Thought Dredd was brill. Thinking about getting Raid now if it's similar, see if i like it too. EDIT: Here is a cheap deal for the Dredd Blu ray.

Aha! I found you Rummy! And no, I didn't have a microphone which was why I was so very stoic. Good games though! Couldn't work out why people weren't running for the weapons around the map until I realised that presumably they spawn with whatever weapons they want most anyway... still, meant more sniper rifles for me!

Have you ever got emotional over any books, shows, movies, games or music?
bob replied to Beast's topic in General Chit Chat
I was reading through this thread thinking - nope, nope, nope, nope - and wondering whether i was some sort of emotional robot who didn't cry at anything. Then i got to Pikachu's Goodbye. Yep. Ruined me. -
Well i'm using a optical drive caddy which should adapt the Sata 3 SSD to the IDE connection from my Bluray drive. Will probably give rubbish speeds, but i though that once it's all sorted i could simply swap the SSD with the HDD and get SATA 2 (i think) speeds from my normal hard drive slot and leave the HDD in the caddy to store files on. I think i'm going to try and clone my OS across rather than start afresh. Obviously not the best method, but i don't want to mess anything up!

Of course we have winter tyres! We just have highly polished roads. It's very silly. Attempted to come home from campus today at 12, after they issued a severe weather warning. After waiting for a bus for over an hour, getting a lift, walking a couple of miles, and then finally hitching a lift with the most awesome taxi driver who gave us and a couple of other randomers (for free!) we finally got home 3 hours later. Snow is hell. Still, bought a sleigh on the way home for the weekend!

Just wait until the queuepocalypse starts. Then we'll have our moment in the sun.

I didn't think it looked like either.....either, but meh. Every spec sheet i can find for my laptop and that Blu ray drive mentions Pata, so i went for that. If it doesn't fit i'll have to just try again! I found this article which looks like it will be very useful, and should allow me to migrate onto my new SSD without having to reinstall windows! http://lifehacker.com/5837543/how-to-migrate-to-a-solid+state-drive-without-reinstalling-windows

How do you guys pick teams to follow (if indeed you do)?

Well i've gone and bought it now. I assumed the connection was a PATA/IDE, so we'll see how that goes... I bought a Samsung 840 120GB SSD, which seems to be a good one.....

Bubble burst..... Yeah i considered that, but i had a good smattering of level 20's and a couple of level 45s and higher. I did better than all but two of them. First impressions are good though.

Managed to play 1 game of this just now - couldn't see you Rummy, either that or you're a massive LIAR. Anyway, played one game, thought i would be rubbish, having not played 4 before and i was fucking amazing. Killed 15, died 3 times. Our team thrashed theirs. My first kill was an assassination, second was taking out a ghost with a sniper rifle. Feels good man. Will probably never have as good a game as that. Might as well stop playing now...

I actually added you about three months ago......but the request is still pending I kid, i'm not actually crying - i'm above all that. I'm KwetlaJ

Sometimes a funny video is so subtle it requires multiple viewings to pick up on all the nuances. That's not one of them obviously, but still...

My friend and I completed this just before Christmas and have started the second run through. Taking us aaaaaaaaages as we only get to play a bit once a week, and this is a looooong game if you're trying to complete everything. Bought the DLC pack as well way at the beginning, so we've got all that to go through once we've reached lvl 50!

Yeah i've an external drive i can use, but it's not the files in particular i'm worried about - most of my stuff is backed up anyway. The thing i'm worried about is programs i need for work which are all set up correctly (Matlab/Fortran etc) which could take a while to get back working again. So i was wondering if i could keep all that stuff working on the HDD while setting up the SDD. However talking about it now makes it seem like a horrendously stupid question. It's bound to fail. Incidentally, does anyone know what connection this is? It looks like SATA but it seems too small...

Whatever game he plays in he makes everyone look like schoolboys. I'm saying he's old. My Fantasy Football Team are still saying Kompany got a red card, when it got rescinded. I want my 3 points back dammit!

Right so i'm procrastinating my thesis, and was wondering about whether this was possible. I've seen a few websites, and they all seem to think it's a good idea. My girlfriend got me a blu-ray player for my birthday, so the blu-ray drive on my laptop is now uneccessary. i was thinking about removing it and replacing it with a SSD... Because i don't want my laptop to be out of action while i'm doing it, i was thinking about putting the SSD in the optical bay and maybe installing windows 7 on it (whilst keeping the HDD running). Then when i'm sure it's up and running, i could transfer stuff across? That probably wouldn't work would it...can you have two drives with OS's on both? All the articles i've read recommend putting the SSD in the original hard drive enclosure and putting the now spare HDD in the optical bay, but that would require wiping everything and starting afresh, and i can't really afford to do that right now. Has anyone tried anything like this?

Surely Jim would win that one?

Yeah it's weird when it's the other way around. The thing was, in my mind i could see some people oddly shuffling towards the camera, and so i assumed they were old people dancing to the song. Turns out i was remembering people pretending to walk forwards while walking backwards.
-
Yeah i did look there Ashley, but to no avail. Instead, i played that damn song on repeat for the last 5 hours to try and jog my memory. And it worked: I'm glad it's something like that and not from some embarrassing porn or something.
-
Right so i heard this song a while ago, and i know it isn't the first time i've heard it. But i can't for the life of me remember where i am remembering it from. (check me out i done a youtube video right) Now i know it isn't: 500 days of summer Step Brothers Wedding Singer The Office I vaguely remember it may be some sort of lip dub video, or possibly a wedding proposal. Or a flash mob? Does anyone know of any famous viral videos that used that song? I'm tearing my hair out! (I'm not)
