Surely they would have made those users by just having that option? Person A has Facebook and sees the new Spotify deal - decides to sign up using their existing Facebook account. That's awesome and makes sense for everyone involved. Person B does not use Facebook and wants to sign up for Spotify - decides to sign up and is annoyed they have to have a Facebook account, but signs up and leaves Facebook essentially blank. That's awesome for Spotify and Facebook but annoying for the user. Person C does not have Facebook but wants to sign up with Spotify - finds out you have to sign up for a completely different service in order to use it; decides not to. Everyone loses out. Just having the simple option would mean everyone wins all the time. You have two options for logging into the website anyway! In all honesty I don't care too much because I've been a paid user of Spotify for bloody ages. If they suddenly changed it so I had to link a Facebook account to it I would have cancelled though.

I only know the slightest of the slight about that diet... But... surely that's maybe the single worst thing for anyone with crohns to do?

It was still a shitty move to require new US users to sign-up with a Facebook account. Just by getting "more users" doesn't negate how shitty a tactic that is.

Well Amazon are probably losing money on this. They just sell a decent service that should regain those loses. This probably won't force every other tablet manufacturer to a race to the bottom. Other manufacturers can't sell at a lose because there's simply no way to regain. I'd expect a bunch of shitty cheaper tablets to come out though. Maybe looking like they compete, but are actually pretty shoddy.

I had my card out ready to buy one during the press event. Then no UK date was announced.

Canaaaaaaaaaaadaaaaaaaaaaa!

A big tray of flapjacks at Sainsburys used to cost a quid, now you only get a third of it for a quid and they've just stopped selling the old larger pack. It's like they think we just won't realise. I realised. (And then bought it.)

I'd maybe look around some more designer-y forums that are UK based and ask. Although this forum is mainly UK-ers, CVs vary a lot from industry to industry. There are quite a few specific things that I've been told/seen for gaming related jobs - but I only learnt those through industry specific sites. Seeing as they're both designy industries they may share some similarities - the first thing I've picked up is that your CV should be just a page and contain very little personal information (what you enjoy doing outside of work). Your CV is so they can understand your skills and the interview is so they can get to know you.

To be honest you haven't really got much choice... If you want a decent price then prepare to try and sell each CD to an individual person. Otherwise just use a service that you've already looked at.

True laziness. When it's a public toilet I use a urinal. If I have to use the toilet then who cares because it's all blokes anyway. Most of the time there's just piss on the floor. If it's at home or someone's house then generally things are very clean so whatever you do you just treat it with respect. Simple.

Fecking hippie.

In all honesty I think it got covered by big news channels was because the real news is so fucking bleak.

No if she was a whore I wouldn't have a problem. It's part of their advertising. What I hate is these pop bitches claiming art/music credibility and then whoring themselves out for music videos or some kind of shitty perfume.
-
I don't even know if that's true... If it is then maybe it's because she's just more popular? I dunno. Who the fuck even listens or cares about pop anyway. Fuck, who actually watches music videos. It's really weird.

It was also on the BBC News Channel around 2 o'clock today. Fucking stupid to be on a news programme. "Oh, and back to real news."

I'll be on board for this type of internet gaming once my internet is as reliable as my electricity.

What a little tramp.

Does anyone know what versions of the games they're actually using? I noticed that my friend's copy of Deus Ex wasn't the new patched version. I was wondering whether the updates kept up-along with Steam or not. But then Deus Ex using SteamCloud? So is he essentially playing a console version? Or do publishers just give them a "random" version that is neither PC nor console? He noticed that he couldn't access graphics options and he assumed it'd be at full spec... but...

The troubles they mainly have no is trying to run a server and just how incredibly difficult that is. Also they initially had more trouble because they were in the US and some European service wouldn't allow them to pay or something.

He's using it with a mouse and keyboard. Up/down, W/S and mouse wheel doesn't scroll through the games. Instead page-up/down jumps through 5. Great design for a PC app.

Facebook is so shitty.

I heard this game was horrible to set-up/manage/do anything you'd expect a game to let you do. Based on the crazy stories of GiantBomb.

My flat mate has it on his PC. Got Deus Ex for a quid. Looks terrible. Both the game and the OnLive interface. Would definitely not use.

Nightwolf, now you work for Spotify can you make it so that when I load it up it doesn't ask me to link my account every single time? Also I do pay for Spotify, so I am exempt from the "free service moaning" stuff. Just watched the Spotify and Facebook video... Looks very cool. I've always thought music closely linked to a social networking website would be awesome. I remember MySpace had that sort of close integration and it was super fun and never annoying.
