  1. Fair enough, it was only there to differentiate it from the other 2. There's only 3 of those "X only" settings. Anyway, I'm still totally dying, so if I could ask @Dcubed to post the results screens at his earliest convenience and I'll get the table and next theme up sometime next week. Thankfully, next week is Player's choice night. So it should be easy enough for you to figure out how that goes.
  2. You ever played Super Mario Bros. 3 with some jerk who keeps initiating the bloody Mario Bros. Minigame in an attempt to rob you of your turn EVERY BLOODY TIME YOU GO PAST HIM ON THE MAP!?
  3. Yes, SNES games with online features have been confirmed back in January. Now as to when they're coming...
  4. OK, my phone is proper glitching out and won't let me mention people. Sorry. I won't be able to make it this week as I've come down with the plague. Or flu, it's definitely one of them. There's also a chance that BowserBasher won't be able to take part as well. So one of you lot might need to step up and take up hosting dutires tonight. Someone with a good Wi-Fi connection preferably. Whoever it is, don't forget to take a screenshot of the results of each race, in case of disconnections and also take a screenshot of the end of cup results as well. I'm counting on you. Have fun! Oh, and I'm afraid I won't be able to send out Random Tasks this week, so you can take the week off in that regard.
  5. Righto! - The diamonds are required, and so is the Keyser. (That weird key creature) Make sure you get those. In terms of difficulty, the easiest passage is Emerald and then they increase in difficulty if you travel anti-clockwise, ending in Sapphire. You can do them in any order though. - The CD's are completely optional and are the toughest things to find on Normal difficulty. If you're not going for 100%, don't stress out about them. - Yes, there's a ranking for money collected on each level. It's noted by a crown icon next to the total coins on the bottom right of the screen before you select a level. The highest rank is Gold and is given if you get at least 10,000 coins in a level. (Getting all the gold crowns unlocks a little extra thing for you to enjoy. Nothing massive, but it's there) - The bar below your health is the life gauge, enemies drop small red circles when you defeat them. They fill it up. If you fill it to the max, one of your hearts gets refilled. Fill it up when you have max health, and any future red circles that drop are replaced by 100 coins instead.
  6. Oh yeah, the first stage is definitely the only one that should give people trouble. 10,000 coins is a near perfect score there. And there's a very well hidden Diamond in that level that's required. Trying to get that score on all the levels on Super Hard is where it gets difficult. A lot of the diamonds are replaced by Chests instead, halving their value. Not to mention the incredibly strict time limits leaving you at high risk of getting your money drained away. It's an interesting challenge, for sure. But on Normal, a thorough search will coast you through most of it. Anyway, I've beaten the game now. I'll probably do a write-up like I do in the Gaming Diary thread in the near future.
  7. That ending screen taken out of context tells you absolutely nothing about Wario Land 4! I'm just before Golden Diva with every CD collected. I also got all 18 gold crowns which subsequently unlocked the 17th CD. Will give impressions later on once I rob her of all her stuff.
  8. What if Luigi's Mansion was Luigi's journey to the afterlife all along? It's all symbolic and the better the mansion you get at the end. The better the place he winds up in. Of course, dying in the game sends him to the Underwhere.
  9. Oh, I never said it was a good excuse. But I'm certain it's the main reason.
  10. We've been over this before. Bullet Time isn't a dance move! The Mega Man Shuffle literally consists of twitching your leg. That's a rubbish dance move!
