Lot of people are still buying Animal Crossing, Brain Training and Nintendogs bundles. Games that are included in bundles don't count towards chart rankings unfortunately as they're promotional. I think DS is dead for me after this new wave of games (Contact, FF3, Diddy Kong Racing) a lot of the RPGs like Zelda and Pokemon don't appeal to me. There's only a few adventures I want to stick it out for.

No that's not impossible.. Argos are doing the same thing. But even the manager said they're not sure if they're getting any in store. I think Nintendo would be foolish to not have any available to non hardcore pre-order fanatics. I'm trying all over town, there's about 15 stores that may have stock.

I'm trying my local Woolworths on launch day. My theory is they will have sold X amount of units on their website.. and X is their exact allocation. Seeing as they were taking them so late. I'm sure you'll get one.

Our 360 in game has been broken for over 6 months. The DS ones are so broken from chavs who think there are real dogs inside the DS they took them away. They actually ripped the screen up.

If you have the skill to bodge it (some electrical experience) you probably wouldn't be asking. So this will unlikely apply to yourself. The technology is practically the same but the port has changed slightly so you have to buy all new cables. there's a little nobbley bit in the port would would need to be hacked out of your cable.

Mario + Smash will probably be the November Nintendo titles.

Denmark may have a better economy, more competitive internet market or better access to broadband. The comparison is invalid. -
What are your Wii launch day plans? [New podcast Hot Topic]
Nintendork replied to Conor_NE's topic in Nintendo Gaming
I'm considering it, the manager in there is proper safe (though he didn't give me that job) but I haven't pre-ordered. They got the most 360s in Colchester so I'm assuming they'll be fairly high up on Nintendo's books too. I'll probably be between there and Argos/Virgin/Woolworths running around for a system. -
Please do not fuel the fire in me. Use the stickied thread, it's there for a reason. (to discuss launch day plans)

THERE ARE ENOUGH FIVE DAY EARLY THREADS ALREADY OKAY? kplzthxbye

My advice, if it's like the originals get it.

£180 is all I got. Wii + Wii Sports. It's gonna be a boring launch. I am considering setting up a PayPal pledge drive for people to buy me 1,000 Wii points. I will do something if the total is reached on camera. I knew they would have 1 Zelda for every console.. they did it with the 360 as well. 1 copy of nearly every game- they couldn't bloody shift them.

I guess reading the orientation book for kiosk representitives Nintendo sent out is optional. -
Darthbane is gonna go apeshit when he sees this. He already posted it and made a huge deal out of it because he was informed correctly and n-europe and I were misinformed with regard to the official launch. I suggest you start queueing now if you want to be sure you get one.. I heard HMV only has 40 units for the midnight launch!

http://www.game.co.uk/ViewProduct.aspx?cat=11474&mid=329926 Seems Nintendo are keeping these puppies in production even after the peal white Smash bundle. I guess this is their solution for Smash Bros. - you have to buy the GameCube pad.

I think by March 07 the Wii might sell out the 360. It's not impossible. Easy to produce, cheap to sell.. 4 million by the end of '07.. The 360 is on 8 million now. Their target for 6 million at the end of March 07 is breakable. I think the Wii will have sold over 2 million units by Friday. (1.2million so far) + Australia and Europe launch + US/JP restocks.

Try putting your routers IP into the browser and screwing with the settings. I got AOL cheapo version to work in 10 minutes. -

Of course they are.. they want to show their product off in the best light. They're hardly gonna cost cut a few hundred quid on something that important. -

Photos please. With you in them ideally for proof. That is awesome that they've shipped to retailers. I'm gonna be on the phone on Monday with a bit of smooth talking and confidence I'll get them to break the street date. Congratulations.. I think you're the first European consumer to play their own Wii! You might get blog rolled if you want. -

Actually uptake of the internet is only at about 50% and that's probably the best in the West. Only places that rival us are Japan and Korea. So the idea that you can make up statistics like you're in the minority is funking bollocks. For those of you who are unaware Nintendo controls production of disc and cartridge media is able to offer firmware updates inside game discs. Mario Kart DS for instance had a patch in it I was told. So you don't need the internet really.. you do need to buy a game every couple of months if you don't. -
I can say unique new york properly. I'm, Ron.. Burgendy..?

Smoking ban comes kick in on July 1st 2007
Nintendork replied to scubahood's topic in General Chit Chat
The chances of a pub having a regular group of heavy smokers is slim. I don't think people will be able to ignore this.. there is a social responsibility. I mean you could smoke weed.. but people don't, because there is that social pressure to conform. There are some private clubs which are making their staff sign waivers that everyone can smoke.. but that of course is exempt because it's private. Smoking in public is okay as long as it is outside and not around children in my eyes. I don't think the smoking ban carries this. It would be infringing upon civil liberties if everyone had to go to a designated area. The wind diffuses the smoke real easy. I think this ban only covers enclosed spaces and places of work. Also landlords will lose their license if they actively serve under 18s or smokers. They wouldn't risk it.
