Man, the pacing of the seasons for My Hero Academia is so weird. They always seem to have a story arc which seems to climax on the penultimate episode, and then the final episode is just the classmates having a meal together, or planning a party or some shit. It's so bizarre.

Show is out now! Well, the first three episodes. I'm loving it! So far it's holding up really well for me as a book reader, and my non-reader wife is enjoying it too.

Went to see Dune a week or so ago and was pleasantly surprised. Wasn't expecting much (thought the book was ok, but nothing more), but was blown away by the atmosphere of the whole thing. Some of the cinematography + Hans Zimmer was just so mesmerising, I've been buzzing to see it again ever since.

Anyone watched Arcane? Binged the first 7 episodes yesterday while off work looking after my sick son, and I'm really enjoying it. I've never played League of legends, but that doesn't seem to matter? I don't know if I'm missing out on anything... The animation is incredible - better than Pixar's output over the last few years. The art style is so good as well, you could pause the show at any point and every frame is almost literally a painting. The writing is a bit clichéd, but that's one of the few downsides so far.

Sadly, last night we had to have one of our guinea pigs put to sleep. He apparently had failing kidneys, and he wasn't going to last much longer. He had a good life though - 5 and a half is a good age for a pig. Rest in peace Ginger Ninja.

That's because Kate is Shang Chi's personality. She has all charm and character that he lacks. Together they make up a complete superhero.

I agree. You get a lot of his backstory, but by the end of the film you don't really know anything about Shang Chi - he doesn't really have a personality. I also thought that the end was a bit disjointed from the rest of the film.

I really wish I hadn't watched that. Want to go in as blind as possible, but I can't restrain myself!

Is the issue that they used SubD to increase the number of polygons? Other than not checking the nut, isn't that what SubD is for? They aren't going to remake every single model from scratch, so is this not a legitimate way of improving the models for a remaster? I'm not a game developer, but I don't really see that its all that lazy.

Bought one of these bad boys I can't believe I didn't consider getting one sooner. It's amazing. It dries a full load of washing in a few hours, and the clothes actually smell nice afterwards! It pulled several litres of water out of our dining room that was just hanging about in the air. It's crazy! It's a bit bulky though, and a bit annoying lugging it around the house, but I'm hoping that I won't have to run it all that often (other than to dry washing).

That massive peak at 21 must be something else. There can't be a huge amount of 21 year olds compared to other ages. Maybe everyone selecting year 2000 as their birth year for some reason? Or young people saying they're 21 to get past gambling laws?

Of all the bizarre Nintendo decisions over the last few years, this one is perhaps the most mindboggling. Why put a time limit on the sale of your game? Fair enough for a physical release, but it literally costs you nothing to keep selling the digital version?!

That still doesn't seem like very many. 150 pallets for the whole of Europe? Maybe they're concerned about their carbon footprint.

It might just be a more aggressive vs defensive style? With lots of dodging around before attacking, you might draw out your fights a fair amount. I was also pretty slow, most of mine were 25-30 mins.

I gave the demo a go, but it really wasn't for me. I hate side-scrollers, and this didn't have enough other mechanics in it to distract me from the fact that it was one.

I'm intrigued that this has a demo. It really isn't my type of game at all, but given all the praise it's been getting, I really want to give it a try. When I'm back home with my Switch I'll download the demo.
