Friend Codes, Fruit, Trading and Photo Thread For Animal Crossing
Glen-i replied to Hero-of-Time's topic in Nintendo Gaming
No, I left all by myself. -
It isn't. Don't get your hopes up.

For those of you who don't want to be spoiled, Doki Doki Literature Club is a really clever visual novel that is also free on Steam. It's created by one of the people who worked on that famous Smash Bros. Brawl mod, Project M. Which is pretty weird. I highly recommend going into it blind.

Pretty sure it's a Triforce.

And thus we have proven that Skyward Sword is a better game than BotW. I'm using Motion Controls!

OK @Sméagol, I got a basic painting from @Katie, so I think that means I can't buy anymore today. So never mind with that previous thing. -

Scariest Moment Oh, that's easy... Seriously Intelligent Systems, what the hell!? (Paper Mario: Colour Splash, in case you can't see the video) Bonus points for the only effective strategy being "KILL IT WITH FIRE!"

Nope @Jonnas. Gonna have to disagree with your choice of Final Fantasy Final Boss music because I would pick... Best Musical Moment Four boss phases, 1 song. Over 10 minutes of operatic mastery that simply puts all other Final Boss songs to shame. No Final Boss theme has quite managed to pull that off since. Dancing Mad is the quintessential RPG finale that rounds off the best Final Fantasy in the way it deserves. (Yeah, I'm not doing that hard mode malarkey, who else is gonna shout out PMD when it needs it?)

Super Mario Maker 2 challenge - June challenge has started!

Fair play, I specifically said nothing from the green section. -
Good, now we're one step closer to the actual good DKC games. I say this knowing full well I have access to all 3 on my SNES Mini and the latter 2 on my 3DS. I wanna do an online 2-player contest once DKC 2 gets released a year from now.

Best Ranged Combat Gonna have to go with @Dcubed's choice of Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition. It's no contest, one of 2 shooter games that I actually enjoy. You see, shooting games on console generally suck. They suck because aiming with a control stick sucks. So take one of the best Third Person Shooters and fix that problem with excellent pointer controls! Yeah, it's not exactly designed for such accuracy (Who needs a Sniper Rifle? The Handgun is my Sniper Rifle!). But I don't care, it's a romp from start to finish! The fact that the Switch version doesn't implement gyro controls is a travesty that still means the Wii Edition remains king. And will probably forever remain so.

Most Relaxing Navigation That's quite a specific category you have there, and one I have real difficulty answering. Normally, I don't really want to play a game to feel relaxed. But, gun to my head situation, I would probably choose... Super Mario 64 Not throughout most of the game, but specifically outside Peach's Castle. Something about the lack of music, lack of stuff to actually do and the relative safety of the area just makes it nice to run around here, practice some moves and generally just faff about. It's a good way to kick back in my eyes.

I have never been called "Mr. O'Brien" online once in my life. That person is proper polite!

Super Mario Maker 2 challenge - June challenge has started!
Glen-i replied to Sméagol's topic in Nintendo Gaming
OK! Here we go. I have two conditions I want everyone to follow. - The level must have a clear condition that involves collecting an amount of coins. The amount you want the player to collect is up to you. Give some wiggle room, or strictly ask the player to collect all of them if you want. - The level must not use any object from the "Enemies" section. That's the green section. If it's in there, it's not allowed. Anything else is fair game. I want to see how you implement Mario's acrobatic feats into your level. -

I'll have to look through the toolsets, see what pops up in my head. Gimme a moment. -
Generally speaking, Mythical Pokémon never get a second appearance during one game. And TBH, Zeraora isn't exactly one of the more popular ones. (Appeared right at the end of the Sun/Moon generation, when most people who aren't me stopped caring) So who knows when it'll show up again? I wouldn't advise missing this if you want one.

OK, so my favourite 3D platformer is a way easier choice than yesterday. Banjo-Tooie You know, for how popular large open-world games are, I'm always surprised how much indifference Banjo-Tooie gets. The worlds are great, Banjo and Kazooie's moveset is ginormous and the mini-games are great fun too (Especially in Multiplayer) The bosses are SO much better than the paltry amount the first game offered. Having to answer quiz questions correctly during the final battle to make Grunty go easy on you is so typical of the Rare kind of comedy I love. Speaking of, humour is on point as well. Full of the British innuendo-laden comedy that made the first game so funny. A side note are the cheats you can apply to the game, which make repeat playthroughs more entertaining. (SUPERBANJO breaks the game so much!) It's a real shame that the XBOX Arcade version botches up the Breegull Blaster controls and stops you from saving if you use a cheat. (No fun allowed...) The N64 version is still the only way to play it in my eyes. Oh right, music is way better than the first game too. I'm a big fan of Hailfire Peaks (Fire side) and Grunty Industries.

Yeah, that ain't happening in Sword and Shield.

OK, I'm never going to be completely satisfied with my answer because I like quite a few villains for completely different reasons, but in the end, I'd have to go with the one that had the most impact on me really. I'm gonna put this in spoilers, because I wouldn't be totally surprised if this got some kind of remake in the future and I'd hate to spoil it for any of you who would be interested in playing it blind. I highly recommend playing it blind if you're remotely interested. The second PMD game is still the best story you'll see in a Pokémon game. And I know @Julius will back me up on that.
