I finished King of Cards yesterday. A very entertaining campaign, the levels are a bit smaller and every level has one new element/gimmick it introduces but that makes it perfect to pick up and play. Plague of Shadows still needs to be played, but I have the same issue as @drahkon, his moves and playstyle are just not as good as Shovel/Spectre/King.

Merry Christmas all! It's been a busy couple of months for me, as we bought a house in October and have been renovating it since. Working a full-time job and doing renovations in the weekends/evenings was quite exhausting, but the result is great. We moved our stuff over last Saturday, and had to hand in keys to our rental place on Monday. So before we were well settled in it was already Christmas eve and we drove to my parents. Went home last night and had some time to relax in our new house (watched Die Hard) and today is just unboxing more stuff until my parents in law come over for diner. We said no big gifts so I didn't get much, but I had a lot of help with moving and renovation from my parents so me and my brother (who also had a lot of help from them with babysitting) decided they deserved a bigger gift this year so we got them a nice full-automatic coffee maker, the type where you can put whole beans in. They weren't expecting that so that was fun! I'm just glad moving is over, still a lot to do but at least everything is in the new house so it's all mostly polish and unboxing. Not a bad way to start 2020!

Yes, that has about the same impact as dividing stuff by zero so no wonder the forum crashed. OT: apparently the new generation is simply called "XBox" and the series X is one of the models they are releasing. I still think we will also see an XBox series S and maybe an XBox series C(loud). Want 4K 120Hz? Get an X. Want 4K 60Hz? Series S. Only use project XCloud? Get the C streaming box.

I read on their Twitter that they are first focussing on something else, but will definitely return to Shovel Knight later on but not for now. So I'm really curious to see what they are coming up with next.

I'm guessing this is the more powerful "Anaconda" and the "Lockhart" will be a more compact model shown later down the line. Interesting though, it really is a mini-pc like this. That is promising for its power, but I really wonder what this thing is going to cost.

The PC/console version is pushed back a little to Spring 2020, as well as Arcade version part 2. Ah well, I can wait as long as it results in a better polish. Although it's strange that they need more time while part 1 is already out there.

Yeah same here, but I think it can be mostly avoided if you don't enjoy it. The gameplay itself is spot on though, I like the dash and spin mechanism. Love King Knight as well, how he thinks he's the big shot and the way he conversates with his mom. I'm close to finishing the first boss now, can't wait to play more of it. Tried Showdown for a bit as well, was expecting it to be online but I guess it's only local multiplayer? May dive in the story mode after finishing King of Cards.

Do what I'm doing, and just go to sleep in the middle of the night and read the summaries the next morning. I'm curious though what awards Nintendo may pick up besides the family one. I think Smash Ultimate as best fighter is well deserved and gives Sakurai the credit he deserves. GOTY may be a longshot though judging the competition.

Nothing much for me this time, except Axiom Verge 2 but that seems to be quite far away still. I'm downloading Dauntless now as I want to check it out, but I'm afraid it won't stand up to the likes of Monster Hunter.

I'm updating Treasure Trove right now, so I'm guessing the update is finally here!

Hmm, haven't experienced this myself, it does indeed sound like it disconnects for a moment. You can try to update the controller firmware (https://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/26321/~/how-to-update-the-controller-firmware).

The only Halo game I have ever played is Spartan Assault, but I don't think that counts. I should pick up the Master Chief collection soon though, it feels like a series you should at least play once. I did get a Steam Controller though, picked it up in the sale. Also bought Shadow of the Tomb Raider, and I started that this weekend. Played through my Steam Link with my Steam Controller on my TV with PC graphics, gotta love the 21st century! I loved what they did with the Tomb Raider reboot, and the start of Shadow continues that feeling. I did have to tone down the graphics slightly, but the game still looks amazing. The Controller though did not convince me yet. I think I need to try some games which better benefit the two touch circles, but for SOTT it just is not great.

I started it yesterday. Never played a Gargoyle's Quest/Demon's Crest game, but I did play Super Ghouls & Ghosts. Graphically it really reminds me of SG&G so it felt familiar. I've played three levels and so far have not encountered any dealbreakers, except for the dipping frame rate. What I miss here (and I guess that it's something from the time of instruction booklets) is that the game does not tell you that you have to equip items or alternate forms you pick up.

So with max raiding in the wild area, how does it exactly work with friends? I noticed @Glen-ijoining me a lot, do you get a pop up that one of your friends is raiding? By the way, nice nickname for your Obstagoon, I was going to do the same

Oh, no worries, I'm not blaming you. I already saw the thumbnail on YouTube, plus I already saw the Sobble final stage from someone liking something on Twitter. The game is out, and I also don't want to black out for a month so I can catch up with it. It's just hard to be surprised these days. In fact, I see the contrary in the comments on YouTube and people would have wanted to see the final stages before the games came out because now "they picked the ugly one". Guess you can just never do it right

Well, I didn't see the final evolutions yet for the starters so thanks Pokémon YT channel for elaborately putting them in the video and even in the thumbnail. Yeah I know, the game has been out for almost 2 weeks now but still, would've been fun finding it out in the actual game. So far for my old person rant.

Arthur would be epic. With different movesets for different armour levels, and a serious debuff when fighting in your underwear. If it's going to be Capcom I'm guessing Amaterasu or Dante.
