Looks like a decent action-movie. Not quite sure how I feel about all that magic suddenly but fine, it adds some interesting flow to the fighting, I guess.

And way past!

A demo for this has been released. Go download it now. And then buy the game.

I guess they copy what was done with Mario Kart Tour - subscribers get hell of a lot more items while anyone else will have to buy or play for a long time to get what the subscribers get.

Finished watching the second season of You yesterday. While it was a good show, it suffered from the same problems as season 1 - too slow, too long. It could easily have been cut two-three episodes and have been better off for it. Still, it is a good show. Don't know if I'll watch the third season, though. It has to be really good to capture me again.

What's your definition of mediocre?

It's a spiritual successor to Wonder Boy from the 90s. Mainly The Dragon's Curse. But you don't need to have played that or them in order to enjoy this, it's completely stand alone. And it's a great game.

Slay the Spire?

Confirmed for Europe - game is a download code and it releases on March 20th instead.

I find the battles fun and challenging, and after levelling up a few of my better Pokémon that were at about 1100-ish CP, I have managed to win a few battles. Not 4 in a row, though, which I need to get Scraggy... (fourth win reward) However, the cost of getting a good team is crazy. You need to find the right Pokémon, level them up (Candy + stardust) and then unlock a second charge move (and perhaps TM one of them) which is very expensive for the good Pokémon. That's basically a bit pay to win.

There are news about the multiplayer-aspect in the game as well:

The Battle Leagues have launched for many players now. Just tried it out, it works quite well actually. However, I lost all four battles I tried because I simply don't have any good Pokémon at just below 1500 CP. I wish they would enable downgrading a Pokémon's CP or just truncate it if it were above 1500 CP (and perhaps only 10 % above, ish). As it is now, I'll have to participate in the higher leagues but I couldn't do that when I tried. Edit: I had some lower-valued Pokémon that are much better that I should just level up. However, I also have a few Riolu that would be perfect - except that I have no idea what CP Lucario will end up with - most likely it will surpass 1500 and be unusable. This system needs a large rework!

Hmm... You can't transfer Pokémon from Pokémon Bank to Home if you don't have the Premium subscription. However, Pokémon Bank will be free for a month after launch of Home. That's a really crazy decision. At least let the people with Bank be able to move to Home freely...

Yeah. That's why I'm glad I just got Witcher 3. That's going to fill the void nicely.

Why isn't Animal Crossing featured? That seems like a major omission to me.

Of those games, The Outer Worlds, Pokémon Expansion Pass, and Silksong are the most interesting to me.

Just finished the main story of Ori and the Blind Forest. Couldn't find a topic for it and don't want to create one so will put my thoughts about it here. The game is good, no doubt about it. Story is emotionally heavy, it's beautiful and the sound is amazing. Gameplay-wise this is a Metroidvania done really well - the last I played was Guacamelee! 2 and for some reason I didn't enjoy that very much, but this has been a delight to play for the most part. I do have some niggles with it, though. Mainly I found Ori extremely floaty which made it (him, her?) very hard to land precisely. Many times I jumped just a bit too far or wanted to slide up on a platform and found myself floating over it, to certain death! That made some of the escape-situations (which were great fun, though!) quite hard, I found. Another thing is that I found enemy projectiles hard to dodge because there is no dodge function in the game. The projectiles were often faster than Ori (and me..) so got hit quite a lot - and the enemies hit hard. I think the battle system was far to basic and button mashing-y for me to enjoy. I hope they make it a bit more interesting in the next game. Finally, I found some spikes hard to see because they were the same colour as the background or obscured by something in the foreground, and spikes could instantly kill me, I found. That was a bit annoying. I'm glad they added the fast-travel system in the Definitive Edition, it made my final sweep-up of items much more enjoyable, I think. But yeah, really good game, pick it up!

Good joke with the sword users but yeah, disappointing end to Fighter's Pass.

The movie based on the game Ni No Kuni from 2011/2013 has been released on Netflix. I have added it to my list. Has anyone seen it?
-
Hmm. What a coincidence...

I think you meant to tag @drahkon. But to answer, it's just a matter of you opening the game up for it to appear in the 10 or 12 most recent games. Sometimes you just want to see what you've got.

Well, they added the ability to press left to go the the far right a couple of patches ago...

User bombing wouldn't be that much of a problem if you could only review games that you have on the Switch and only with the user who owns the game. Yes, it was there for a few days. Wonder why it hasn't returned...
-
Adding user ratings would really help a lot, I think. I don't think it's that big of a problem but I do a lot of research online before going onto the eShop - actually I buy most of my games from the online storefront and not directly from the Switch - but I believe that someone less informed about the games might be a tad confused and overwhelmed by the amount of content.
