On the other hand i cant deny sligth pride in that the sport has found fans in europe. So cheers to that. Do you go full merican and get into NCAA college footbal though? Guys at work tdo and its the silliest damn thing oto me. Arguing about these kids (teens and early 20s!) playing and earning a degree breaking this bodies and the school makes millions. Ahhh well, go blue. Football anecdote. Sophomore and Junior year (10th and 11th) I rode my horse out on the field at the start of home highschool games. Semj mascot moral thing. I started it the year after a close friend passed away kn a car accident. I wore his jersey when i rode ar the fames. Fames games. He died the day after mothers days ANYWHO that’s a thing I did. Never stated for the fames but oh well. The very last game I rode at my fucking saddle looosened up and slide 90 degrees and I feel landinf hard on my bip. Good times falling off a horse in front of most theschool haha.

That’s uhhh. Thats one helluva quote there. Might even fall under libel.

NFL as in like the US football? That’s just sad. Watch a good sport instead. Like Hockey. Red Wings managed a freakin shutout today. 4-0.

Well frankly he’s both racist and xenophobic. And he sadly represents a large subset of the US population. It’s a “we got ours, fuck the rest” mindset, it’s also a mindset that the US is the greatest country in the world. Freedom this freedom that, unless you disagree with my idea of freedom, then I just hope you die. Locked in a political civil war where we can’t even have a reasonable discussion. Frankly I kind of hate this place and it’s jingoist bullshit. I work with, hell am related to the types of idiots that voted trump and think he’s the bees knees making America great again. Their ideal of whats great is skewed though, they have this image of Cold War America. Economically viable, anyone can get a job at a real wage and buy two cars and a house. I don’t think we can ever reach that ideal again. Not with the way the world works. I feel like I’m ranting in a non-conducive manner. So I’ll stop there.

Arguably, calling a country a shithole is in fact criticizing the country. He didn’t go into detail, so of course he isn’t going to cite human rights or economies. The racist part is him assuming that people from those countries are inherently bad. And that is him being a bigoted racist. Look on a citywide scale instead. Most cities definitely have bad neighborhoods. Plenty of people describe the areas as being shitty, and they aren’t really wrong. It’s not about the race of the residents. It’s about the area. Detroit is a shithole, I still know great people that live there. Flint is a shithole. Very poor and can’t even get clean water, still has good people living there.

I agree with MindFreak, I don’t see it as entirely a race thing. Now I wholly believe that trump is racist. He was probably being racist to a great extent, but I’d like to believe it’s an infrastructure thing more than a race thing. People from countries that can’t get their act together. (Never mind the fact that many countries are purposely destabilized by other “nonshithole” countries).

This console really is such a righteous piece of shit. I don’t know how anyone uses it as a primary or only console. The simple act of turning it on and logging in and accessing my games list took multiple tries and console resets culminating in about 15 minutes before doing a cold boot from unplugging it. Then lo and behold Mass Effect 2 was moved from the Queue to the Games list (makes sense I downloaded it a week ago) but when I start it...well it was only 53% finished. The asinine system just decided it couldn’t be bothered with actually fucking finishing the download it claimed to finish. 4 years in and this OS still feels like an unfinished Beta. I hate that most my posts in here are so negative but where the fuck are the positives?! And I have tried to like the system, I’ve spent enough damn money on it multiple times now. Oh I’ve got one positive. It downloads quickly unlike anything Sony. Up 20% (of a 13.23GB game) in the time it took to type this. Edit: my issues at startup were that I wasn’t logged in. Multiple tries and restarts needed just to sign in and even then it would only partially sign in. And no my internet is not to blame as everything else was fine at the time. I finally unplugged it (twice, first time the controller forgot how to turn on the system) and it worked as advertised another edit. Another positive. It should have occurred to me earlier but Microsofts efforts into backwards compatibility have been fucking stellar. From none to some with restrictions to single disc, to multi disc games to OG Xbox games they have shamed everyone else. Yeah it’s not perfect or all inclusive of the available games. But it’s a fuck load better than the Switches nothing, and PS4s rebuy it on PS4 if it has a rerelease and paltry PS2/1 offerings (still a repurchase.) new year new me I’m being positive with my negativity. Also there is no new me.