  11. Oh yeah, definitely. But it won't stop them trying.
  12. Ah, F-Zero? I get where you're coming from. But it really isn't the same person... fox-guy(?) as Starfox James. That video was pretty great though. I'm not convinced Dr. Mario would be able to pull off some of the stuff that Mario does in Dancing Stage: Mario Mix (The reason I put the three Mario Characters at the top where they are). Especially the awesome breakdancing sequence on the Bowser's Castle stage. He'd just trip over himself most of the time. In every single appearance in a Pokémon game, Red never says a word. Sun and Moon even has Blue ask Red to introduce himself to the player. Not a peep from him. He doesn't even applaud when he loses in Smash. His Pokémon does, so he's a lot ruder than them. So he's definitely anti-social. And in his house, his only possessions are a TV, a bed, a PC and a Super Nintendo. Only nerds own a SNES. Thankfully, the template I use doesn't include alternative character costumes. So I didn't have to worry about Leaf. Or Alph. Or the Koopalings. (phew!) But you know what? @Dcubed and @Ugh first aid bought up similar points about Villager and Cloud. So I'm gonna conceed to that and swap them around a bit once I'm not on my phone on Thursday. The Link from the Oracle games is definitely the same one from Link's Awakening. But Smash uses the OoT/MM one, which is canonically a different Link. So that doesn't have any bearing on the matter. Good memory though!
  13. I can guarantee cloud saves on a game by game basis is mainly because of Pokémon. Guarantee. it.
  14. I'm glad someone is. I'm open to changing it. Provided I see reason enough to do so. Let's start with Fox. I'm gonna need to see some proof his Dad has got sweet moves, because I couldn't find any. As for Dedede, have you played any Kirby game where he's playable? The guy can move! Then again, everyone from the Kirby series can. Do they have nightly discoes on Pop Star or something? I firmly believe that diving attack is intentional. He's very heavy after all. And Doctor Mario is one place below Mario for the same reason he can't jump as high or run as fast, the heavy Doctor coat. It states that's the reason in his Smash 4 trophy, so I'm gonna assume it would affect his dancing capabilities. It's the same reason Samus is one block lower than Zero-Suit Samus. I can understand why you'd think the avatar characters should be in "It depends" I was considering it myself. But as far as Smash goes. Default Robin and Corrin are what represents them. So I turned to Fire Emblem Warriors, which uses the same depictions. So Corrin's fancy footwork and Robin's slow movements are what helped me decide. Red (I'm gonna call him Red, because that's who is) is completely anti-social and a right nerd. I really doubt he can pull off anything impressive. Villager was a bit trickier to think of. Sure, it's meant to be the player. But no matter what you do, the best move they could pull off is the "Shrunk Shuffle" Which is a pretty decent move. You (or anyone else) find me some proof someone is in the wrong place and I'll consider changing it.
  15. Wow, I didn't even realise I posted... Wait, that's not me!
  16. 4K upscaling? On a Nintendo console? In 2018? EDIT: Oh, right. Early 2019. Still... The continued delusion that Nintendo would want to focus on a graphically powerful console will never not be funny. Switch is expensive enough as it is! It ain't happening this gen. Stop making yourself look foolish, bored Twitter user.
  17. I, on the other hand, have complete faith... ...in it causing arguments at the community centre. Man, that game is going to cause some major upsets.
  18. Wow, you were so drunk, you couldn't even navigate to this page? Get help!
  19. Finished Emerald Passage with Gold Crowns on everything so far. Cractus took me 20 seconds. Yes, I used Black Dragon, I didn't get those 56 mini game medals just for laughs. Speaking of, what's everyone's high score for Wario Hop? Mine's 156. The soundtrack is so insanely chill for the most part, which isn't much like the Game Boy Wario Lands at all.
  20. We Pokemon Mystery Dungeon now! Sounds cool. Funny to think a franchise like this would go there.
  21. Chrono Trigger was one of the first things I put on my SNES Mini when I decided to hack it. The SNES Mini has a stellar line-up, but I feel Secret of Mana over Chrono Trigger was a mistake. As well as DKC2 getting snubbed over DKC.
  22. OK, I'm done. It's not even remotely fun anymore. It's starting to feel more like Splatoon 1. @Ugh first aid is available if you lot want to carry on.
  23. I'm starting to really hate Denise...
  24. Man, I feel so useless without Ninja Squid. Everyone sees me coming...
