it? Basically somewhere that'd be kinda cheap(£10ish), and would let me stick a simple image from my comp onto a t-shirt.
  23. Coolness Bears, are you a BISH or BISHer? Come join the thread in the playground and BISH with us all!

  24. PM'd! Also, shouldn't you unsticky the other BISH thread? You also owe Eenuh a prize at the meet, I just counted the pictures in my boredom and declare her a winner with a fantastic 21 BISHes! Letty came in a close 2nd with 17 BISHes, and everyone else's attempts just didn't compare. There had best not be any poor attempts this time round!
