Happenstance

Well it's working in the desktop mode but not when linked into the basic gaming mode that I'd prefer to launch it from so I'll probably just leave it for now and rebuy it when it's next on sale.

To be honest that's where I was hoping I'd rebought it for that very reason. Other than emulators I haven't added any other non-steam games to my Deck yet so now seems as good a time as any to test it.

Just need to remember where I own it now. I know I got it free with Twitch Prime but I have a feeling I bought it on another platform as well for easier access.

I might have to go back and play some more of The Messenger myself, such a good game and an amazing soundtrack.

To be honest I wonder more and more these days if we need two console gaming sections, especially if we are gonna be forced to talk about any game that has a Nintendo release in the Nintendo section of the forum. The forum is much quieter than it used to be so merging the two sections probably wouldn't hurt.

Always meant to play these so it's great to see them coming out again.

It depends on the game and the extent of the mods. Main ones I've used over the years have been for Skyrim, Star Trek Bridge Commander and the Persona 4 Golden last year. Oh and I did try a load of the realistic graphics mods on GTA V which were pretty impressive.

I need to take a look and see what kind of modding scene the Yakuza games have on PC these days.

From what I've heard it's just one of those calming games you can zone out to. I think a lot of people use it in co-op as kind of a background game to play while chatting with friends.

I'd love to see them announce some jrpgs coming to gamepass. It's sorely lacking in that department.

Thought I might post an update on this as I did manage to get Amazon to send out a replacement after the fuck up in my previous post. Despite actually really liking the second screen for multi tasking I don't think I would buy a laptop in this style again. The mouse pad location is less of an issue than I thought but the keyboard is just way too low to be comfortable. I'm typing on it now and I wouldn't be able to do too much writing before I had to stop. Got to pull my hands back too far and leave them in uncomfortable positions. I'll be sticking with the laptop for a year or so unless I manage to find someone who wanted to buy it but I'd have to go back to a regular keyboard position in the future. Such a shame as well as I love interesting technology that mixes things up and this certainly does that. It's one of the reasons I love my foldable phone so much as well.

I really should get back to Judgement at some point. I started it when it first came out then dropped off.

New omnibus day. Been ages since I read Brightest Day. Bit of a wasted event really as most things they introduced immediately became obsolete as soon as Flashpoint hit.

I never read a lot of Thunderbolts. Need to check what my lineup was. Ok apparently it was Norman Osborn, Bullseye, Gargan Venom, Songbird, Penance and a few others.

I think for me I always appreciated them and went to see all of them at the cinema but I've never been much of a fantasy guy so it didn't go much beyond that. One thing that will always get me hooked though is a well built universe which is why I love things like Star Trek and Mass Effect so much. Then with things like Star Wars and now LOTR I'm allowing myself to look deeper than the surface level stuff and beginning to enjoy their universes as well.

I don't know why I'm so in the mood for Lord of the Rings lately but I really am. Got the 4k trilogy boxset arriving tomorrow, Shadow of Mordor downloading to my Steam Deck and am currently reading Fellowship of the Ring for the first time. I guess I'm interested in the show and wouldn't mind all the extra context for it.
