I think this thread just goes to show how much more badass names used to be. People used to (presumably) take a look at their child and say: "He looks to me like a Lord of the Meek Thunder Seeker" and then that would be their name. Now we have to hide behind thousands of years of mistranslation and mispellings to name our children Terrific Badger Lust or whatever.

My real name means 'He who adds' whatever that means. bob apparently means 'bright fame' which just doesn't sound like me at all. Good thing it ain't my real name.

Personally, i believe any time in December is ok, and i would usually do it the second week in December. However, i have my girlfriend to contend with, who is like a Christmas tsunami. It's all you can do to just keep your head above water. Ours went up on the 24th November, and i think she would have had it up sooner had she not needed my help to carry it home from Homebase.

Yes well i was going to restrict it to European address anyway to try and make the postage costs fairer (sorry Rest of the World!). I had this idea to sort out a Secret Santa for N-Europe, where anyone who wants to puts their name (and address) into a hat, and then you send something random to each other (hadn't decided whether you know who you're sending to, or whether you just get an address). Unfortunately i think i may have had the idea too late...

Yeah, he dropped a massive hint during filming that he won't be doing it for much longer (don't know if it will make it into the show though), which is a relief for me i think. As much as i love TV burp, i think it got a bit stagnant. I feel if i went back and watched loads of the stuff i liked as a kid, i wouldn't find it as funny now. Bill Bailey is another comedian who seems to have gone downhill a bit. As much as i like him, his past couple of tours have been going downhill. His best so far has been Bewilderness, followed by Cosmic Jam and then Part Troll, then Tinselworm etc. Tinselworm was a bit crappy to be honest.

I'm not really into music, but i was watching a Walkers crisps advert and came across this song by this band called 'Queen'. It's really good.

They do a couple of 'best of' dvds, and i'll probably buy them in a bundle at some point, but there are so many jokes that i enjoyed that didn't make it into the best of, probably a bit of OCD coming through, but i would like to have all the episodes if i could. Never mind.

I would have to agree with you about TV Burp, the earlier series were much better..... HOWEVER, i went to see the filming of TV Burp yesterday (episode to be screened this Saturday folks!) and Harry Hill himself is a genuinely funny man still, all the stuff he does between filming was brilliant, and often far funnier than what made it into the show. I just hope that whatever he does next will be alot better. I wish i could buy the entire TV burp series on dvd or something, but i suspect there are licensing issues?
