  1. Only if you're doing "Hard Mode"
  2. Actually, no. I did a dumb dumb and forgot that you can't buy from Redd twice in one day, so there should still be one left.
  3. Honestly, Dragon Quest XI S was the biggest surprise for me and I already played it in 2D on Switch. A little part of me wanted PS4 to miss out on it because it'd be really funny. But it's nice they're finally getting to play it. The Medium is a cool concept, hate horror games though, so never gonna play it.
  4. You knew I was gonna post it. That moment has me scarred for life. It's made me hyper-aware of any Hocotate Bombs around. And yet, it still manages to blindside me in the most hilarious of ways when I let my guard down or don't notice it. Still one of the best items in Smash!
  5. The Animal Crossing: New Horizons spirits have just now shown up in my pool, now just gotta wait for the Trials of Mana ones. In more important news... The highlight video from the N-E Min Min night is done. Features @S.C.G as default Min Min, @BowserBasher as Blue Hat Min Min, me as Green Hat Min Min, @RedShell as Kirby, Captain Falcon and Ribbon Girl Mii and @S.C.G's brother as Link. (I ran out of space, couldn't get every moment in...)
  6. Licensed Video Game I don't like Star Wars very much... So I'm gonna have to go with South Park: The Stick of Truth. It's so close to being an actual episode, it's scary. Helps that the actual writers worked on it as well.
  7. I'm thinking I should make a new thread to keep our tourney shenanigans seperate. But before I do, I need to determine what day @drahkon, @viceview51 and @S.C.G are all available on. As said before, I'm free on Friday or Saturday. Any time is good for me. Assuming no-one else joins, 4-player games will just be us 4 playing at the same time. 2-player games on the other hand, will have the two top placed players face off while the bottom 2 players will play each other.
  8. Next League Night: Tonight 8pm Room 1: @BowserBasher is host @Glen-i @BowserBasher @martinist @S.C.G @viceview51 @Jayesse
  9. Give me around 2 hours and I'll nab one if it hasn't gone yet.
  10. I will never forgive the blatant snubbing Hawlucha was given in that game. You have a luchador style fighter in a Pokémon fighting game and it's not the literal luchador Pokémon! Scandalous!
  11. Favourite Playable Character Samus Aran. Specifically, Samus Aran from Metroid: Other M. Say what you will about the game, but no Other Metroid (Don't groan) has felt more fluid to move about in. It's the best gameplay in the series because of how fun Samus is to control. Sensemove to dodge attacks and immediately counter with the fast charge shot you get from it. It just feels so good. The controls are so good, that the game expects you to get through the whole thing with no optional upgrades for Hard Mode, and unlike other Metroid games, it isn't some crazy difficult feat that only nutters would attempt. Challenging, sure, but doable thanks to Samus' repertoire. Think I might play it again...
  12. The problem with that second option is that one person might get matched up with an amateur while another person gets paired up with the ultimate Checkers player. It's not exactly the fairest way of playing. I don't see why the more direct method isn't the better option. The ideal number of people would be 12, so that no matter what game we play, there's a perfect distribution of groups. (I'd be amazed if 12 people actually got on board with this though) I wonder, perhaps this could be a long-drawn thing that takes place over a number of weeks? For example, everyone plays a different game from this selection each week and get points based on their placing. Person with the most points once all the multiplayer games have been played wins. Kinda similar to the Mario Kart League I run. I'd be interested in taking part. Provided it happens on Friday or Saturday. I also wouldn't mind keeping score or organising matchups. Had plenty of experience with that kind of thing.
  13. Game that takes you back to your childhood See, if anything, I want Pokémon to move as far away from my childhood as possible. Sick to death of Kanto. Nah, for me, nothing brings out my inner child quite like Banjo-Kazooie. It's weird, I definitely think that Banjo-Tooie is the better game, no question. The first game just accentuates 90's gaming so well. And I am a 90's kid, after all. He's a bear with a Breegull living in his backpack, kid me doesn't question that barrel of nonsense! Slap some googly eyes on a carrot and call it an enemy? Fine by me! Nothing quite reconfirmed my childhood fondness for this as well as when I played as Banjo & Kazooie in Smash Ultimate. Was it because we finally saw an N64 staple finally getting to have a scrap with Mario? No, it's because Banjo says "Wee!" when he jumps in that slightly dopey voice I remember so well and it puts a big massive smile on my face as I'm suddenly 8 years old again.
  14. Hmmm... Not too keen on that one. This is more my jam.
  15. That music was so good, it got a remix in Smash Ultimate, despite never appearing in Breath of the Wild. Despite me not liking the overabundance of ambient music in BotW, that song is one of two that I think are truly excellent tracks (The other being Kass's theme) Another excellent shout. I've played it twice now (Never did that with any of the few Fire Emblem games I've played) and it's amazing to think how much great plot they got out of a NES game. Wow, this day's topic is killing it with great choices!
  16. It's great to have the best Twitter account back.
  17. They're independent from each other. Although, there's bound to be nods and references to previous games and all that. But the plots stand on their own. The only exception I'm aware of is Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse, which assumes that you've gotten the hardest ending in Shin Megami Tensei IV.
  18. Really? Now that's interesting, seems they're listening a little to everyone saying that Colour Splash's encounters were pointless (Which is bull, because it's the only you can upgrade paint capacity, but whatever).
  19. Saddest Moment I'm kind of stuck between two moments. But I get the feeling someone might actually say the same moment as one of them, so I'm going with the other, which is from Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky. And I guarantee @Julius will have a good idea of what it is before even clicking the spoiler. BTW, this is a spoiler from the content that's only from the extra episodes you get in Explorers of Sky, if you played Explorers of Darkness/Time, but not Sky, don't click that spoiler. It will ruin the best bit about Explorers of Sky, you've been warned. Ah, screw it! I'm gonna mention the other moment, it's too good of an example to leave hanging.
  20. @S.C.G, if Colour Splash and Sticker Star are anything to go by, you'll end up with 200 HP by the time you reach the end. You'll likely get HP boosts from beating major bosses.
  21. Is that a female protagonist? If so, neat! The Atlus RPG protagonist is a proper sausage fest.
  22. Huh, so SMT V was actually shown? Colour me pleasently surprised. I've not played SMT III, (only played the fourth one on 3DS) so I'm interested in that HD version.
  23. Hmmm... I'm not certain on this, but maybe you can't put the Rusted Sword/Shield into HOME? No idea why, but it has happened with other similar items that change a legendary Pokemon's form before in the past. @Rob3008, any den can have it. Just gotta keep trying. It is a 2% chance of appearing, after all.
  24. Yeah, I just realised that you were right about not being able to Auto-pick support spirits, it's a weird quirk of choosing spirits from the character select screen. It also never chose a spirit lower than 4 star for me. Oh well.
  25. I don't have the cash at the mo...
