Happenstance

Been a while since I last joined in the fantasy league so I'm in.

I think I will get myself an Xbox Series X. I fancy having the PS5 for its exclusives that I actually buy for myself then the Xbox as basically a gamepass machine. That was gonna be my PC but that's now moved into the office so won't get as much use with gaming and the Steam Deck I play other kinds of games on. I did think about just using PS Plus Extra with my PS5 but while the library is good, it's not quite there yet. Plus if there's anything I like the look of I can still just buy it.

I really wish I could enjoy this more but the PvP stuff just got way too annoying. Never felt like I was making any progress before I got attacked yet again.

Ok I bought the Kotor bundle. This Is all on you @Hero-of-Time if I barely end up playing it (which has never once happened with a Switch title )

Few years ago now. The Xbox wouldn't just be for Kotor though so I'd hope I wouldn't feel like it was wasted money regardless. Just wish they'd announced more coming soon. We see all these acquisitions then nothing to show for it.

I was planning on replaying it with my Steam Deck but I'd forgotten that the PC version was keyboard and mouse only and I can't be bothered to either configure something useable or mod in controller support. The big debate at the moment is basically I either get the Xbox and Gamepads as I a!ready own Kotor there or PS Plus Extra & Kotors on Switch. Cheaper the second route but the few exclusives on Xbox would be nice to play.

If I bother getting it I'll probably just watch a recap video. Thanks guys.

Do you need to have played the first 2 games to get into 3?

Did anyone play the Kotor release on Switch? Currently fighting the urge to buy an Xbox Series X to play my copy so the Switch version currently on sale might be a cheaper option 😂

How do external hard drives work with the Series X? Is it like the PS5 where you can play older gen games directly from them but current gen has to be played from the internal or proper expansion hard drives?

I wonder if part of it has anything to do with The Flash movie and their worries about that. With Michael Keaton in both they seem to be linked.

Always liked Grant Gustin as Barry Allen. It's just a shame that the show went to shit about 3 seasons in.

I'm not at the point yet where I'm willing to start watching WWE again but I'm keeping more of an eye on it now that Vince has gone. If it looks like things are actually picking up then I might finally resub.

Yeah I've got it pre-ordered. I've got the main event in trade and I read the Spider-man tie ins as they were coming out but that was it so it'll be nice to read the rest.

I can only assume it's because it's the lead-in to Heroes Reborn and became more of a Marvel universe event but yeah, my trades of it still sit in the X-men section of my bookcase and not with the other Marvel event books.

I've given up on modern X-men again. I caught up with the Hickman trades and the first book after he left but I just don't enjoy this new status quo.

@Hero-of-Time did you ever read the X-men Inferno event (the original)? I'm just looking at ordering this month's omnibus' and thought I might finally get some X-men ones to start replacing my trades. I've never read Inferno before as any if the demon/limbo side of X-men didn't interest me but I know it's a big story.

@Ashley These arrived today so I've had a few hours to play around with them. So far they seem really good. Nice and comfortable, strong bluetooth signal with no disconnects and walking around my house the signal stayed constant, the multipoint is working well and it's bouncing between my phone and laptop no problem. The only things I think they lack in (at least in comparison to my Sonys) is ANC and audio customisation. The ANC is still very good but I'd gotten used to the crazy amounts that the Sony would block out and I would just like to see some kind of equaliser options available for them in the future because at the moment there's nothing. As I know the original Pixel Buds and last year's Pixel Buds A at least have Bass Boost I assume it will be coming to these in a future update. The audio quality itself is good but just a little flat maybe. EDIT: Oh and one last thing I just realised I agree with after watching someone's youtube review is that while the fit is comfortable, because the bud design doesn't have too many defining features to it, it can be a bit hard to line everything up correctly in your ear straight away which can affect the seal etc. Hopefully just something I'll get used to with time.

I need to try and find the breakdown Giant Bomb did on how game pass works at some point. It might have been an interview on a podcast but I remember it being a good explanation on how it worked and what benefit it actually gave devs.
