Pretty sure admins can read those (Just pretend his hat is tinfoil) I have never noticed the lick before this.... Can't say I have much to add to this thread. I've read the whole thing (post 154) but I just don't post nearly as much these days as I use to. (3 times in 2014...) I stay out of the Nintendo board thread for the most part because they do feel toxic. Less discussion and more arguing. It makes it hard to even want to join in and post anything in an established thread. I definitely disagree with some of the attitude I've seen here, such as the suggestion that people who don't own (or have played) a console or game can't discuss it or be critical of it. Isn't that essentially what we all do pre-release especially during the E3 time of the year? Post-release, we can still make informed posts without having played. However shit-posting shouldn't be allowed and it's a fine line. Start throwing out infractions, and when those don't work switch to infarctions. (I'm so punny)

Yeah, there is a reason it's the only one that stayed exclusive to the Gamecube....It's just not very good.

Because the annoying ginger shield selflessly protected you.

Happy birfday. And just remember it's not rape if they like it

Maybe go similar to the New3DS. A more powerful console with similar aspects to the other two, but essentially the same and with full support for the older games. Only thing is it just splinters the userbase and gets confusing as to who can play what. Or gets largely ignored like the New 3DS...how many games require it so far? I think backwards compatibility will be in, but just on a bullshit guess of the current hardware is basically a SoC CPU GPU and eDRAM share one small PCB. Otherwise they run into the same issue of architecture... Eh who knows. I'm too old to care anymore, when it comes if I like it I'll buy it.

I just have a hard time believing that. 5 million is a lot of copies. Let's do some math: Being stupid, 5,000,000*$60=$300,000,000(sorry using US here) More conservative for sales and price drops 5,000,000*$40=$200,000,000 Being beyond conservative 5,000,000*$20=$100,000,000 That's a lot of money. Even assuming averaging the cost out to each copy only being $20 (which with around 3 million copies selling in the first month not including digital.....it's a low number.) So I'd guess somewhere between 150-300 million dollars gross. If they didn't turn some sort of profit they're fucking up somewhere. Games are getting more expensive sure, but smaller studios are doing games that look just as good and are just as immersive for a lot less money. It seems more to me that studios like to call games a failure if they don't reach the absurd sort of numbers Call of a Duty puts up rather than if the game was profitable or not. I think the typical language used is "Did not meet/failed to meet sales expectations." Which is spun as unprofitable failure. And if they are all truly losing such money on these massive games and the ballooning budgets, a crash is inevitable for AAA publishers. Unless something changes. As an aside, I wonder how many Definitive Editions they sold as well.... I'm sure that didn't hurt.

The man is a national treasure. Also he's said they probably won't delete our save files this time because they like to do new things....but its early in development so it might happen.

Gears of War: "Don't-call-it-a-Remaster" Ultimate Edition
Nolan replied to Dog-amoto's topic in Other Consoles
Can't wait for this to hit PC. And the news of that makes a small rumor of Halo MCC coming to PC feel a little more likely. And then all my reasons for an Xbone gone. Gears 1 was always the most solid of the series. Never got to play online much though since I didn't have money for gold....or a 360. Loved it when I did play it the few times before the community died down. I still remember some tense wins, solo against 3 on a team and pulling a win out of thin air with the gnasher and lucky dodge rolling. -
I've been playing THPSHD the last few days and was just thinking a real sequel would be nice. Honestly it doesn't look great, but it doesn't look bad either. The main point for me is, will it be fun and feel as good to play as the originals? And secondly will there be enough content. Graphics just need to be serviceable as far as I'm concerned. However, it really does look like they just took THPSHD and jazzed it up a tiny bit, you'd expect more effort than that. Everything looks so flat compared to Skates textures (though different camera angles, different focuses).

Yeah it was waaaay to long. Some nice tidbits came out of it but nothing great. It was their very first though so I can see it improving. Best moment was when the host slammed what is likely a $1300+ GPU on the table.

Coming to PC as well.
-
Missed a decent bit of the show already. Killer Instinct is coming to Win 10 though with console crossplay. Now they're talking same thing for Fable Legends. Gears of War Ultimate Edition coming to PC as well American Truck Simulator by the guys that did Eurotruck simulator. Pillars of Eternity expansion announced. The White March Guild Wars 2 expansion announced as well. HALF LIFE 3 http://valve.software Second rotation on the banner. Not on my mobile so it might be down already.

Awesome, the first game was great. Can't wait to see what new player hating punishment Taro Yoko comes up with for us.
-
I haven't followed it much, but they are definitely trying to make it more like CoD than Halo. It has Aiming down the Sights now ffs. And no splitscreen co-op either.
-
Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh cool I guess. I'll happily play it, but was never something I clamored for personally. (Now if it was FFVI ....)
-
Enslaved+Last of Us? Yeah I can throw money at that. Though I've yet to be wow'd by Guerrilla's gameplay personally. Average affairs with a lot of flair.

What's truly insane is something I found out just last week that MS still sells wireless controllers that take batteries and sell a rechargable upgrade kit for $25....Which by the way includes this latest model. Fucking obscene they get away with this. Sony had it in 2006 and even Nintendo's main controller is now rechargable. I wonder...if MS made a handheld they'd probably require a couple 9-volts and have a $30 upgrade.
-
Yeah I know, but I could be hopeful.

Star Wars Battlefield. But it looks good. Didn't see any ground to space combat though....
-
No, I don't think anyone is saying that. Your bad puns are poorly timed I say good day, sir!
-
Wait...what? Download not install? Put in the disc and then have to download a game you obviously own at that point? That's a bit ridiculous, as oppose to say...downloading the necessary parts for the game to run. The discs are DVDs so I'd assume the Xbone can read them.

I think that was the moment it really hit him. He seemed a bit less nervous when he first took the stage.
-
You didn't even mention the adorably nervous man playing with Yarnie. He looked about 2 minutes from a heart attack.
-
Looked uninteresting to me, cute but ultimately meh. I'm not up for a shared world adventure game either though.
