  1. However, in Halo those variables can be consistent and fights will still vary considerably compared to other games even if the variables change in other games.
  2. What he is saying is that in Halo, you can play the same battle multiple times and it won't play out the same way twice (of course with exceptions). It doesn't even matter if you have the same equipment as before (like you died and restarted at the checkpoint) it won't be the same as last time. Just using a different weapon isn't really the same in most other games. In HL2 my playstyle only changes with the Gravity Gun (which isn't very good for combat anyways) Crowbar and when there are special enemies that denote such a change.
  3. I think you're both a little bit crazy, but that's okay. Things do get slowly explained, but it is hard to follow. There are other things that never get explained (which kinda makes sense really) like the creation of the Gates. I'm doubtful either of you would be willing, but I've heard it makes more sense the second time (although I think I got along with it fine). The second season adds a bit more and is easier to follow though.
  4. Welsh. 10char
  5. He is kind of correct, but that doesn't stop me from loving the music art and pure fun gameplay of TWEWY.
  6. The only time I dislike choice is when I'm not sure what choice to make to get the result I want. Ergo, I save and make choices.
  7. I fully support this idea.
  8. Yes I now concur. Also of note is the poorly translated(yay google) original page where I believe the makers says he just didn't finish by april 1st but didn't want the work to go to waste (he typed up quite a bit about how everything worked)
  9. I'd buy my crap to if I wasn't broke and unemployed. So Nyuh!
  10. What CGI renders? This is something real(as in physically). And what are "those" that copyright/licensing applies to?
  11. Thats generally the appeal. It's fun, and with the relatively dynamic AI no two battles will be the same which gives it great replay.
  12. http://kotaku.com/5510693//gallery/gallery/1 If it isn't real, someone went overboard with this mockup and made their own prototype.
  13. How does Halo not have any level design?

    Sadness

Yeah, but it wouldn't compare to the mine cart levels of DKC.
  15. 10 hours is still quite an investment to begin enjoying oneself.
  16. I know some people prefer the second season, but I don't personally. It's still good but it's a little different. Plus it has that terrible "transform" typer scene that the best example I can think of is Sailor Moon, where you watch a lone character change. Terrible! And Hei doesn't just look like a Hobo....
  17. Half-Life focuses more on AI (which is showing it's age) and the story/exploration. I realized as I typed that that HL2 is quite linear, but you travel so far it feels like you're exploring, at least I do.
  18. I wish AlttP was remade looking like this now. More here by the artist.

    Sadness

Well, it was announced for the Wii before we had plenty of info on the Wii itself. Which automatically makes it exciting, the premise also sounded quite nice if they could follow through, but they never released anything worthwhile. Personally Completely forgot about the game after a few months of nothing.
  20. The best thing about Darker than Black is that every story arc is 2 episodes. First episode, scene is set stuff starts happening, second episode stuff keeps happening conclusion. It's quite nice and makes it easy to find good places to take a break from watching.
  21. I quite liked Darker than Black. I did the same thing R_a I got a decent ways into Death Note got bored and never finished it, I just read about it on Wiki and decided meh.
  22. To be fair, most games don't deserve unfaltering praise and that shouldn't be expected out of any review. I can't think of any games I could praise for a 5 minute review without saying anything negative. The review was pretty lol though.
  23. Fixed that for you, since I don't think I've come across anyone else. I just don't find it to be a wonderfully strong RPG like others do I can't really pinpoint why.
  24. That's not true, he talks about games he actually likes at times, and some of his reviews suggest he ultimately enjoyed the game. NMH comes to mind as does Prototype and Saints Row 2.
