It might be worth mentioning these basic controls before jumping in. These generally work for Melee style weapons, but some weapons might have extra features to them. X - Draw Weapon / (When weapon is Drawn) Attack A - Gather items / (When weapon is drawn) Secondary attack B - Evade Y - Use item / (When weapon is drawn) Sheathe weapon Hold L, then press Y or A - Scrolls items left or right R - Run / (When weapon is drawn) Special Action Tap L - Re-center camera ZL - Activate Target Cam When you encounter a big monster, activating target cam lets you focus the camera on your target by tapping L. Just tried the new hunter styles with @Ugh first aid They're really neat! Alchemy Style is great for support while Valor style is all about that risk and reward. The reward being ridiculous acrobatic feats. That said, being a SnS fan, I prefer the utility of Adept style's dodge-Aerial attack combo, so I'll be sticking with that. We're gonna fight the later 2 monsters with @Dcubed in a bit.

I'm not even surprised anymore. I've only just caught up with the thread and will get started tonight. I really like the difficulty options in Wario Land 4. They make a huge difference with enemy placements, treasure locations and stricter time limits. I'm gonna stick with normal though.

Afraid there's no Astalos in this one. Just Great Maccao, my mortal nemesis, Barioth and a new monster that looks a bit like a Jet. Online multiplayer is a pleasant surprise though. Fair warning to anyone who's on the fence about jumping into Monster Hunter with this game. If this demo is anything like the Japanese one, it's not gonna explain anything. So don't go expecting tutorials.

Thanks for the screenshot analysis, @S.C.G You definitely make some good points, but I'm not sure if you're right yet. Not enough conclusive evidence. I'm thinking it's more Paper Mario: Colour Splash.