Current rumors are saying that there are plans to bring across 2 and 3 to the Switch as well. I’m probably going to end up getting this on PS4 and Switch. I played but never got terribly far into the game on PC. I do recall killing the asylum demon with the starting equipment, it’s funny how skill level grows in these games.

Not at all. 1 and 2 are the closest to each other but they still have adjusted mechanics. Playstyle is very similar however. Biggest difference is the removal of ragdoll physics sadly. Bloodborne plays completely differently. Defensive strategies are just not meant to be viable like they used to be. It’s a game about striking first fast and hard. Some fundamental mechanics do remain from the Souls games though of course. Dark Souls 3 is an excellent blending of the two playstyles. Sword and board is still great, but everything is a bit more sped up. Dodging and being fast is viable now. Plus us all the storylines are obviously all different and pretty good actually.
-
As fantastic as Bloodborne is, you really should play Dark Souls 1. It plays differently from Bloodborne or DS3, but the gameplay is pretty damn perfect, and the story is quite good as well. There is a reason that people are still playing the first game, more so than the second game or Bloodborne.

Counter-unelegant-argument, I got the game free via PS+ and didn’t really care for it. I don’t think it plays particularly well. I’d be remiss if I suggested someone pay money for it.

The Grand Tour - Jeremy Clarkson's Amazon Prime Show
Nolan replied to Julius's topic in General Chit Chat
I have been. Season 1 had some growing pains but they’ve listened to criticism and altered their formula. Season 2 has been a good bit of fun car show to me. -
Impressive numbers. I’m wondering how many double dippers though between the PS4 and then upgrading to the PS4pro. At least it’s a better argument than the tired ole PS2 argument that most the consoles failed and had to be replaced.

I’d argue that you’re both certifiably wrong. To claim that the world is worse than BotW is interesting, especially to suggest more linearity. Linear could probably help both games. Over populated I’d argue against as well. I never really had an issue just going wherever I felt like in Horizon. I could either just run past whatever enemies were present or just take a slight detour around, the detour also being exploration. Aloy talking, well yeah it’s a stilted performance at times but honestly I found her well written. Including talking to herself. Also the franchise is not just about “robo dinosaurs” If that’s what you come away with after playing there’s just no hope.

Some games do offer 2560x1440 resolution on the pro (Titanfall 2 being one example) those that don’t however would typically offer improved or more stable frame rates at 1080p. Or with a 1080p resolution they downsample from the higher resolutions for improved anti aliasing. It is still a relatively small number of games that offer these improvements. You may wish to look at a list of games that support the PS4 Pro and see if they are games that interest you.

I do eventually want to play through 2 and 3 but I didn’t want to do it out of order. And waiting for a dialogue choice really doesn’t count as pausing a cutscene. Some scenes don’t have dialogue choices. Holding the PS button for the quick menu does seem to work though but it’s a poor way of handling it.
-
Given this a start and honestly quite miffed at EA Bioware. Unskippable, unpausable cutscenes in 2017 is a fucking joke. Otherwise i I guess it’s okay. I’m not far in and so far the main issues seem purely technical. A little more polish could’ve helped. I’m unable to compare it to the others though. I played ME1 to completion and about 10 hours of ME2. I would have liked to continue 2 but twice an issue (unrelated to the game) with having to reinstall and restart the game left me a bit disgusted watching the same unskippable cutscenes(!) yet again that I just couldn’t bother.

At least the second one is conducive to the grow a beard resolution. Pro-tip on that on, just stop shaving. Power through that awkward trashy stage after stubble and before trimmable bears length.

Ah good ole uncle ted (no not really. Though I did have an actual uncle ted). An intensely smart man. I actually live about 30 minutes from U of M where he gained his Masters and Doctoral. Which reminds me, if you like criminal dramas, watch Mindhunter. The scenes with Edmund Kemper are fantastic and intense and apparently very accurate to Kempers person. As for Dark. It’s caught my eye a couple times while browsing but I haven’t had the gumption to get involved in a series that I’ll want to pay close attention to. Especially if Subtitles are recommended (which my poor hearing I always have them on regardless).

Have you tried lowering your standards as to what counts as a drawing? It’s kinda like dating. Just keep widening what’s acceptable.

That’s pretty much it. I was going out to check my mailbox. Heard a noise and looked over to see the silhouette of a Fox hauling ass for the field. There are a ton of tracks going all through the snow in my yard. And a handful of rabbit tracks.
