Back to the Future really should be made part of a worldwide school curriculum as required watching. It's so good.

Anyone read the Chainsaw Man manga? Just been looking for recommendations and it's been coming up a lot.

It'll be interesting to see if this happens with anything else. We already know about the Quest 2's price going up so it's possible more companies will feel the need, especially now that they won't have to be the first.

Supposed to have roughly 2 months to work on the new school year timetable as I have never done it before and have no knowledge of how it works in regards to the school. It's now a week and a half before the start of term and I still haven't received it. Fucking joke.

What's the availability like these days? Because I got one at launch I never really kept up with it.

Thank god. I've found previously when I meet people like you who disgust me this much that Indiana Jones tends to also be missing from their movie history.

My favourite would be Back to the Future but Ghostbusters is damn close.

Yeah, something like Jurassic Park is a perfect example of this. The mixture of CGI and animatronics still holds up today in comparison to much newer CGI only movies.

I enjoyed Burnout Paradise at the time but never really managed to shake the feeling that I would have preferred a more linear racing game like it's predecessors.

Please start a thread where you watch these movies and we will gladly talk to you about them for hours.

The one thing I have noticed now is that there's a trend starting to bring back practical effects and use them in concert with CGI. Star Wars productions seem to have been a good example of this and it's something I'm happy to see happening.

CGI has gotten very impressive over the years but I'll still always prefer prosthetics, squibs, models etc in my movies.

God I miss 80s movies. It's like that entire decade was a genre to itself.

I think the PC still does quite well for them. Games like Project Cars have come to consoles but are still bigger on PC. iRacing is big as well.

I miss being young and watching stuff I shouldn't have been 😆 I remember watching Robocop and being scarred for life when he's gunned down!

Storage is always the issue isn't it. I've got a relatively nice Hotas for my PC but nowhere easily accessible to store it so it goes in the wardrobe and never comes back out again.

It'd have to be a reboot if they tried it again, I think the Alien prequels have now messed up their timeline. To be honest Predator 2 probably has issues now with the alien skull as well.

I think if you ignore the AvP movies then I would says The Predator is probably the only dud of the lot. It's surprisingly consistent.

I was about to say I missed dumb stuff like that but then it hit me that the plastic instrument phase was just that and that got ridiculous by the end.

Yeah @Goafer has/had the Steel Battalion controller and it was pretty awesome. Think it was just a controller that needed to work with a lot more games as pulling it for just the one was a bit much given the size.

Was it Predator 2 that this links with? I know one of them we see an older weapon (possibly the pistol not Aubrey Plaza has at the end) which is explained as having been a gift after a big Predator battle.

I had a chance to buy that controller a few years ago and still regret not doing it.
