  1. Unfortunately this list will be short compared to other years.. It's getting shorter and shorter. My favourite films of 2021 Junk Head Ok this one's cheating as it was my favourite film a few years ago, but that was a longer cut. The film now has had an official release. Alien on Stage - the documentary Feelgood documentary about an amateur drama group performing a stage version of Alien. Very funny Pompo the Cinephile Filmmaking feelgood comedy anime Dune Close call, but made it on the list despite being a part 1. Promising Young woman Revenge drama, carey Mulligan excellent as always. And my favourite film of 2021.. Spider-man: No Way Home That was a very close call. Promising Young Woman is the better film, but the humour and fan service and crowd reactions made Spider-man the cinema experience I really needed this year.. Horourable Mentions Red Screening Fun slasher Vicious Fun A really fun slasher Nobody Comedy John Wick Last Night in Soho Story could be better, but highly entertaining thriller It's a Summer Film! Fun Japanese highschool filmmaking coming of age Pig Drama with Nicholas Cage. Went in pretty much blind, pleasantly surprised. Most WTF moment Titane Worst Film of 2021 Eternals Runner's up: The World to Come (this at least had lesbians) A Quiet Place part 2 (pretty shit but at least had a better atmosphere) Favourite Soundtrack Amine Bouhafa & Lena Chamamyan - Ya Tara The one that got away (wish I had seen this) Also, James Bond, The French Dispatch, and 50 other films.
  2. For me (and probably most of you) this was a terrible year, but I still have seen some films that I love. I'll try to make a list of all our favourites. I'm keeping it simple, no need to rank them, just list them. I won't count honorable mentions, but feel free to mention those and other noteworthy (for whatever reason) films or film moments. N-E's Favourite Films of 2021 Dune (2) Judas and the Black Messiah The French Dispatch Alien on Stage - The Documentary Pompo the Cinephile Promising Young Woman Spider-man: No Way Home Moxie Junkhead
  3. Do a hard refresh Bob.. I had the same problems this afternoon, and harrassed @Ashley on Twitter (as I couldn't do anything on the site). He fixed those particular problems.
  4. Better decide quick then, like I said, the set isn't being made anymore. Not liking the look of that Sonic set.. I intend to buy my first modulars next year, starting with the Assembly Square, which I hear is rumoured to be next in line to have its production ended. I have limited money and space, but luckily I'm barely affected by fomo, so I won't bother with the cool sets I've missed the last few years. Maybe I'll buy a modern technic set as well, I only have experience with oldskool technic. I don't generally don't like the look of modern technic, but I want to know what the build experience is like, and next year's BMW bike looks cool.
  5. Kill myself if Corona policy is still keeping me from enjoying anything (too dark?) Do more sports. With the swimmingpools being closed, I've been forced to look for alternatives (that I'd actually enjoy). I've decided to take on climbing next year, starting with bouldering as that is the easiest to get into. Looking into it now, the options in the neighbourhood are pretty staggering, with 4 boulderhall pretty closeby, 2 climbinghalls a little bit further (with the biggest of our country being one of them), and a free public outdoor bouloderwall practically around the corner. After the lockdown I'll buy some climbingshoes. Play more games. Go to the fucking cinema every fucking week, whenever a fucking lockdown, a fucking curfew, or a fucking QR code that gets fucking lost isn't making this impossible. Looking above, I should give Duolingo a nother serious shot. I'll start with French and German probably. Get a job. Try to make money with something creative. Do more photography. Go on a fucking holiday, if it's even fucking possible. Cancel Netflix. Yes I'm a bit frustrated.
  6. Bought this thing this morning as I think it looks cool and it's no longer being made, the sets you find in a store are the last. Was fun to build, and like I said I think it looks cool, though there were several parts that are a bit flimsy in my opinion.. Dust carefully in other words.
  7. Do you do play unofficial ports? Looks impressive actually.
  8. I've always used the default, that's not the problem. I was simply pointing out there's no banner image right now, is that correct? And I feel like the layout's slightly off, in chrome it jumps a bit, as if compensating for the profile box, but maybe I'm imagining that. But it feels there's a bit too much white space between the menu and the content. That's where the profile box was.
  9. A hard refresh was exactly what I did to make it disappear. Edit: Added a screencap.
  10. I think the box is slightly affecting the layout (and/or something else is). The top banner background is also gone.
  11. Yeah, it's weird, I default to not filling in anything these days, eventhough you guys do know my twitter. It's public anyway.
  12. At the forum front. I could dismiss it, which I've done now. It was just a bit of a surprise to be prompted to complete a profile which has been te same for years more or less.
  13. So what's with the "Your profile is 50% complete"?
  14. Then let me make it explicitly clear (though I find it hard to imagine I need to). Breath of the Wild made some major changes, but it's still an adventure game. Age of Calamity is a Musou game. They're two totally different genres, and I find it ridiculous to compare it to Majora's Mask, as if they hold similar appeal, which they absolutely don't. I'd love a new (non-spinoff) Zelda game with a MM vibe, and I'm not going to play Age of Calamity like you suggest.
  15. That's for the best, filling a huge world with new content (and hopefully dungeons) takes time. Plus it makes much more sense to release it on the new Switch.
  16. Right, but it's not a Zelda zelda game.
  17. Some people don' t consider that a Zelda game.
  18. Yeah loved it. Despite all the previous spoilers / speculation, the excitement seeing all those characters appear was real. And I haven't even seen the Raimi Spider-man films, but I'll catch up on those before seeing it for a 2nd time. I also absolutely loved some of the dry humour and really awkward dialogue. And the interactions with all those characters was great. Some great moments for everyone of them, even Ned haha. Anyway, great way to end this MCU year on a high note after the dismal Eternals. If Matrix ends up being great as well, after Dune and this, I can at least end this disappointing film year with a bang.
  19. Yeah mine's on the way. For those that didn't buy her: she will probably be 300 euros on the 2nd hand market next year.
  20. I bought it on steam, and regretted it. Seemed like it would be totally up my alley, but I didn like it at all. I didn't like the voice acting, they should have gone with actual voice actors, or maybe it was the directing, I don 't know. Willem Dafoe was the only one convincing. There was some odd behaviour occasionally, which was very annoying, making things unpredictable. I can't really remember details, but there was one instance where the cop comes looking for you, where ever you are. Sometimes things play out differently from the previous iteration, without any good reason, artificially increasing the game length. To top it off, the story is so ridiculously convoluted, you think it's about a home invasion.. It's not. Some ridiculous twists there, which is why I haven't bothered finishing the game.
  21. It's similar for me, except I hate roguelikes / lites. But I keep trying them, and sometimes there will be an exception.. I wasn't interested in this but the review, which I read some time ago, sold it a little bit? It could be an exception, but I'm just not in the mood for one right now.
